  1. This is why I'll always hate any type of QB rating system. 2 INTS-one goes through the receiver's hands & 1 is tipped & results in a fluke INT. Then Allen runs one in instead of passing for it. A TD produced is a TD produced. The QB's #1 job is to win the game. When Josh got the ball late in the game he drove the team down the field from deep in his own territory and took the lead with a TD . When Darnold had the ball deep in his own territory he couldn't get the job done. Stats be damned! Darnold 13.7 point QB rating win. Allen 1 point game win. I'll take a game win over a QB rating win EVERY TIME!!!
  2. With the time left on the clock I screamed from my seats just kick it to the endzone or coffin corner & don't let the Jets touch the ball, I'm sure the coaches told him the same thing. He wasn't trying to pooch it, he was making sure the Jets couldn't run it back.
  3. It wasn't in the usual place on the NFL's website but I found it: https://operations.nfl.com/media/3823/2019-nfl-record-and-fact-book.pdf
  4. Monday's story: Bills shock Gregg Williams with 6 TDs against his defense. By the end of the game, bug eyed Jets head coach Adam Gase looked like his eyes were going to pop out of his head and B-slap Williams if he dared one more blitz.
  5. According to the alleged leak of the Bills board before the draft, they had Allen on top, it even includes the proposed trade with Denver. It looks like they would have traded up for Darnold, or Mayfield, if Allen was gone before 5. Notice they weren't looking to trade up for Rosen, and that Jackson wasn't in their top 6. The order on the board is 1) Allen-Wyoming, 2) Darnold USC, 3) Mayfield-Oklahoma University, 4) Rosen-UCLA, 5) Rudolph-Oklahoma State, 6) Lauletta-Richmond If you click on the image, it will open up on Twitter, then click on the left side & you'll get a good look at the board.
  6. I picked it up for $24 for the 1st year today. It goes up next year, so I'll see how it goes, but for $24 I can't go wrong.
  7. Very simple answer: They are waiting a week so if they bring in a veteran they don't have to guarantee his salary. In the meantime, Bojorquez has one week to change their minds. I hope he never has to punt this week and no wisecracks that it will be because of turnovers.
  8. They need to room together. 2 men enter, 1 man leaves.
  9. Until the Milwaukee Braves moved to Atlanta in the 1960s Atlanta had a minor league team named the Atlanta Crackers. Even more interesting was there was an Atlanta team in the Negr0 Leagues called the Atlanta Black Crackers: https://sabr.org/research/atlanta-black-crackers Atlanta’s baseball history is dominated by names such as Hank Aaron, John Smoltz, Greg Maddux, Dale Murphy, and Chipper Jones. The Braves also dominated their division in the 1990s, but that is only a small part of Atlanta’s long and storied baseball history. Anyone can look up the history of the Braves and their players to learn more. A lesser-known part of the diamond tale goes back to the days when America was segregated. Atlanta had a significant black population who had to entertain themselves separately. In part due to the pervasive Jim Crow laws, black baseball in Atlanta flourished on the sandlots and local diamonds. Only one local team really made it to the big time, the Atlanta Black Crackers, who played in the city off and on from 1919 to 1949. The Black Crackers took their name from the white Atlanta Crackers squad, hoping to benefit from their popularity and name recognition. This part of the story of Atlanta’s baseball needs to be taken out of the shadows and added to the city’s story.
  10. This further confirms how bad the OL was last year. 40% of the starting 5 are out of the league ( both centers & RT), and the players who started at LG-Vlad, out; Teller traded for 2 lower round picks.
  11. I doubt you could get a knife in the stadium these days with the metal detectors.
  12. The game in the video was the final straw for the Bills letting fans go on the field. They could take tearing down the goalposts but some "fans" took knives out & cut out parts of the turf (which was scheduled to be replaced in the offseason). For the 1st playoff game 2 weeks later there were patches of new turf where they had to replace the stolen pieces of turf. Whoever cut up the turf ruined it for all fans to ever get on the field again to celebrate. I've been to all 3 games above but only went on the field in 1980 and the only reason I even went on the field that day was the guy I went to the game with was a photo buff & he wanted to go on the field & take pictures of the mayhem.
  13. I have 2 entries. I took Seattle and LA Chargers
  14. My Advice to Daboll: Smoke them if you've got him.
  15. It's fine for a punter to be the holder when you know the punter (unless he's injured) is going to be there all year. When you're trying out new punters at the beginning of the week the season starts, you might not want to have the punter holding kicks. Last year the Bills had 3 different punters/holders & Haushka started to miss kicks he's made his whole career. I don't care who is holding, but I'd prefer 1 holder for the entire season & unless his game gets better, Bojorquez is going to be off the team by October at the latest. I still believe unless he has a great game he's gone by next Tuesday. Kidd was a fixture for years, it made perfect sense for him to hold & when Mohr had a lock on the punter's job he made a lot of sense too. In 1990 the Bills punting job was in flux. They started the season with John Nies & brought back Tuten, who they had cut after preseason, after the season's 1st two games and relegated Nies to kickoffs before cutting him after 4 games. That season it made more sense for someone other than the punter to hold, just like this season where Bojorquez is on a John Nies path.
  16. When Ryan Leaf is bagging on you, you've sunk to a new low.
  17. Youse is an acceptable spelling: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Youse Youse Second Person Plural. A grammatical necessity which is sadly lacking in the English Language. Don't you know it's Lawnguyland? 1 word.
  18. I give him until next Monday or Tuesday when they can sign a veteran punter and not have to guarantee his salary for the whole season.
  19. Since Borjoquez is on very thin ice, we could have another season of musical chairs at the P position. Why keep switching holders when the backup QB can provide stability there? Years ago the backup QBs were the holders. Frank Reich did it for years. Doesn't it make more sense for the holder to be someone with a secure roster spot that the kicking unit can get used to having around?
  20. I grew up on Long Island and met many people from Brooklyn who spoke that way. In fact I had 2 bosses in my teens who used the word youse whenever they addressed people. One summer I had a boss who used to tell us "This is what youse gotta do, youse gotta take out the gabbage"
  21. He's coming back for week 2. That's what the holdup is for.
  22. Bojorquez-he fumbles a snap deep in Bills territory, runs for his life & goes all the way from endzone to endzone. The next day he gets cut, a new punter comes in and Borjorquez is asked that when a practice squad spot opens if he's amenable to trying a position switch to RB.
  23. They're probably going to cut him & put him on the practice squad when he comes off the suspension. Nobody is going to claim him & if they do it's no great loss.
  24. Pronunciation Guide: Bojorquez-Soon to be on waivers I think he's on double secret probation. Unless he has a great game against the Jets the Bills are going to sign a veteran P whose salary doesn't have to be guaranteed after week 1. Personally I hope he never has to punt this week & all the Bills kicks are extra points & kickoffs.
  25. 2 more years & Josh is a billionaire.
