Edited Are you Brohm, his brother or his lady?

What I don't get is why when Berman said, "It's over, it's over...for Houston." it wasn't on the clip. Funny story I taped the game from NBC's pregame through the postgames & right after the touchdown to make it 35-10 the tape ran out. I just replayed that part where Berman said that one thing edited out. This is the 1st time I saw the rest of the highlights after the tape ran out. That tape got shipped to WNY the following week & was copied a bunch of times for Bills fans.

The Bills (Ralph) and Wade didn't just burn bridges with each other, they nuked them. Not only did Ralph fire Wade, but he cut off Wade's health insurance without letting Wade know. Wade would rather work with a peewee team for free than ever work for Ralph again. Unfortunately, this isn't the only time Ralph & a coach went out on ridiculous terms. Just look at the Wall of Fame sans Lou Saban & look back to the ugly incident when John Rauch quit in camp. Chuck Knox didn't leave until 1983, but the day Tom Cousineau signed with the CFL rather than accept Ralph's lowball offer in 1979 was the beginning of the end for him in Buffalo. It's too bad Ralph has turned off so many coaches over the years. Part of our problem today is Ralph's history with coaches. Amazingly, at age 91, he's basically considered the same ******* that he was 30-50 years ago. At least it shows Ralph has 100% of his faculties-and that might be the problem in attracting a new coach. PS: I'm rooting for the Cowboys for 3 reasons. 1) I'm more tired of Brett Favre's primadonna act than any hatred for the Cowboys. 2) Wade is a likeable fellow & wish him the best. 3) I picked the Cowboys this week in my playoff pool.

I agree with most of what you're saying. We shouldn't be expecting a guy who was plucked off Green Bay's practice squad to end up starting for us at one of the most important positions on the team. However, I'd rather go QB if a good one is available at #9 and get our LT in free agency or draft tackles in rds 2 &/or 3. Jamon Meredith is Green Bay's (and now our) garbage, just like Brian Brohm. If either one or both of them go to camp with a chance of starting, we're in for a really long season in 2010. (No devil or any other emoticon needed for this post because I'm not kidding in this one)

Have you looked at an apartment complex? As long as you can demonstrate you can pay the rent & put down 1-2 months security, they'll rent to you. I think your problem is you're trying to find an apartment on the cheap, so you're going to homes where people see someone your age & figure you're out of there in a year or 2. Worse, they see 2 guys and figure it's twice as likely one will move out and the other won't be able to afford the rent. They want someone who won't move because every time they change tenants it costs them money. Apartment complexes don't care as much about the turnover. Someone who owns a 2 family house is living on the edge if they lose a tenant.

What about this idea for Ralph?
Albany,n.y. replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Once you start calling a guy out of touch because of his age, you lose all credibility with anyone who has known senior citizens who are or were sharp at what you'd consider an advanced age. Nothing gets me more riled up than seeing punks calling Ralph out of touch, senile, in diapers etc. You punks know nothing about Ralph, his mental capacity etc. Here's a clue-listen to the guy at his press conferences-he may talk a little too slow for you, and the team may be managed poorly (at least for on the field performance), but there is nothing to indicate he's anything other than 10x more on the ball than those who knock him. Another thing-nobody except Ralph & people close to him know what the succession plan is-it may be very solid, nobody here knows. -
The guy slipped lower than expected in the draft and then GB put him on the practice squad. I believe all along he was brought in to be the LT next season. The guy showed a lot of promise this year, even though he came in late and was just thrown in there with very few reps in practice. Just look at what he did in the last game playing LT. The Bills don't need an upgrade, just let him come to camp & compete with Bell. We can concentrate on other positions in the draft.

Other than letting him play against minor leaguers, 98% who can't play at the NFL level, what did Fassel do for JP? I watched all the games & it was same old JP. The only difference was the level of competition.

The guy is a pedophile and nobody should defend him. Years ago he got friendly with Randy Rhodes & she would have him on & then always talk about how he was innocent of a past arrest for trolling for teenaged girls on the internet. She lost all credibility with me defending Ritter. Unfortunately the guy lives in the same town I do (fortunately I've never met or seen him) & as soon as he messes up it's on the local news. Nobody should ever believe the guy isn't a low life dirtbag. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/on...ild-sex-sting/1

Couid You Pass a Multiple Choice Driving Test?
Albany,n.y. replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I pull over when I hear the siren. I don't then pull back & speed up enough to get within reading distance of the firetruck. What are you doing driving behind firetrucks, that seems pretty dangerous? Unless you're a fireman or have taken a tour of a fire station, you shouldn't know that answer. -

The he didn't fit the GB system is the lamest excuse I've ever heard for a QB. When Brohm, a 2nd round pick the prior season didn't make the Packers' opening day roster, not 1 NFL team-all of them had looked at film & in person games of his in college, took a flyer on him for free. Why didn't they think he just didn't fit GB's system & pick him up with such an obvious skill set? None of them, prior to GB waiving him tried to trade for him, otherwise he would have been theirs. Instead, people like you hold out the irrational hope that the Bills 2009 front office is smarter than every other team, including the Polians & Newsomes. Brohm's skill set may have translated to the college game, but it doesn't in the NFL. I'd say the chances of Brohm being a pre-season cut are a lot better than him being our starter next year.

91 years old. Think about that... NINETY-ONE YEARS OLD

Anyone who would make such a ridiculous statement is the one who is clearly mentally incompetent. -
Raiders to Fire Head Coach Cable Today
Albany,n.y. replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather live in Buffalo. The bay area has too much traffic, the property prices are still way too high, half the people will kill you if you spill a drop of water, and the state is in worse shape than NY. -

It will be Fassel-his son & his favorite QB are already there. It's probably been a done deal for quite some time. -
article: Colt McCoy is "mobile Brian Brohm"
Albany,n.y. replied to dgrid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since JP signed with Oakland, Las Vegas will need a new starting QB. I can see Brohm beating out Tim Rattay. -
Those people who crowned Brohm as next year's starter & then defended his 3 point game would love to have another team's QB who hasn't played.

Not Optimistic about all these coached being reatined
Albany,n.y. replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody expects any labor dispute to last the entire season. Worst case scenario is a 10-12 game season in 2011. If that happens every team is going to need a coach. The thought of not having a head coach going into 2011 is ridiculous. -
Since the next head coach should get a free ride, just like JJ's 1st year in Dallas, let's go for the gold. Draft a LT at #9, let Brohm start all 16 games next year & then draft the next QB with the 1st pick in the draft. Starting Brohm=1-15 next year.

Ted Cottrell was going to be a great head coach when he left the Bills. Then he was canned a couple of times as an assistant. Then he went to the UFL and put together a record setting season-never won a game. April may be the next Ted Cottrell.

Will NFL Network keep the cursing in or beep it? The best line in the series was when Larry Felser said Cookie Gilchrist went to the other team and said - Which one of you mother f'ers is next. Felser didn't say f'ers. It's the 1st time I ever heard Felser able to talk like that.

The actual statement was "Why would anyone go to Buffalo, I've already got the job locked up." Somehow the second half of his statement went unreported.
