I've watched all but 1 Giants game (when the Bills played at the same time) and Nabers is amazing. -

Replay showed only Dallas should have been called for the facemask penalty. Giants got screwed. -
The Ravens have a bigger problem than the Bills. Justin Tucker seems to have lost what made him the league's best kicker. He's such an institution down there, that they are stuck with him. If a kicker is going to cost his team the game on Sunday Night Football, it's going to be Tucker, not Bass.

He loves 14-Mike White. Gives insightful advice during the game sitting in street clothes on the bench. 😀

Overcoming adversity is one of the reasons I don't believe a young QB can be ruined. I believe that people use the ruined excuse way too often because they don't want to admit the guy never had it to be an NFL QB. Josh had a horrible O-line & bad WRs in his rookie year, but even as a rookie he elevated everyone around him, willed the team to victories very few QBs could have & still took his lumps and looked bad to the stat boys. Now a QB's progress can get ######ed, but ruined, I say no. I also think times are changing. Years ago, guys like Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold would have been written off as either total busts or career backups. Now we're seeing these guys rise from the ashes of their careers and become productive starting QBs. Edit : Those filters are tough. I used a word that is properly used to indicate that a person's progress can get slowed down, and because of PC, it was censored. Here's the definition: verb simple past tense of xxxxxx. Synonyms: slowed, delayed, decelerated to make slow; delay the development or progress of (an action, process, etc.); hinder or impede.

2nd year in a row the team with the #1 pick ignored size, and went for the small QB, only to watch the #2 pick be on a career path that will dwarf their dwarf.

My only regret watching Josh Allen is I may not live long enough to see his HOF induction. I went there for Kelly's on the Two Bills Drive bus.

From his rookie season on, Josh has always raised up his WRs. As a rookie, he made Robert Foster, an undrafted FA, look like a quality NFL receiver. Once the Bills brought in better WRs, Foster disappeared & has been a non-factor ever since. He elevated John Brown in 2019, and then Stefon Diggs was brought in as a #1 and with Josh exceeded anything he did in Minnesota, Jacksonville is now finding out that Gabe Davis without Josh is really a JAG as in Just a guy. Now, the Bills are following KC's model when they traded Hill. When you have a superstar at QB, you don't really need a superstar at WR. When a WR leaves Josh & the Bills, he basically disappears from NFL relevance.

Caleb Williams out of the 1st round. 7 months away from a hit & run charge? -
In 2019 I thought NE was going to blow out the Jets in their 2nd meeting of the season. I went to the casino & was able to buy different points. I tiered the bets with the maximum NE -18.5 with the odds better the more points I gave. I would have gone even higher if they didn't cap the points at 18.5. NE won 33-0 and I cashed all my bets. Good luck, I hope you're right.

Suddenly, Sam Darnold is playing like a top 3 pick when we need Minnesota to have a high draft pick. Remember when we thought the Vikings would be horrible and our 2nd round pick from the Diggs trade would be in the low 30s? It will be interesting to see what happens with Darnold after this season if he continues to play at a high level. Would Minnesota consider re-signing him to a big contract & putting McCarthy on the trade market or let Darnold walk in free agency. I could see the Giants making a big play for him if he's a UFA. Imagine him coming back to NY and winning as Giants QB while the Jets have nobody once Rodgers retires.

I didn't get anything, but I was horrible in my pools. 3-11 so far and knocked out of suicide by the Giants, or should I say knocked out of suicide because I didn't realize. how washed up Watson is.

Does anybody else prefer to watch Bills games alone?
Albany,n.y. replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can handle watching with 1 or 2 Bills fans but I don't like bars where I can't hear the sound. Once in a while Petrino will come up from Beacon when the game is on here but not in NYC. I'm fine with that. When the game isn't on home TV, I'll go to OTB where they have booths with individual TVs. I used to watch the games there with the late Maury May Jr. (son of the old Buffalo News harness writer) but he passed in 2020 so now even at OTB, I watch it alone. -
Greg Joseph. Gano is hurt. So much for finding a replacement kicker in season-for all you replace Bass people.

Carolina is so bad, they might have to move to the UFL.

Why not trade for a dependable kicker?
Albany,n.y. replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We may or may not be stuck with Bass. If he gets really bad (and I don't think one bad kick so far qualifies) they'll have no choice but to replace him. Now, in season, they'll have to settle for someone not good enough to make an opening day roster, but if Bass goes bad, they'll have no choice. -

No team is trading their kicker to the Bills. Might as well ask them to trade their best WRs too. -
Long-term future of the Bills defensive backfield?

I expect Elam to be traded during this season. -
Bryce Young already benched in Carolina
Albany,n.y. replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we Bills fans can relate to the Panthers fans. In 2004 Bills GM Tom Donahoe wanted to draft Ben Roethlisberger but couldn't find a way to trade up (I still blame him for not offering enough to entice a team ahead of Pittsburgh to trade with him). So, after Pittsburgh drafts Roethlisberger 2 picks before the Bills, Donahoe trades up later in the 1st round to draft J P Losman giving his 2005 pick to Dallas. In 2005 the Bills pick sent to Dallas is #20. At #24 Green Bay picks Aaron Rodgers. -
Bryce Young already benched in Carolina
Albany,n.y. replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
He played well his rookie & 3rd seasons. In year 4 he was playing with an injury & gutted it out. So, after a mediocre sophomore season and an injury plagued 4th season, Cleveland went for Watson when he was available, dumping the guy who played when he really shouldn't have. Now he was bad in Carolina, but every QB who plays in Carolina looks bad. Years ago, when a 1st or 2nd round QB was dumped by the team that drafted him while still on his rookie contract, it was a career death sentence. Suddenly, guys like Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are coming back from the NFL graveyard. Who knows, maybe somewhere in SoCal Josh Rosen is getting his hopes up for a comeback where he can finally prove there really were 9 mistakes ahead of him. 😄 -

This reminds me a lot of EJ Manuel's 2nd season here. Benched for a veteran by a coach who has seen enough of him to realize he's a bust & replacing him before the coach loses the locker room. Also similar to when Kelly Holcomb replaced JP Losman. It doesn't take a coach very long to have a QB who sucks in games & practice enough so that the coach goes into self preservation mode & benches the young guy because the veteran "gives us the best chance of winning Sunday" -
Will Levis is 2 for 2 getting game balls. Unfortunately for Tennessee, it's their opponents awarding him game balls. I looked at the QB depth charts & it's amazing how many bad QBs occupy other teams' rosters.

I think Caleb Williams shares a similar problem with Bryce Young, the last two #1 picks. Even though he's bigger than Young, they're both undersized for an NFL QB. If you draft an undersized QB & the put him behind an average or below average O-line, he isn't going to make it. While I still don't buy that you can ruin a QB, you surely can put him on the path to a short career with a really bad O-line. My best case that you can't ruin a QB by sending him out as a rookie with a bad O-line & no talent around him is our own Josh Allen. The 2018 Bills had what might have been the worst O-line in team history. They also had no receivers & Josh was running for his life half the time. The fact that he made a guy like Robert Foster look like a legit NFL WR, showed that even as a rookie with bad stats, he was already elevating the players around him. Josh was just unbreakable as are most talented QBs. If they can't learn to be better by experiencing adversity, they were never destined for stardom to begin with.
