I understand the theory that we want Baltimore to lose tonight so that they're "hungrier" against Miami next week...

Is there any reason we would want Baltimore to win this game?

It worked so well with Dallas this week.

I'd rather see Baltimore win & put themselves in position to clinch the #1 seed next week vs Miami. They'll be plenty hungry to get Cleveland & Miami off their backs if they win tonight & set up the clincher next week.  They win this week & next & it renders the season finale meaningless, and they can rest their players if they want.  That makes a win vs Miami MORE meaningful to them.

Okay.... just want the Ravens to lose now. Put that 1 seed into play for the final week

It doesn't put the #1 seed in play for the Bills because if Baltimore doesn't win next week & clinch #1, the Dolphins win the division & we're a wild card.

I watched it thru NFL+ and the stream was horrible. Nearly the entire game was about five seconds of action followed by a one-second freeze-up. After a while, they'd catch up by skipping an entire play. And then, in the fourth quarter, it just stopped and left a "Subscribe" button. So I had to log back in again to see the end of the game.

NFL+ sucks. I tried it last year for the Bills Thursday night game & I don't get why anyone would pay to watch games on a phone.  I had the same problems you describe when I tried it last year.

I ended up paying for Peacock and it only buffered once or twice.  At a break I shut it down & reloaded & almost caught up to real time.  However, at the end of the game I turned on the radio for the final minute or so and the radio was ahead of the stream by at least 20 seconds.  I put the radio on for the postgame but the Albany station, which had the pregame, cut the postgame off.  I ended up watching Maddy Glab's & Steve Tasker's postgame show on the internet.

Love seeing Indy taking a beating. I don't feel great about that Miami game Week 18, so it would be great of we could still get in if we drop that one.

If we lose at Miami the biggest threat is Denver who is 7-7 and has NE, LAC & LV.

I suspect I am aging myself here but I don’t give a triple F, I miss the Arc in Watervliet. I don’t know if that place is even still around but at one point, before DirectTV, or even the internet, it was the only bar in the Capital region that had all the games, so it felt like anyone who rooted for a team that wasn’t the Giants or Jets that lived within 45 min. would watch the games there.

I don’t miss the place itself so much as the experience, as they twice food poisoned my buddy who would often join me on the trek from MA. undercooked sausage and pepper subs will get ya!.  It was a big time sports bar before that was even a thing.

Irrelevant to this discussion but good memories.

I remember when the Arc had the big satellites there.  Then I went there for a preseason game & they only had the small dishes & I raced up the Northway with 2 of my friends going 80 MPH until we got to Saratoga to a bar that still had the big satellites.  A few years later the Arc closed.  I haven't been on that road in years, so I have no idea what they did with the building.

One memory I had was going to the Arc to watch the season finale in 1994 vs the Colts.  I was with a Jets fan & I was rooting for the Bills to lose for a higher pick since the season finale was meaningless.  The Bills lost & picked Ruben Brown at pick 14.

unified Beerworks in Malta is a Bills Bar. Nice atmosphere, great beer. Might be packed.

The link says they close at 9 pm on Saturdays, so they may not be an option unless they are making an exception for tonight's game. It's a lot tougher finding a place to view night games around here than I imagined until I started looking for a place to watch the 2 streaming night games and was faced with a lot fewer options than on a Sunday afternoon.

Mafia Approved! Top Ranked Bills Backer Bars in the Capital Regio (wgna.com)

    #5 Ravenswood, Clifton Park

Ravenswood in Clifton Park has been a top spot for fans of the Bills to gather on game day! With over 15 Flat Screen televisions and awesome food, it's no wonder why it is a Bills Backers favorite!

    @Gugny @Albany,n.y. any ideas?

I'm not a bar guy, so I've never been to any of them.  Clifton Park is, relatively speaking, kind of far to go from where I live when closer options are available.  This season only 2 or 3 games weren't available at home.  I go to the OTB Clubhouse Race Book for 1:00 games not on TV because I get my own booth & can turn up the audio.  Thursday games are tough, because a lot of places including OTB don't stay open late enough to watch the game.  Fortunately, Chongli told me about Twitch where Amazon gives the Thursday night games away for free and I watched the Bills/Tampa game at home.

  8. When I 1st left Buffalo for the final time as a resident, I was hooked on wings & would make my own.  Most of the time it worked out pretty well. I'd cut up the wings, fry them up, add Frank's hot sauce & sometimes a little butter & it was like being back in Buffalo.  Well, I'm not much of a cook & had 2 disasters:

    1) I made wings in too small a pot.  I was making them on a gas stove with a flame & when I put the wings in, the oil boiled over onto the flame and all of a sudden, the flame got very big & was rising. My kitchen was right near the door to my apartment & the flames were reaching close to the bottom of the kitchen cabinets.  I had one hand on the doorknob and was afraid my apartment was going to burn down.  Fortunately the flame came down & I didn't burn my apartment down.  I then transferred the wings & oil to a bigger pot & finished cooking & eating them.

    2) When i moved to Albany a couple of guys got transferred from Batavia.  Of course, they were Bills fans so we'd get together on Sundays to watch Bills games together.  One time I made chicken wings & somehow I totally messed them up.  They weren't cooking right & by the time I took them out they were all soggy & when I added the sauce, the meat was falling off the bone.  The guys called it chicken wing soup.  After that I stopped cooking chicken wings & left it to the professionals.

    Yep. It is getting exhausting.

I used to have a local FM station that broadcasted Bills games every week.

    They no longer do.

One of the games earlier in the season was not on our local FOX/CBS affiliate. I’d already decided that I wasn’t going to a bar, so I tried to fine a streaming site.

Every one I found wanted me to sign up, which I was not comfortable doing.

I couldn’t fine anything on the radio apps. After a good hour of scouring the net, I found some random radio station online that was broadcasting the game.

I don’t mind listening to games on the radio. I wish it was easier, though.

The Bills are back in Albany for the 1st season in years.  They even have the pre & post game shows when it's a 1:00 game. The 4:25 games don't have the postgame show because it's too close to the Sunday Night Football broadcast.

Buffalo Bills fans will be able to listen to the team’s games in the Capital Region.

Townsquare Media announced Friday that ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team (WTMM) will carry the team’s games this season. When there are conflicts, the games will be moved to WPBZ-FM 103.9.

“Our staff at 104.5 The Team is incredibly proud to announce our radio affiliation with the Buffalo Bills for the 2023 NFL season,” Dan Bahl, WTMM Brand Manager and PM Drive Co-Host, said in a press release. “The Bills are once again contenders to win the Super Bowl in 2023, and we are extremely excited to bring every minute of the action to Bills fans in the Capital Region.”
