Darius Leonard holds a grudge against the Bills

And, Jerry Hughes is probably very happy the Colts traded him to the Bills for Kelvin Sheppard! -
Possible Bills off season moves.

And, for pass rushers instead of FA why not just find another Kelvin Sheppard for Jerry Hughes trade—now that was a very sweet move! -
Agree—as another poster noted, they are the top running off. in the league at 177 yds per game at over 6 yds per carry. But it always seems like Andrews makes 3-4 big catches per game so I’d love to see them scheme him out (he’s the anti-Knox!). Then we cross our fingers and hope we actually do have a run defense again and can keep them in 3rd and longs. I’d hate to see this match up. But you have to beat the best if you want to win the Lombardi Trophy, no easy path.

Happy New Year to all!! Let me preface this by (apologizing for the long post) and saying I was SO pumped when we traded up to grab Edmunds, I’m still really pulling for the guy. He’s still young, super athletic and has skills you can’t teach. I’d hate to see him in another uniform playing the way we’d hoped. However, I don’t know if I’m articulating this right, but it’s like he’s a much (and I mean much) higher functioning Knox (in terms of flashes and then flat out broken expectations) at an integral position on our defense. Sometimes he just seems not to “see” the field like the cornerstone to our defense needs to (takes bad angles, misses tackles and the many other weekly mistakes pointed out by others on TBD). Just seems to be missing something that elite LBs have developed after having his amount of snaps. BUT I’m merely a novice and regardless I am really pulling for him, I want him to be “that guy”. LOVE Milano because he’s been such a wonderful surprise being picked where he was (5th rd)—flip side to Edmunds with his expectations and draft profile pedigree. When healthy, Milano is always around the ball, gives his all and is just fun to watch—he’s not perfect for sure but he wasn’t expected to be the player he is and will expect compensation as such). BUT the injuries scare the ***** out of me. Which means investing a lot of $$ in him scares the ***** out of me. Losing him would be like losing Kiko (which turned out well for other reasons beyond his control). Haven’t done my due diligence on the draft and I’m not a college fan (let alone ND)—Rutgers guy 🙈, Jersey Boy, but I’ve read a lot of good things about Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah—“Swiss army knife tag”, versatile, all things or FO likes: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/notre-dame-lb-jeremiah-owusu-koramoah-next-great-hybrid-defender/ Looks like we’d have to make a move to bump up a bit but from what little I’ve read and how he’ll probably perform at the combine but seems like Milano will command $10 million—and a rookie deal for a legit replacement would free up money for Williams at RT and Josh’s protection is much more important to me.

What to do with Dawson Knox
biggerdaddynj replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d LOVE to upgrade at TE but I think you’ve hit the nail on the head—they’re committed to seeing if he fulfills the “raw potential” they told us about when they drafted him and he’s inexpensive. I personally continue to find it maddening to see his dropped passes but then he flashes once or twice a game—is this his ceiling or will his floor rise? Regardless, on his rookie deal he’s merely a $1 million cap hit next year. Look around there’s fat to trim elsewhere (Kroft was a big bust at 3/$18.75–16th highest paid TE, take a look at some other TE salaries for fun: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/average/tight-end/). (Nice to be talking about this after a Pats game!) -

I love watching our team out there having fun and kicking ass. Haven’t seen anything like this from them for about 30s. -

He’s slinging the ball like he did in the Niners’ game. And, I love that he seems to be doing it more. -

If Edmunds is what we thought he would be he should shine against this NE offense. -

How do we keep Daboll around?
biggerdaddynj replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe I’d find that I curse as much at Daboll’s play calling this year as I have in the past (seems like it might as well be Frank Gore out there running those plays sometimes). However, in sharp contrast, I find myself cursing far less and cheering far more at JA’s decision making and throws (that Niner game he was slinging the ball so friggin’ well, to the right targets and in tight spaces). And, it makes me happy to see him throw the ball away instead of trying to make the impossible throw every time. While you’d have to be a fool not to give Daboll a great deal of credit with JA’s development, and I’m not in that camp, there are surely a lot of other factors that also came into play with JA’s development this year (I know it’s a novel idea but perhaps JA himself played a big role). At the end of the day, I’d rather lose Daboll than Josh. And, I have a great deal of confidence that McBeane have seen this day coming for a long time and I’ve learned to trust in their judgment when it comes to rebuilding the Bills’ infrastructure—not just the roster—so I have some optimism that they won’t ***** the bed on this one—it’s far too important of a decision especially taking into account McD’s defensive background, for them to not make the best offensive choice they can. And, Buffalo is a place on the rise—who woulda thunk it??? Best of luck to Daboll. He’s earned his chance. -
Week 15 Bills @ Broncos 2nd Half Gameday Thread

Not trying to jinx us but when do we start pulling players we can’t afford to have injured? Might be a little early but I’d hate to push our luck in a game we’re controlling.
