I think this is good news for MM. Because he was heavily criticized for bad play calling. If TC was making the calls it takes MM off the hook and out of the doghouse in my opinion.

I agree that TD did try to fix the lines. But he was fired for trying to fix the lines with inferior talent. He is and was a bad talent evaluator. Every squirrel finds a nut now and then. We need squirrels (GM's) that find nuts (Good players) more than they come up short.

I wouldn't expect anything less from you AD. Long hours do not equal high quality. Just like your post count, very high in quantity but very low in quality.

Marv isn't supposed to work 15 hour days. The OC and DC are supposed to work 15 hours a day game planning. The HC approves or adds input to the game plan. The GM shouldn't even be involved in the game planning. If he is it signals that we have the wrong OC, DC and HC. Then the GM should fire the coaches and hire people to do the job correctly. Marv should be putting 7 or 8 hour days at the most.

I dont think Marv will be a teacher to MM. But a mentor and sounding board if MM seeks it out. I think Marv's main roll is to set the priorties for drafts and too monitor the locker room atmosphere to see if MM is effective and has lost the team. If MM has lost the team or is in-effective Marv will pull the plug and hire a more effective HC.

Something most of the posters around here lack. Add class to that list as well.
