College players with off-field issues are complete gambles. Some work out but many don't. Using a high 1st round pick on a gamble isn't worth it. When you draft a high 1st rounder you try to be risk averse and not roll the dice that a player will suddenly grow up. Many of the top picks who were busts had maturity issues that ruined them in the NFL. I don't know enough about Newton, but if the Bills are considering drafting him they better do a background check that includes multiple conversations with the guy. A classic example is the year Manning & Leaf went 1-2. Leaf may have looked good on the field, but he was a head case. If San Diego had done their due diligence, they never would have drafted him. They let his on field play rule the day.

This one statement here indicates you really don't get things. The Jets fans UNDERSTAND the situation. They know that it doesn't matter if they win or lose because regardless of what happens THEY'RE ALREADY IN THE PLAYOFFS. Only a Jet fan with a myopic view, who like you craves instant gratification without looking at the bigger picture, would go home mad. 99.9% of Jets fans are, just like their coach, looking to next week's playoff game & could care less if their 2nd & 3rd stringers lose to the Bills A team. The Jets fans get it & wouldn't go home mad, you just don't get it & I guess you never will. So keep that attitude that we'll never get better and settle for those 4-7 weeks a year out of 16 when you can feel good. I'd rather lose today & win tomorrow because unlike losers like you, I am optimistic that with the right players chosen someday soon we can compete for a championship. However, it starts with impact players. The surer ones are gone sooner rather than later and if 1 loss can help us get one, I will root for that one loss & I'll save my feel good moment for April and seasons beyond. The fact that you don't believe the Bills can turn it around, yet you continue to look at the darkest side, looking to feel good about meaningless wins & that you actually believe Jets fans will be upset if they lose proves that you're the real loser here, not the fans who want & believe the team can do better.

If they can afford to waste $700 on sunglasses, they can afford to be in a luxury seat away from falling drunk fans. I don't even bring my primary reading glasses into the stadium, I bring ones I paid $1 for and I bring old sunglasses. Even though the score was different, this game was even more agonizing than being at last season's Cleveland game. This game showed how little wins against bad teams means. The goal is to win a championship, not beat Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati & 1-7 at home Miami and be unable to beat any playoff team that tries. I hope all the people who put the franchise QB tag on Fitzpatrick, were gleefully celebrating our 4 wins and think we're on the way to the playoffs got a swift slap in the face watching this game. This team needs impact players & year in & year out we get none. I'm glad the home season is over, because quite frankly, traveling almost 600 miles round trip to watch performances like today, when we have to face a real Super Bowl contender, has sickened me & I don't think I could handle going to another game this season.

I Agree! It's ok for the Bills to try to win meaningless games, but it's not ok for the Vikings and a coach who does not have anywhere near the job security of Chan Gailey. No Saint's whole premise of getting the other QBs more time is flawed because he doesn't even know Jackson is on IR. If Jackson was available & able to play, he might have a better case. Webb will never be a starting QB in the NFL. Based on the see what you have in meaningless games attitude, Brohm should start the last 2 games.
