  1. You do have to program in the digital stations. I've found in the past that I had to move the antenna around to catch certain stations, since some stations come from different directions. .
  2. My casino ticket says you have to show ID when cashing over $10,000. The last time I cashed a casino sports bet (2021) they paid up to $3,000, no questions asked. Over $3,000 you had to go to their cage, which I have no idea what they ask you to do. The one time I cashed over $3,000 (I bet Bills futures in 2019 because I had seen enough promise in Josh to have confidence the Bills would win 10 or more games factoring in the schedule and free agent additions at OL & WR) I brought a friend & gave him half my tickets to cash at a different window. I bet anonymously at the machines without a card. You can bet as much as you want, although I usually buy a few tickets and break them up. I have a Caesar's account but haven't used it in a year. I find if I have to drive 22 miles to the casino, I'll be pretty conservative & only bet games that I feel are high percentage bets. At the casino I don't like to go on Sunday because it's too crowded, so I won't make a last-minute bet that I haven't thought out as a good bet earlier. I've cashed thousands on horse races & if it's less than 300/1 odds of the total bet there are no forms to fill out. So, if I bet a pick 3 that pays $6,000, if I bet combos equal to $20 I don't fill out anything. It used to be 300/1 on a $2 bet so anything over $600 was tax time on a bet like a trifecta, but they changed that in 2017 to 300/1 of the total bet. Before the change you could still win thousands without filling out tax forms. For example, if you put $20 on a daily double that paid $6,000 no tax forms (20 X 300 =6,000, at 300/1 a $20 bet has to pay 6,020 to trigger a tax form :300/1 + original bet
  3. I have Jacksonville -4.5 @ -109 over Indianapolis.
  4. Cut by the Patriots. Zappe back to 53. May go back to Carolina's PS. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/gm-report/patriots-release-former-panthers-qb-matt-corral
  5. I have a friend with Direct TV who told me an antenna is too expensive. I think the real reason is he doesn't want to try to program a digital TV (Yes, I gave him directions: change input to whatever the one is called for your TV, attach antenna, hit menu, program, and when you want to watch cable change the input back to cable -the input you had on before you changed it)
  6. Wait until next week when the Direct TV viewers in the Buffalo viewing area start complaining they can't get Channel 4.

  8. The team to beat is Arizona, and teams will beat them just about every week. 😉
  9. That's like saying the guy with the 25 IQ is the smartest one in the room full of people with IQs in the teens.
  10. 1) Toney was dumped by the Giants for a reason. 2) If McDermott went for it on 4th & 25 with 3 time outs there would be a 100 page "Fire McDermott" thread. Not a single criticism by NBC announcers of Reid.
  11. On ESPN radio this morning they were criticizing the Bengals for not getting the deal done yet. Funny, I never heard any criticism of the Ravens, especially 2 years ago, when they were in the process of letting Lamar Jackson play through his 5th year option.
  12. My favorite segment "Where are they now" ended many years ago.
  13. Even though he was a former Dolphin (and Patriot) I really liked Nick because of his time on Inside the NFL. I was sad watching the HBO documentary filmed shortly before he died and seeing how he was suffering near the end.
  14. Not true. The game is on the NY ABC station, WABC, which is owned by Disney & Spectrum will black it out. The NYC viewing area is going to have to program their TVs to over the air & attach a digital antenna if they are with Spectrum.
  15. Never mind thoughts & prayers, his family needs to get him some help NOW.
  16. At least the 2 Connor McGoverns won't be on the field at the same time like when we played Jacksonville with the real wrong Josh.
  17. Watched the 1st episode on The CW tonight. It's going to take some time to get used to. Hopefully it will improve. Too much Mahomes love, commercials breaking in in the middle of a conversation (I don't know if this was a local station issue or The CW's problem), and the worst part-NO PICK SEGMENT. I hope they wake up & start a pick segment starting next week.
  18. https://nypost.com/2023/09/01/bill-parcells-has-lent-millions-to-ex-giants-players-in-financial-crisis/ “It’s just incredibly generous what he’s done with these guys. Bill has loaned out $4 million to 20 players that played for him, who come to him in this financial crisis. Bill knows when they come to him it’s a last resort,” Myers said. “I said to him, ‘Bill, you know, $4 million, you don’t expect anybody to pay you back. Why are you doing that?’ “And he said, ‘These guys have sacrificed so much for me with their bodies and their commitment.’ ” Parcells gave the loans — most of which were to members of the 1986 Giants, though a few were to other Giants and players on other teams he coached — without any expectation to be paid back. “He’s put away money he needs for the rest of his life, he’s given money to his kids, and what he has left he’s designated to help those close to him who need it. I think it’s unprecedented,” Myers said. “I don’t think I know of any other coach who sits down and writes checks to his former players who are really in financial need. It’s really a cool story.”
  19. Your ABC affiliate must be owned by Disney and the authors of the article I read must have missed it when they listed the cities. As I just stated above, I know all your cable stations have been shut down.
  20. With the exception of stations owned by Disney (ABC), the local stations are owned locally or by national companies not affiliated with Disney. All they do is carry the network's programming. For example. Nexstar owns ABC & Fox stations in Albany & Buffalo's CBS affiliate (WIVB). When Nexstar got into a dispute with Verizon, they pulled their programming from the ABC station. Meanwhile in Buffalo, Nexstar pulled CBS's programming, putting the ability to watch Bills games in jeopardy last season. Unfortunately, Disney controls the cable stations & has pulled them all from Spectrum. Since Disney doesn't own most of the local stations, they have no right to interfere with the owners' deals with local cable carriers.
