6 month old daughter sick for first time
Fan in San Diego replied to HelloNewman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
definately one of those snot suckers is a good thing. Two kids, many colds later. Any meds the pediatrician will let you give her is a blessing as well. Otherwise patience and time is the only cure. Good luck. -
Cool now I can get NFL games and Howard Stern once in a while.

Norv Turner the new Chargers HC

Wow ! What a bad hire for HC. I love Ted Cotrell for DC though ! Ron Rivera would have been a better choice for HC. -
Possibly losing 4 defensive starters
Fan in San Diego replied to generaLee83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets review the four we are losing. 1) London. Marv called him out for not being an attacking MLB. Sounds like Marv has a plan to replace London. I expect to be better at this position. 2) TKO. Marv kind of called out TKO as well. Saying we will review if he can coume back to his former self. Saying that he was sub-par last year and probably wont be back. Sounds like he has a plan here as well. I expect an improvment. 3) Kelsay. He was getting pushed around alot last year. I don't remeber him being an impact player. He should be replaceable. 4) Clements - Was lights out last year. But it was a contract year and Nate magically found another gear. Once he gets his check, he will be back to his old tricks of just enough to get by. Nothing spectacular. Give me a hungry rookie and we will have similar production. Summary, Marv has it under control. We will be better next year. -
Plenty of fresh water to drink and dont worry about falling into the ocean.

I'm really sick of the snow as well. It makes my local weather forcasts all icky when they cut away from my high of 78 today and sunny forcast with those nasty pictures of blizzard like conditions in the north east. Bring on the summer. Which brings up the question, when your getting your freezing temps forcast and 20 inches of snow overnight prediction, do they cut away to pictures of San Diego and other warm weather locations to make you feel better ?

Hitting on the novel idea that he could end his wife's incessant nagging by giving her a good scare, Hungarian Jake Fen built an elaborate harness to make it look as if he had hanged himself. When his wife came home and saw him she fainted. Hearing a disturbance a neighbor came over and, finding what she thought were two corpses, seized the opportunity to loot the place. As she was leaving the room, her arms laden, the outraged and suspended Mr. Fen kicked her stoutly in the backside. This so surprised the lady that she dropped dead of a heart attack. Happily, Mr. Fen was acquitted of manslaughter and he and his wife were reconciled.

Mosquitos bug me when they bite me and my dog annoys me when he pees on the floor. -
Not sure about the woman's stability, but I actually like that song, it has a lot of feeling and originality.

A woman was shaking out a rug on the balcony of her 17th floor condominium when a sudden gust of wind blew her over the railing. "Damn, that was stupid," she thought as she fell. "What a way to die." As she passed the 14th floor, a man standing at his railing caught her in his arms. While she looked at him in disbelieving gratitude, he asked, "Do you suck?" "No!" she shrieked, aghast. So, he dropped her. As she passed the 12th floor, another man reached out and caught her. "Do you screw?" he asked. "Of course not!" she exclaimed before she could stop herself. He dropped her, too. The poor woman prayed to God for one more chance. As luck would have it, she was caught a third time, by a man on the eighth floor. "I suck! I screw!" she screamed in panic. "Slut!" he said, and dropped her.

In San Diego county where I do my off roading. Squeeezing between oak trees just isn't a concern. Going on large 1000 foot sand dunes at a 45 to 60 degree angle and I really like the wider wheel base. The Hummer is perfect for my uses. The skid plates along the bottom are great when I skip over rocks going up mountain sides. Usually scrubby brush not to many big trees. There are so many locking / unlocking switches and axle skid contols I'm not even sure what the best use for them is. I have done all of my off roading in the standard street mode.

A young man who was also an avid golfer found himself with a few hours to spare one afternoon. He figured if he hurried and played very fast, he could get in nine holes before he had to head home. Just as he was about to tee off an old gentleman shuffled onto the tee and asked if he could accompany the young man as he was golfing alone. Not being able to say no, he allowed the old gent to join him. To his surprise the old man played fairly quickly. He didn't hit the ball far, but plodded along consistently and didn't waste much time. Finally, they reached the 9th fairway and the young man found himself with a tough shot. There was a large pine tree right in front of his ball - and directly between his ball and the green. After several minutes of debating how to hit the shot the old man finally said, "You know, when I was your age I'd hit the ball right over that tree." With that challenge placed before him, the youngster swung hard, hit the ball up, right smack into the top of the tree trunk and it thudded back on the ground not a foot from where it had originally lay. The old man offered one more comment, "Of course, when I was your age that pine tree was only three feet tall."
