  1. "I personally like McDermott but feel he is not the answer. To me the clock started ticking on him and General Manager Brandon Beane in the preseason of this year. You see personnel depart and do well (Chris Hogan) elsewhere." This part of the letter shows the stupidity of its writer. 1st off Hogan left when Ryan was the coach & Whaley was the GM, but the writer somehow blames it on McBean. 2nd, if a player goes from Tyrod Taylor to Tom Brady as his QB, odds are pretty good he's going to look like a better player playing with Brady.
  2. Give it another 10 years and it will be appropriate.
  3. Have all these guys agreed to play in the league or is it just a wish list? If it's just a wish list it looks pretty bad for EJ & Nate not even being selected. There was NFL Europe/WLAF which produced several guys including HOFer Kurt Warner and future HOFer Adam Vinatieri.
  4. 2 words: Blake Bortles. Management understands that they have to get him a QB before firing him because no coach can win consistently with Bortles.
  5. What are they supposed to do, suspend Incognito from his nonexistent team's next games? No conspiracy, the guy is out of his mind. Kaepernick would get a job before Richie.
  6. Unless the owner puts his foot down like Ralph did when he told Marv he couldn't coach when he was the GM, Coughlin is going to be replacing Marrone on the sidelines in 2019. He might have to wait until mid-season next year, but St. Doug won't survive another losing season. If they're in the market for a QB, a local boy is now available-he even has a 2018 opening day start on his resume.
  7. I think a better stat than TD throws/Interceptions is TDs produced than TDs thrown. If a QB runs it in or hands off to a RB who runs it in, what difference does it make how the team reached the end zone? Yesterday Allen was responsible for 3 TDs, a TD pass, a handoff to a WR (acting as a RB) and his own run. That's a 3/0 TD/Int ration in my book. The traditional seasonal TD/Int ratio Allen has of 3/5 doesn't tell the whole story-just as his completion % yesterday was irrelevant.
  8. Shaw: Great OP. I basically said this yesterday to one poster & I'll expand on it: Anyone who looks at Allen's stat line & questions his play yesterday either didn't see the game or doesn't know what they're watching. You clearly know what you're watching. I've been on the Allen train since the Vikings game when I went out the next day and bought an Allen jersey at my local mall. I was wearing it yesterday at a sports bar in Berkeley California where even Pats fans were congratulating me after the win.
  9. You can get a lot of production for a lot less than Bell will cost without a huge dropoff. Just look at what Pittsburgh did this year replacing Bell. Take the $ that Bell would cost & buy 3 offensive linemen-One of them blue chip and the other 2 improvements over the bums of the week we're fielding.
  10. Yes, I wasn't sure which one it was, thanks for helping me remember-I got tired fast of the talk about who could beat up who & fast forwarded it until they got back to the gameday talk.
  11. On one of the post games yesterday they were talking about how Coughlin was yelling and acting angry during the game.
  12. 6 points on a game I expect them to win-I'm tempted to drive to New Jersey to bet it.
  13. Great way to watch a game, throw out his stats without the context of video. When I watched the game I saw a QB whose play doesn't match his stats. If they credited his passes that were called back he may have satisfied you stat heads better, In all honesty, your post tells me you either didn't watch the game or you don't know s##t about the NFL.
  14. You can get the game on a computer, but I think they black out the game on androids. The androids have the pre & post game shows.
  15. The 21st century started on 1/1/2001. Flutie NEVER played for the Bills in the 21st century. He is disqualified from participation in a poll of 21st century Bills QBs. The thread headline doesn't say since Jim Kelly. Whoever wrote the article needs to stick to data only post 1/1/01. I'm one of the biggest Allen supporters around & even I think ranking Allen anywhere near the top 5 is ridiculous.
  16. I believe that it was the right decision to hire someone who didn't have ties to Rex Ryan. If Lynn had our roster he'd be 3-7 too. The main difference is we would have had Geno Smith throwing INTs instead of Peterman.
  17. Will all you Allen skeptics shut up if Allen proves you wrong, or will we continue to see this nonsense for the next decade?
  18. Cleveland should consider bringing her in as a football czar instead of coach. She's an executive, not a coach.
  19. I went to the Tennessee game earlier this year. Petrino couldn't make it so he forwarded his seats & I went with one of his friends who I've been going to games with for years when we had 3 seats together. I went to the opener in Baltimore & I'm done going to games this year. When are you going to make it to one of our 518 lunches?
  20. Matt Cassel. If they're trying out Peterman it's for a practice squad spot and if he shows enough, letting him compete for a roster spot in 2019.
  21. I turned on the radio the second they switched the game off, but that's because I lived in the NYC area & could tune in the Jets radio station. Where was it on radio outside of NYC & Oakland? I know WABC traveled pretty far, and I could get it in in Buffalo at night as well as many parts of the east coast, did you also tune in to WABC?
  22. I've had 2 mice episodes. The 1st one was when I came home one day & noticed my oatmeal packets had been emptied out. I put glue traps in the kitchen cabinet along with plastic snap traps with peanut butter on them. I ended up executing 6 mice total. The 1st one appeared a little after I set the traps. I opened up the cabinet and the mouse was staring at me eye to eye. I panicked, got some oven mitts on and then made a glue trap sandwich of it, suffocating the mouse. Some of the others died in the snap traps, some got stuck in the glue after the 1st one and I ended up killing them by using the snap tracks to strangle them. I always killed them with oven mitts on so they couldn't scratch or bite me. The strangest one was one night I heard a banging noise coming from the kitchen. When I opened the cabinet I saw a mouse stuck in a glue trap with a snap trap on its ear. It kept moving its head trying to shake off the snap trap and was banging either from that or hitting the trap with other traps. I ended up putting on the mitts, taking the trap off its ear & strangling it with the trap. The 2nd incident was hands off. I set a bunch of glue traps in a circle in my attic with peanut butter in the middle on another glue trap. I also put the poison food up there & didn't return for a couple of months. I ended up finding 2 in the glue traps, long dead (neither smelled). Both had dragged the traps about 2-3 feet. One of them had its front legs on 1 trap & its back legs on another. It must have really struggled trying to get out of the traps. I don't know if any ate the poison food, left & died elsewhere, I hope this post doesn't get the local PETA groups outside my house protesting.
