  1. All of this is good news for the Bills - you always want the higher seed and the chance to have more home games in later rounds

And it's also true that you shouldn't care who you play in the first round - we need to be the bullies and have the mindset that teams have to come to our house and truly beat us

I also don't discount that the Browns will come in fired up to beat the Bengals and it's good that the Bengals are already mailing it in.  Don't discount the locker room discord that Faker Mayfield has sown and that his teammates will want to put up a good show and be more inspired now that he's gone

  2. I just went through a database posted in another article that referenced all of the games that John Madden announced in his entire career.

Other than the Houston Texans (who he never announced), the Bills were the team he called the least in a career that spanned 576 games

    1. Super Bowl XXVI against Washington in 1992
    2. The above contest Dallas @ Bills in 1996
    3. The massive beatdown we took NE @ Bills on Sunday night in 2007

Yes, he was mostly calling NFC games for the majority of his career, but my god, even the Jaguars and the Bengals got more of his games

  3. The first football game I ever attended was Super Bowl XXI in Pasadena.  I gladly rooted for the underdog Broncos even though they didn't have much going for them besides John Elway.

Dan Reeves was a class act and a reminder of a bygone era of professional, solid, no-nonsense coaches who didn't need sound bites and BS to motivate their teams.

And yet McDermott has taken his team farther than Harbaugh has taken the Ravens..since he took over as HC of the Bills….and beat him in the playoffs last year…..so what are we talking about?

I'll take Harbaugh over McDermott any day of the week, especially for game day coaching.

And it's not really close either

  5. Tremaine Edmunds

Ability to diagnose and fill run lanes, and not make every tackle 7-10 yards downfield

Ability to diagnose and fill the short passing lanes in the middle, as we know Mac Jones will want to hit Meyers and the TE's in those areas

Ability to diagnose all of the misdirection and screen plays, since we can anticipate McDaniels using our aggressive downfield rushes from DE's against us

Mr. Brandon Beane, if he did not hit on Josh Allen, would Beane still have a job his draft picks have been poor case in point he passed on Johathan Taylor or AJ Epenesa who does not play and makes no plays when he is in a game Taylor is leading the NFL in rushing, he passed on DK Metcalf for Cody Ford, what josh could have done with Metcalf and Taylor, let's look at Gregory Rousseau and Boogie Basham two players taken back to back don't see the field let's not justify taking them trust the process look if McDermott did not want to draft Rousseau and Basham he should have said something.  And if Beane did not hit on Josh Allen this franchise would still be hearing you passed on Patrick Mahomes.  How many more first round defensive players is it going to take before you think Lesile Frazier the game has passed him bye?

Beasley and Morse are in the same boat- they are productive but have pricey "last" year contracts pending...thats what the off-season analysis is all about, it wont be an easy decision to part with either, but I can see them both gone for cap savings as I dont see either being extended or taking a paycut...'but who knows

so then the in-house replacements ?   Would Jake K be a good slot guy...would Mongo be a full-time center ?

Dollars to donuts we are drafting a center in the first couple of rounds next year

  8. Having the same defense in place now for the 5th consecutive year is a key component here.  The continuity in defensive coaching and personnel is not to be understated.

Players know where they need to be, and they know where their teammates should also be.  Look at what first year coaches like the almighty Robert Saleh are trying to implement, and also remember how many times we got blown out in 2017 when we were going through the same types of challenges early on
