  1. Please elaborate. I have no idea what you're referring to.
  2. For better or worse, it's the QB who gets the credit or blame for wins & losses. It doesn't mean you have to agree with it, but that's how the HOF voters view it.
  3. It means 3 Super Bowl wins by a QB punch an automatic ticket to the HOF.
  4. That was more a case of not playing Tyrod Taylor because he had a clause that guaranteed his next season's salary if he got injured at a time when the team wasn't sure if they were going to keep him for 2017.
  5. The answer to why he failed when out of Philadelphia is pretty obvious-he was done. Players fall off the face of the earth at different ages. McNabb just stayed too long after his physical abilities left him. We've seen this before with players a lot better than McNabb: Namath in Los Angeles, Unitas in San Diego, Archie Manning with Houson & Minnesota. I can even cite a lesser QB who won a Super Bowl, Jim McMahon who bounced around a few seasons after leaving the Bears and our own Joe Ferguson, who had to have his uniform torn off his back playing 6 more years as a backup with 3 teams well after his prime. Fergy even tried a stint as a backup 5 years after he left the NFL with San Antonio's CFL Texans coached by Kay Stephenson. These old QBs just don't know when it's time to hang it up.
  6. Even with a SB win you don't get in by just for being above average. Phil Simms was SB XXI MVP and played most of the season on another champion and will never get in. It does.
  7. Troy Aikman Super Bowl wins 3, Donovan McNabb Super Bowl wins 0 Another reason to never use QB stats when comparing careers.
  8. I don't see the Raiders tanking at all. They have 3 #1 picks & Antonio Brown added with a QB who had quite a streak of games with no INTs in the middle of the season. If anything they want to be seen as an up & coming team and come into Vegas as a contender, not starting some unproven rookie. I think that Gruden likes Carr a lot more after seeing him play a year than the out of step national media is reporting. I don't see any team thinking of tanking right now. Look at Miami. They took out a cheap lottery ticket on Rosen & if he plays like a top 10 drafted QB with 2nd year improvement they could be very solid for years to come. As far as the worst teams doing it naturally, I still see Arizona with an undersized rookie QB & still a pretty bad O-line being the NFL's worst along with one NFC east team, either the Giants if Eli doesn't show some "back class" or Washington if either or both have to start their rookie QBs by mid season or earlier. It's amazing the different approaches Arizona & the Bills took. They both had rookie QBs & horrible OLs. Arizona signed 1 decent free agent (G Sweezy), and threw only late rounders at the O line: waiting until the 6th & 7th rounds to draft rookie OL help & trading a 6th to Pittsburgh for an OT the Steelers didn't want. Then they bailed on their now 2nd year QB, because they saw something shiny & new. The Bills signed 6 veteran free agent OL men & spent a #2 on a 7th new man. They also signed/drafted offensive skill positions in order to go all in on their now 2nd year QB. That's why Arizona will be drafting #1 while the Bills are in the playoffs even though there was only a 3 win difference between the teams in 2018.
  9. I don't know where it will be, just look out for one on this & other Bills message boards. Make sure you buy parking ahead of time, you can't pay at the gate. It's going to be between $40-50 after fees.
  10. I'm driving to the Giants game since I'm going with Petrino & I have to pick him up in Beacon. I already bought my tickets through Ticket Exchange & they're in my phone via a text. I bought parking through Stubhub because I wanted something I can print. If I can get out of Beacon early enough, I'm going to try to find the Bills fans tailgate party.
  11. I haven't listened to him in a while. I went to the same high school (South Side High Rockville Centre NY) as him. I was class of 1971, he was class of 1972. I never saw him, not even in the hallways. Another famous graduate of South Side is Amy Schumer, who was there many years later.
  12. I thought that we'd finally get a break from mock drafts, but no. Some idiot with access to a national website posts a 2020 mock draft with no idea where anyone will be drafting & the bigger idiots who run the site don't immediately fire him or her & tell him or her that they will not publish any more of this nonsense at least until the draft order has been established. Please stop feeding the trolls on websites who post mock drafts less than 1 month after the just completed draft. Who give's a rat's behind where these idiots think we'll be drafting. For the record I predict the Bills will have the last pick of the 1st round for the next 20 years & I have just as good a shot of being right as these one year ahead clowns do.
  13. It depends on where you are & what broadcast you're watching. If you're in Buffalo, WGR tries to synch up with the TV broadcast. The last time I brought a radio to the stadium, WWKB had the live call that you can listen to which is ahead of the TV broadcast. When I'm home in Albany the TV is ahead of the Bills internet broadcast. We don't have a radio station anymore in Albany. The last time we did, the over the air broadcast was ahead of the TV, especially when watching a satellite feed at a bar. I used to go to sportsbars & know the play before it was on TV by listening to the radio. Nowadays I don't mix the TV & radio audios. At home I just listen to the TV & I now go to OTB where I get my own booth with a TV so I just listen to the TV broadcast.
  14. My best memory of Sue goes back to the weekend Jim Kelly went to the HOF. We had a bus trip that started at Jack's office in Syracuse, with pickup points in Rochester & Orchard Park. Most of the people were at the 2 other stops. Sue came from NJ with a friend & I came from Albany alone after Petrino had to bail. We got there early enough that we were all able to go to the Dinosaur. Then we went back to Jack's office & got on the bus & headed to Canton.
  15. You and those who think like you (yes I know there are many but you're all dead wrong) have it backwards. Coaches don't ruin QBs. Bad to mediocre QBs ruin coaches. Tannehill wasn't much before, during, or after Gase. The term coach-killer is appropriate for a QB, the term QB killer is not appropriate since no coach has ever destroyed the career of a good QB. Here's an example of a coach who tried to kill a QB: When Atlanta drafted Brett Favre Jerry Glanville wanted nothing to do with him. In spite of Glanville's attempt to ruin him, Favre got traded & is now in the HOF. No coach can ruin a QB no matter how hard he tries.
  16. Miami, same record with Rosen or Fitzpatrick. It really doesn't matter which one is the starter & which one is the backup.
  17. Including camp & preseason, 4 of the QBs taken in 2007 have worn a Bills uniform at some point in their careers. Nowadays our backup QB is one of the career backups taken in the 2013 draft, which produced a bunch of 2nd & 3rd stringers but no long term starters.
  18. I wrote this on another Bills board on New Year's Day 2013, it wasn't that hard to know unless your name is Nix or Whaley: What if this draft is similar to 2007, 2002 or even 1996?
  19. I'm surprised that nobody has said they're moving on from him with the signings of Lee Smith & Moral Stephens.
  20. Not defensive, just telling it like it is. The comment was idiotic since anyone on a message board is in some way wasting fee time. I'm doing that right now but I don't care since I'm retired & have all the free time in the world.
  21. I was looking for something else when I stumbled onto this. I never found what I was looking for & gave up. People who are spending their free time on a message board themselves shouldn't throw stones from their glass house.
  22. I find it ironic that Arizona did with Josh Rosen what many advocated for if Josh Allen didn't show enough-draft another QB if Josh played poorly enough that we got the top pick.
