Bronco's cut Chad Kelly
Albany,n.y. replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's now truly Mr. Irrelevant. -
Obviously, he didn't show enough for Denver to feel a need to keep him. All he did was beat out Paxton Lynch, a bust who is still out of the league. If they thought much of Kelly, they never would have carried Hogan as an insurance policy as their 3rd stringer when most teams carry only 2 QBs. Kelly will never be a Bill, get over it.

GIANTS/FALCONS Official MNF Thread
Albany,n.y. replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Giants are going to make sure that no matter how hard Jon Gruden tries to tank this season, he will have to pry that #1 pick in the draft from Pat Shurmur's cold dead hands. -
Mr Whaley: I know you're bitter over your firing last year, but please, stop joining message boards and posting messages under different names that rail against your successors. Doug, you're better than this. Give it up already.

The True reason to fire McDermott
Albany,n.y. replied to cgg716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every coach with an injured rookie QB needs to be fired. The Rams & Bears new coaches each had 2nd year QBs who struggled in their rookie years and were already through their growing pains & then added key players that made them better. I'm waiting to see what next year looks like before I think about everyone's future in the Bills management. Marrone looked pretty bad yesterday, benching his QB for Cody Kessler & then getting all surly about it after the game. ...and Chan Gailey was the coach who punted on the opponent's 34 yard line. I don't ever want to hear about how Gailey was a good coach. -
Who to start against NE?
Albany,n.y. replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ. Can't be any worse. -
2nd year QB has to start. Get a better 2nd stringer, but nobody who you plan on starting.

So if one of the WRs had been wide open in the endzone on his TD runs & he threw the ball instead of running it in, he would be more successful in your opinion? This is a classic example of someone using QB stats , which can be the worst stats in all of sports, to justify their weak opinion. There's no such thing as a rookie QB failure after basically 5 games.

Here's a formula that resulted in 2 Super Bowl championships: In Eli Manning's rookie year he sat the1st 9 games. He then came in and started the final 7. The Giants with HOFer Kurt Warner at QB benched Warner who had led the Giants to a 5-4 record but they had lost their last 2 games. Coughlin gave up any shot at the playoffs to put a raw rookie in in place of the veteran. Manning was horrible his 1st 4 games and then the light came on in his 5th start. Manning worked a lot of bugs out his rookie year as the Giants faded from playoff contention. Get Allen as many starts as possible for the long term good of the team. The goal is to win a Super Bowl down the road, not try to get closer to .500 with a 2-4 current record team.

Some don't like it when they see Allen throw it away and think he is being inaccurate. I like him throwing it away rather than to the other team. Rookie QBs are learning. The clowns who are already writing off Allen because they didn't want to draft him and want to be right are driving me crazy every time they post their nonsense. I'm sure they're writing off Rosen tonight when we won't know about any of this year's rookies for about 2 more years. I'm optimistic about Allen, but it's way too early to tell on any of these quarterbacks. Rosen sure looks like a rookie tonight.

POLL. Derek Anderson chews out reporter in 2010
Albany,n.y. replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember John Parrella and another player (I think it was Corbin Lacina) laughing on the sidelines of Super Bowl XXVIII and there wasn't any backlash. It made the stadium scoreboard, but I don't know if it was ever on the TV broadcast. -
I'm pretty sure McDermott was talking about Allen, not Peterman.

What We Will Know by the Trade Deadline
Albany,n.y. replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anderson needs to grow a Fitzpatrick beard for that to happen. -
It was a little late by September to just dial up another veteran in time to start the season. The Bills were looking for a bridge QB who wasn't going to cost the $10-20 million that Bradford & McCown cost. When McCarron bombed, the Bills were pretty much stuck. Take a look around the NFL, most teams are in bad shape if their starter goes down with an injury. We finally have a great chance at the #1 overall pick
Albany,n.y. replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Giants will not be deterred in their quest for the top pick. If any team gets too close to them they'll bench Eli & start either Tanney or Lauletta. -
But the Browns blew more draft picks than a hooker at the combine.

The ownership has no respect for us
Albany,n.y. replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They're trying to build a champion over a few years, not trying to go 8-8 every year which is what keeping the players you want to keep would get us. You just want to feel good on a Sunday this October, they want to feel good on Super Bowl Sunday in 2-3 years and subsequent Super Bowl Sundays. You must have loved the Jauron era, 7 good feeling Sundays a year. -
Can he play QB? Can't do any worse than Peterman.

Time for you to find another team. They're not going anywhere. Why don't you wake up and look at the backup QB in the league and knock off your criticism of management who know a lot more than you do. Here are some rosters you can look at & see that around the league there are a lot of bad scenarios waiting to happen if their teams starters go down. Most of the backups are other teams rejects taken off the scrap heap or guys who have virtually no real game experience: Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, San Diego, Oakland (AJ was so bad in camp the Bills traded him), Dallas, NY Giants (their 2nd stringer is another Bills reject on his 9th team & their 3rd stringer is a mid round rookie) , Carolina, San Francisco (after JG injury), Seattle .

They get that way because after having to deal with some of the most insane & stupid calls and after a few years they know they're smarter than most callers, because the smart ones don't kill their whole afternoon waiting on the phone line so they can state an opinion. I remember years ago I used to listen to a now dead political talk show host who would constantly say things like "I can't take it anymore, I've got to get out of here."
