  1. 2.5. 25% chance win, 75% chance lose. Basically a 1 in 4 shot. Unlikely, but not impossible.
  2. I think C. McDermott is the only inactive whose status isn't injury related.
  3. Greatest Eagle of all time: Glenn Frey. I doubt Jason Peters can even carry a tune. Saved Ralph & the Pegulas a lot of money
  4. aI had really bad kidney stones 11 years ago. I had a couple of minor incidents with kidney stones before then, but they were never as bad. Ended up with 2 emergency room visits & 2 operations. 1st time I went to the emergency room they gave me some morphine, took some blood tests, sent me home to pass the stones & scheduled an appointment with a urologist 8 days later. 4 nights later I hadn't passed the stones, was in total agony and couldn't sleep from the pain. I called the doctor's office the following morning & was told that instead of waiting 3 more days until my appointment to go back to the emergency room. I went to ER, it turned out my kidneys had stopped functioning properly so they did an operation to put stents in to get my kidneys back to normal & scheduled another operation about a week later to surgically remove the stones because they were too big to pass. I had the 2nd operation, they kept the stents in for about a month. I missed 3 weeks of work and had to get a note from the doctor before they'd let me back at work. I had a 2 or 3 more incidents after that, but I was able to pass the stones and I haven't had any kidney stones in the past 7-8 years. I take Potassium Citrate every day & drink lemonade every day. I never found out why I had such bad stones, but I think it was caused by eye vitamins, although I could never prove it. If anyone is taking Clear Eyes with lutein and develops stones stop taking them & never take them again.
  5. EVERY QB in the NFL plays erratically at times & if you watch every down a team plays, like many of us do with the Bills, you can always say that about your team's QB. Until a QB comes along with a 100% completion % and 0 INTS fans who watch every down will say the guy makes stupid decisions sometimes. It's the QB's & coaches' jobs to cut the bad throws down to an acceptable level, meaning they cost as few games as possible. Still they'll always be there. Even Brady has throws he wants back. One of the stats that are talked about with great QBs is their 4th quarter comebacks. Many of those comebacks are the result of something bad they did earlier in the game. A perfect QB would never have to have a 4th quarter comeback because he'd win every game wire-to-wire.
  6. I think the coaches know Josh well enough so that they know what he'll respond to and not get offended by. One of the great coaches of all time is Bill Parcells. You can see numerous tapes of him getting on players during games, but he only gave them what he knew they could handle.
  7. I don't think any greats would bust in a bad system. The only way a team can ruin a QB is by putting him in a situation where he gets a career threatening injury. The fact that virtually zero 1st round QB busts have blossomed with other teams when given 2nd & 3rd chances shows that the only thing that ruins a highly touted QB is his own lack of talent when facing NFL competition. The greatest coaches & the greatest systems couldn't have turned EJ & JP into decent NFL QBs.
  8. How many games has he played this year? Yeah, let's trade for an injured 30 year old player who gets older every day. We can't even get the ball to Foster and you want to bring in another receiver?
  9. I'm looking forward to seeing what Duke can do too. His time will come-probably when someone tries to steal him from the practice squad. However, I think Zay Jones is getting a bad rap and since none of us see what goes on in practice, I'll defer to the roster decisions the team makes.
  10. Good to see we have someone here who has seen all the practices. Please do us a favor & report every day so we can know what's going on behind the scenes. In the event that you can't do that because you are not at every practice, please let the coaches, who see these players every practice, continue to make the decisions without ridicule from the peanut gallery.
  11. All this negativity, look at the positive side: He lasted almost twice as long in New England as Anthony Scaramucci lasted in Washington.
  12. The NBA's Houston Rockets had a 1st round pick, Royce White, who was afraid of flying, among other anxieties. He never played for them & has bounced around (pun intended) teams in minor & foreign leagues: Before the start of his first NBA season with the Rockets in 2012, Royce wanted to take his time adjusting to NBA life because of his disorder. He did not show up on media day or the first week of training camp because he wanted the team’s permission to travel to away games on a bus — to manage his anxiety a bit better. The flying schedule in the NBA is a lot more frequent than in college, so it was going to be tough for him. Royce was quoted saying “To go from 20 to 98 flights, which is the NBA’s travel schedule, is too much exposure for someone with a phobia”. He wanted the NBA to address his condition with a policy, he tried to meet with NBA commissioner David Stern to talk more about it, but never got the meeting. The Houston Rockets did his best to accommodate him without following a certain league standard. But the situation with the Rockets never got better throughout the season. He said the Rockets were inconsistent with the agreement to help him with the anxiety disorder. Royce ended up getting suspended later in the season because the Rockets were said he was not fulfilling his contract. He never showed up for his d-league assignment because Royce says they did not allow mental health professionals there. His time with the Rockets simply did not work out. They ended up trading him to the Sixers, but he was waived before end of the season. https://www.basketballnetwork.net/the-nba-player-that-had-a-fear-of-flying/
  13. Split with them & win the division, then sweep the playoffs & win the Super Bowl. Wild card hopes are for losers.
  14. This reminds me of one of the funniest comments I heard about a winning team. Back in 2000 the NY Giants had the NFC's best record. Someone in the media called the Giants "the ugliest 1st seed since Martina Navratilova" The Giants won the NFC, but lost to the Ravens in the Super Bowl.
  15. Rob Johnson is the poster boy for being injury prone. I remember a game vs the Eagles in 1999 (week 3) where the Bills were winning easily and put Rob Johnson in in the 4th quarter. I joked that Rob would get injured when he came in and all it took was 2 series before Rob left the game with an injury. To me, any player who is injury prone gets compared with Rob Johnson.
  16. You seem to be forgetting that they've rebuilt almost the entire offensive with free agents. Added to the O-line Morse, Spain, Nsekhe, and especially reasonably priced Feliciano to the list of hits, now add WRs Smoke Brown, Beasley, the yet to be see Roberts who when ready should be a big boost to the return game, Gore as a player & mentor, finally, on defense, Murphy who is healthy & a force and I'd rate them WELL ABOVE average.
  17. One of the reasons I felt confident betting the various over win totals that were available at the casino was because we have a pretty easy schedule. We have some pretty lousy teams yet to come: Cincinnati, Miami (2X), Denver, Washington & possibly Pittsburgh. That's 5-6 extra wins that should be added to the 1st 2 before we even get to some of the games that we're about 50-50 to win. This is a 9-10 win team at worst.
  18. Obviously the author is one of those guys who didn't like Allen coming out of Wyoming, doesn't watch Allen play in Bills games and thinks if he calls Josh inconsistent he will have credibility with people as ignorant of the Bills current team as he is.
  19. They didn't say it broke. Two injury prone players.
  20. I guess his Bills debut won't happen Sunday. Starting to remind me of Rob Johnson.
  21. Also, Indy fired the coach & GM, so if they were truly tanking like Miami, they wouldn't have cleaned house.
  22. Actually they did. They signed Kerry Collins, who started 3 games, sucked, then got hurt, went on IR in late October & never played again. It's a myth they didn't try to get a viable NFL QB. It just didn't work out with Collins & then they were screwed because it was too late to get another potential starting QB, so they went with who was left on their roster.
  23. I'd bet any team with 8 out of 11 new starters on offense would still need to tighten things up 2 weeks into the season before they are ready to compete with the world champions.
