  1. Looking for the tackle after he throws an int is instinctually how Allen reacts when he makes a mistake. It’s what I have seen him do on every interception that he threw in college. When I watched his college tape, that was one of the things that stood out to me. It’s the competitive drive burning inside of him which is one thing I love about the guy.
  2. Do Pats fans really want a creaky 44 yr old qb playing for them? I don’t think I’d feel great about that if I were them.
  3. If you don’t want to take the time to listen to the podcast, Schofield said he is pleasantly surprised by the development that JA has shown this year. Allen has shown the ability to throw with more touch than his college film showed. He is more certain than before that JA will be able to develop to reach his full potential.
  4. It was strange watching him today. He looked like he was playing without his usual fire and emotion. Maybe he has realized that this is the last year for him.
  5. 100% correct. Seemed like every time I looked up to see the tv someone was making a play I have not seen any of our receivers make this year. Oh, except for one - when Benji let the ball go through his hands in the end zone.
  6. Another crazy catch by a receiver for Seattle. Bills receivers don’t make that play.
  7. It is a stupid title for their little clip. It could just as easily been titled “Allen’s rookie year of learning is almost over”. It is also presumptive that the lack of talent on offense will be fixed in the timeline that they decide.
  8. Brady looked like an old man out there. I think Father Time is making a move on him.
  9. Zay doesn’t even run towards the ball in the end zone. next play yay Zay for TD. Garbage time points...
  10. Refs workin hard for Belichick today. Block in the back by kicking team?
  11. Wait... tv guys just said it should have been 3rd and short - no TD on last play. WTF
  12. I like the comparison of Mayfield to Steve Young. I don't see Elway in him though. I think a better comparison is Allen to Elway. I think their approaches to the position are quite similar.
  13. JA averaged over 15 yds per completion today. That is huge! Probably tops in the league this week.
  14. Andre Reed & Eric Moulds. A number one is a dominant player who the qb trusts to make a play. Size is a plus but not required. Their productivity makes success for the QB and team. They come through in clutch situations, even when the pass is not perfect. I thought Sammy would be that player, but that was a fail. Bills have not had one since Moulds.
  15. I forgot about that play since it wasn’t a completion. You are right though. It was a real smart play for a rookie to make. Another good sign that he may have what it takes to be good.
  16. I doubt that this horrible int gets much media coverage compared to Allen’s. It was about 4x as bad though. Could have been a pick 6...
  17. Correct - not counting throw always, For under 20 yds from line of scrimmage, Allen had 16 completions, 1 incompletion and 1 int. For 20 yds or more from los, he had 8 incompletions, 2 completions and 1 int. While the over 20 completion % isn’t great, he is throwing them and forcing the defense to respect that part of his game although it hurts his comp % stats. The number of pass attempts over 20 yds from los is the most of any qb. The only other qb close to that number of attempts is Mahomes.
  18. His last year at Wyoming it was a wreck, just like the Bills line. I actually think that his poor O-line play in college helped just to life in the NFL. Dealing with chaos in the pocket and scrambling is nothing new for him. I was amazed by his escapability in college but didn’t expect it to translate that easily to the NFL. The thing is, the kid is such a big horse with great balance and nimbleness that he can make d linemen miss and when he decides to run, he is faster than anyone thinks.
  19. Before draft, I wanted Darnold first and Allen second. Now I’ll choose Allen over Darnold. Still too early to predict long term outcomes though.
  20. NFL website article on this has a video clip of him making a one handed catch for the Bills. What a joke.... False advertisement.
  21. Amazing they listened to Hughes. Repeat offender deserved what he got. Hopefully this is the end of it with no discrimination by other officials against Hughes.
  22. I have no idea how he is going to turn out but I think the future is very bright for him. He most reminds me of a young Elway. I remember being amazed at the velocity he threw with and with his running ability too. He could beat you either way. I never paid attention to young Favre so cant comment on him. Any comparisons to Kelly need to take into consideration that Bills fans never saw Jim as a rookie. He had already made his rookie mistakes in the USFL for 2 years.
