  1. It looks like he's getting a head start on his coaching career at a player's salary instead of entry level coaching pay.
  2. The fans, who have been staying home eating all day and will have a tough time fitting into the seats at New Era. Who won't be coming in out of shape: NY Jets D players-every morning their phone rings & on the other end is some guy banging a trash can and screaming at them to get out of bed and work out.
  3. It's not a big deal, I was just setting the record straight because I remember Jim Kelly lying on the ground knocked out with ex-Bill WR turned DB now NFL analyst Bucky Brooks standing over him.
  4. If it's so irrelevant why would you bring it up that I posted it? It's relevant if you revise history.
  5. The last home playoff game was vs Jacksonville a year later, Kelly's last game.
  6. When Tasker asked the question who they thought was picked too high, I knew there was no way any of them would answer it. They're not about to criticize another team publicly for reaching. That's for Mel Kiper to do, not NFL employees.
  7. I, like I'm sure many others on this board, was at Shula's last game. The game was 12/30/1995. The Bills beat the Dolphins 37-22. To this date, it was the last time the Bills won a playoff game.
  8. They would have moved up for Watson & the conversation would be the same. Here's something I haven't seen discussed very often: If Rex Ryan was still the coach, the Bills would have taken Watson. No way Rex lets a Clemson guy get away.
  9. My prediction isn't among the available choices. Season starts in February and follows the USFL model.
  10. I can't tell if you're delusional or being sarcastic. No team prepares for the future with a 5th round QB who is undersized and has a below average arm. At best he's being looked at as Barkley's replacement since Barkley's contract is up after 2020.
  11. What is he talking about? He compares Josh Allen to Jim Kelly's father, Joe Kelly. Does that mean he's predicting Josh Allen will have a HOF QB for a son?
  12. After the 4th round, anything you get out of the draft is a bonus. To give Ds out on late rounders is ridiculous. This is one of the reasons in past drafts Beane has traded up in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds, because early quality is better than late quantity.
  13. Except for the FACT that it was no secret that the Bills wanted Allen, not Rosen. Go back & look at all the 2018 mock drafts. It was well known throughout the media that the Bills wanted to trade up for Allen, not Rosen. To think Tampa Bay didn't know the trade was for Allen when virtually the entire NFL & the people who cover the NFL knew the Bills were much higher on Allen than Rosen assumes a level of incompetence on the part of Tampa Bay that defies belief. Anyone who did an extensive review of pre-draft coverage knows what I said is completely true. Now you can come back with talk of smokescreens & stuff like that, but take some time (like I did) and look at the mock drafts & you'll realize that it was no secret how the Bills felt when it came to choosing between the 2 Joshs. Just about every well known "NFL Insider" had the Bills taking Allen. If it was one or 2 you might have a case, but it was virtually every one of them.
  14. I'm sure there are plenty of times when the team trading down knows exactly who the other team is trading up for. A good example is when we sent picks to Tampa to get Josh Allen. Before the draft, most late mock drafts had the Bills trading up for Allen, although most had them going higher than 7. Another example is when Houston traded up for Watson. I'm pretty sure Cleveland knew exactly who Houston wanted.
  15. The problem is they appear to have invited friends over who are young & could be transmitting the virus to the parents there without knowing it.
  16. There's no way that all those people at those homes all live there. Social distancing does not exist for NFL rookies.
  17. My guess is that if there's a season with no fans in the stands, the NFL is going to expand the availability of Sunday Ticket to just about everyone with a computer or cable. The Direct TV customers will be given it free as an incentive not to switch providers, mainly because the NFL will be giving Direct TV a break since they will lose exclusivity. .
  18. It was a half hour from 6:30-7:00.Chris Brown, Maddy Glab & Eric Wood were on. Wood is trying to catch Fitz with his beard, but he has a long way to go.

  20. Brunell didn't wander until late in his career. He was drafted by GB, sat behind Favre for 2 years, got traded to Jacksonville & became entrenched as their starter for years. Not For Long.
  21. I lived 1.5 miles north of the stadium, off Abbott Rd, in 1977. I walked to the 1st 2 home games, so I was in the stands. There's a very good chance I yelled "you suck" at him every time he missed a FG in each of those 2 games.
  22. There's only one way Tua falls to 54: His medical reports are so bad that his ever having a career in the NFL is doubtful. So why would anyone use the team's 1st pick in the draft on a player whose medical reports indicate he may never play? McGahee was a 1st round pick.
  23. The UFL lasted 3 seasons & part of a 4th, a lot longer than the AAF & XFL-each could not complete even 1 season. I went to 1 game in Hartford on Thursday night 11/12/09. The NY Sentinels played a game in Hartford & even though they claimed the attendance was 5,201, I was counting the people in the stands & got between 1,500 & a little less than 2,000 allowing for people in bathrooms & at concession stands at the high end. It was pretty easy to count because most of the people were at the 1st level around midfield & I was able to calculate the total seats in the 2 sections and just subtract the empty seats. The rest of the scattered attendance was easy to count on a person by person basis. I also took pictures of every section of the stadium in the 1st half and verified my count after I got home the following afternoon. The next morning I got a copy of the Hartford Courant newspaper beforeI went home & after I got home I got into an e-mail argument with the guy who wrote the column on the game because he said the attendance was 5,201 & I e-mailed him asking him why he didn't mention the attendance was a false figure. At one point he said I couldn't know it wasn't 5,201 & I told him I had counted and taken photos & I could send the photos to him & he could count them himself, but I never got to the point of sending him a bunch of e-mails, as the files were too big to send in 1 e-mail (I tried in my 1st e-mail to attach the photos & the e-mail got rejected as too large from my provider) After that attendance fiasco, the UFL moved the team to Hartford for the 2010 season & played 4 home games as the Hartford Colonials. The attendance for each of the 4 games was announced as around 14,000, but I can't believe it was anywhere near that based on the low turnout of the game I attended & the fake attendance announced at that game. The Colonials suspended operations for the 2011 season & never played another game after 2010. They're never coming back, well at least not until the 2039 season based on their having a season once every 19 years.
  24. He has to drink something strong to wash that dick taste out of his mouth.
  25. In reality, they have very similar career paths through their 1st 5 years. Primary starter for 5 years after being the #1 pick in the draft. Not wanted by his team after 5 seasons as their starting QB. Carr went on to be a backup and his career lasted a decade. Winston still has a shot of outdoing Carr, but to say Winston is that much better than Carr through their 1st 5 seasons just isn't true. There are a lot of teams that would be willing to bring in Winston as a backup if he is willing to accept a backup salary. My prediction: Pittsburgh.
