TNF: Steelers (6-5-1) at Vikings (5-7), 8:20 on FOX, NFLN, and Amazon

If the Vikes blow this, it’s coaching malpractice. What happened to their run game? -
Three of our losses are by a combined 10 points. They are not far off from being where we all want them to be.
-
I also think they have most of the pieces in place. They need a couple big nasty guards and a back with some explosiveness and add reinforcements elsewhere. Hopefully next year Dawkins gets back to a better version of himself. I’m sure Bean did not expect the regression of play on our O line.

My view about why the Bills are not doing good this year
Andy1 replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we fix the offense, I think we win a lot of the games we have lost. O line and RB need improvements. It’s easier to build an effective run attack than a pass attack. Should be doable in the off season. Until then, let’s make a playoff run. -
Josh is still learning. I would say try it in another year or two. He still needs coaching to reign in his desire for the big play, all the time. I don’t think McDermott would go for it at this stage.

Is it time to be concerned about a lack of 4th Q heroics?

Moss appears to seek contact when running. Inexplicable! -
Daboll is so frustrating. He can call fantastic game plans, but many games just look like vanilla play calls. Some creativity was needed tonight and there was none.
-
Knox was poop, and I’m a fan of his. He has to be better. Bad drops. False start killed drive, drops on 3rd downs killed drives. This was the type of game a TE should love. He has progressed this year, but tonight was a step back.
-
If your backs are slow, they better be powerful. If they are small, they better be McCoy like elusive and quick. Ours are neither. Oline needs replacements too.
-
Need to fundamentally rethink how this team is constructed if we can’t win this game in these conditions. Some reconstruction is needed.

Absolutely no creativity on offense. 2 yd runs over and over

Bills Defense Should be Insulted and Pretty PO'd
Andy1 replied to Fried Baloney's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have to prove it on the field over these next few games. Everything else is just talk. What they are will be shown on the field. Hopefully we get to see Bellicheck smashing his headset near the end of the game again. -
SNF: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

So the Browns get to be the 1st team to lose after getting 4 ints from their opponent. That’s Baker for ya. -

I think Baker needs to focus more on his commercials. -

Bakers a bum -
I’ve been thinking about this too and have been wondering to myself, what traits, skills or abilities, or game strategy beyond the obvious - run the ball - are good for football in sloppy, cold, snowy, stormy weather. I’m really not sure. Only universal thing I came up with is big hands on the offensive skill position players to hold onto a slippery ball, a strong armed QB and an offensive line that can block for run and pass. What else is needed?

Breida and Singletary are good compliments. Moss is backup moving forward. McDermott is stubbornly loyal to their draft picks. But also, they didn’t appear to care much about the run game earlier in the year.
-
I’m thrilled with the development we’ve seen from Knox this season. Today he became the TE with the most franchise TDs in a single season. I know a lot of fans have doubted his ability to develop in previous years. Several experts preached patience with him and it appears they were right. He has two TDs tonight and it should have been three. He is obviously a weapon that Josh has a lot of confidence in. When he catches the ball on the edges, he becomes a real problem for dbs to tackle. He is the most dynamic TE I think I’ve ever seen on the Bills. Looking forward to seeing him for many seasons to come.

Bills at Saints 11/25/21 Second Half Thread
Andy1 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s about the 1st time I’ve seen a screen work for this team! -
Yes I’m speculating. I hope it’s something else. The book on this season is only half written. The end has yet to be written. This team has a hill to climb to achieve their goals. Hopefully it has a happy ending.

Should be Jerry Hughes.
-
I should also add that McBean have built a team for passing and for defending the pass. Under the right conditions, it’s a powerhouse. But maybe that needs some rethinking after this year.
-
We have all seen teams worse than our Bills overcome 24-7 deficits with a half a game still to play. They seem to be missing inner mental strength to overcome difficulties. Maybe they got spoiled on a soft schedule. Maybe coaches aren’t adjusting enough. Maybe they just think Josh will pull a rabbit out of a hat to win. They were missing key players yesterday but good teams find a way to overcome obstacles. Whatever it is, they better figure it out soon.
