I love the confidence, but we still have to tackle Derrick Henry

I think we've 100% had the right approach with the running back room ever since we let Shady go.
Draft multiple guys with decent skill sets in the middle rounds - complement with vets with specific skill sets as needed
Never overpay or give a second contract to a RB ever again
Lather, rinse, and repeat

The answer is always Tremaine Edmunds
Can he shoot the run gaps?
Can he stay disciplined with cutback lanes?
Will he get sucked in by play-action?

I'm thoroughly enjoying every freaking minute of this great offense that we have.
It was not that long ago that we had to rely on miracles and circumstances just to get to 20 points in a given game, because we sure weren't getting there with talent, QB play, or coaching
I never want to go back

When I see Sorensen out there in coverage, I'm thinking Mark Kelso trying to cover Michael Irvin

I don't get it - Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the league - right?
He stars in all the national commercials
All the commentators gush over him
He never makes a mistake
How could Josh Allen possibly compare?

Head coaches today who won't be head coaches on 1/15/22:
- Urban Meyer
- Matt Nagy
- Brian Flores

They're just taking the next step in getting Justin Fields ready to be our backup QB in 2024

Until the Dolphins get a legitimate first-string NFL QB, they will continue to be our b*tch

I've been thinking all along that 1-1 over the next two games is a reasonably acceptable outcome
2-0 would be amazing though, and would cement our status as favorites for the #1 seed - especially with all of the extremely winnable games left on the schedule

This was a great FA signing for a team on the cusp of a SB run - both in 1989 and 2021
In the case of Sanders, it's critical that we keep reinforcing the strength that is our WR position. Sure, we could have just tried to plug Davis, McKenzie, and others into expanded roles, but I like this plan much better

They fully deserve the misery. We've seen some dysfunctional mis-management of our local teams over the last 60 years, but the disintegration of that organization over the last two years is amazing.

Jacksonville could go 3-14 for the next 10 years and it still won't make me feel better about losing that playoff game to them and their wet fart of a former coach

In an odd way it's one of my favorite top 10 Bills games to watch. Or skim through.
The team didn't play that great that night but still good enough to win. It's a very sort of the run of the mill/average game for the Bills of that era.
It'd be like kind of a video yearbook of an average day in high school/grammar school. Perhaps nothing memorable per say about it but it'd be best at showing what your average day looked like back in the day.
Well said - I remember attending that game while I was at UB. But I sure don't remember anything special about it

This was inevitable once they went to 6 games that weekend. More ratings for an 8 PM Monday night game vs a 1 PM Saturday game
Who gives a crap about competitive disadvantage? Not the NFL

It's difficult to really hate the Jets when they've been largely inept and irrelevant for my entire lifetime (born in 1974)
Yes, their fanbase completely reflects all of the savory stew that is the Tri-State area, but for me, they're just the Patriots minus the actual winning

Always go back to the classic Mike Tyson quote:
"everyone has a game plan until they get punched in the mouth"

We need to be 5-1 in the division at minimum. I get that we want the #1 seed, but the first focus needs to be defending our crown there and securing at least one home playoff game
We're set up to face a lot of young and/or mediocre QB's as well. Probably need to go undefeated in those matchups, then see how things shake out from there

Welp, Tua definitely attacks the defenses like Trent Edwards did

I half-expected him to trot out the old Jauron chestnut:

It will probably take a Super Bowl win for the fan culture to really change. Until the Bills win it all there will always be some doubt that something bad will happen even with the team good again.
That's exactly it - I won't ever be able to even begin to get over my worry until after we've hoisted the trophy

The great teams of the 90's also laid these turdburgers a couple of times per year too, often early on in seasons where they were also probably a little too hyped up and/or overconfident. This week will be a great mental test against a divisional opponent. Hopefully a dose of humility will be the cure that we need along with a more rational game plan from Daboll

It's not far fetched to think about Stefon Diggs as a potential future Hall of Famer
So to think about the trade in those terms, plus the impact he's had on Josh and the entire WR room is truly amazing.
I'll trade the #22 pick for that all day long if it helps give you a legitimate shot at the Lombardi trophy
