I regret never going to the Rockpile. I arrived in WNY in 1971 & I had heard so many stories how bad things were in the neighborhood I was afraid to bring my car there. Ironically, in 1978 I was working on the Erie County Re-val & worked in that neighborhood, going into many of the homes. When we were there, we met at the Masten Street Armory in the mornings-across the street from the Rockpile. The game that I regret going to the most isn't a Bills game. I was living in Long Island in 1985 & could have driven to NJ to watch the USFL Championship game that turned out to be the last USFL game ever played. It was a rainy day, so I didn't go.

Carolina: Hold my beer. They had the leading MVP candidate Baker Mayfield and Seattle's starting QB Sam Darnold on the same team & let both get away, just like Browns & Jets did with one of those guys. Those 3 teams are where QBs go to be comatose, leave & suddenly wake up & thrive. Even when the Bills were bad, they didn't have good QBs come in, dump them & then watch these guys thrive elsewhere. When we dumped a QB, he never came back to haunt us, he was bad wherever he went. These 3 teams get the right guys & stymie them until they leave. The Jets have a horrible history with both young guys & vets. It goes back to Favre who sucked as a Jet & went on to Minnesota where he was great again, Geno who was nothing until Seattle, Darnold who is finally the QB that was envisioned in the 2018 draft, and even this year, dumping Rodgers, who is playing good in Pittsburgh and signing the incredibly bad Justin Fields.

Daboll is safe for the season unless Dart falls off the face of the earth. He's 2-1 with Dart & if the Giants play around .500 with Dart, Daboll & Schoen will probably get extensions.

Rooting won't do any good with this bad a Jets team. Just give Denver the win & move on. The good news/bad news for Jets fans is they have a soft schedule with possible wins vs Carolina, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Miami, & New Orleans. Just enough to give them enough wins to mess up their draft choice & if we have everything locked in we can tank the finale with scrubs & further hurt the Jets draft spot.

119 out of 390 left. I lost 1 of my 2 picks last week with Arizona choking. Philadelphia on Thursday night to roll the Giants.

McDaniel on very thin ice with Dolphins owner
Albany,n.y. replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he hires Rex, Ross will win the off-season. I can see the headline now: Dolphins hire Blowhard Rex Ryan as the latest Miami hurricane. -
For all you McDermott haters, who would you want? (Now a poll)

Survivor Pool Week 5......who ya got???
Albany,n.y. replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Biggest choke job of the season cost me one of my 2 games. So many bad things for 1 team. I was screaming at the TV when Arizona is up by 2 & on 3rd & 8 runs the ball instead of sending in a play to try to ice the game with a 1st down. Arizona is the face of playing not to lose & losing. They choked both a TD (fumble at the goal line) and choked an interception that ended in a Ten. TD after the clown who intercepted fumbled the ball. There's a thread about coaches getting fired-I nominate Arizona's Jonathan Gannon. -
Is the first head coach firing upcoming?

The Giants are going to be patient with their rookie QB & Daboll through the season. They'll evaluate the situation when the season is over. -
Buffalo News no longer printing a Monday paper

My next-door neighbor does. They only get the Sunday paper, mainly for the coupons. -
Saints WR Rashid Shaheed......possible trade deadline move??

I think you should stick to your day job. Edit: Sorry. I think the person who wrote the article should get a real job. -
Buffalo News no longer printing a Monday paper
Albany,n.y. replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Nobody is making anyone read the paper on a phone. I have 2 newspaper digital subscriptions & I read them on a 19" computer screen in PDF format. I can't believe how many people watch things on little phone screens when there are much better alternatives. I tried watching a Bills game on a phone once with NFL+ & it was ridiculous. I dropped the trial right after the game. -
...and that's why Dallas would not even listen to any trade offers. I can't wait until the trade deadline so all these pie in the sky trades that people come up with stop.

Survivor Pool Week 5......who ya got???
Albany,n.y. replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
We lost 17 people tonight. Our pool is down to 215 from 390. -
So you think a player on IR should play? Complaining that the #1 pick hasn't played after getting injured is right up there with the worst posts. Complain about Jackson if you want, but pointing out that our 1st round pick, who is on IR hasn't played is ridiculous.

SI Article on Trades That Should Happen (a few Bills ones)
Albany,n.y. replied to RyanC883's topic in The Stadium Wall
My thoughts are these guys at SI have nothing better to do than write nonsense speculative trades to justify a paycheck. I could have a monkey with darts propose trades with the same accuracy...ZERO. -
Survivor Pool Week 5......who ya got???
Albany,n.y. replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
During the season, I never go against a rookie making his 1st start, since the vet he's replacing usually has been playing poorly. 2 examples are from the NYG. Jones & Dart each won their 1st start replacing Eli & Russ. I have used a rookie to lose on opening day, since the vet playing poorly & losing his job doesn't apply. In fact, I usually pick against a rookie QB in his 1st start if he is named the opening day starter. Two years ago I thought Richardson was going to bust in Indy and bet against them opening day. I got very lucky because Minshew came in and almost beat me.
