What remains of the Trump/Foxconn boondoggle in Wisconsin
Andy1 replied to WideNine's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I believe that’s what America calls capitalism. Government giveaways to the wealthy has been happening here since the beginning of the country. At least the Chips act is to get domestic manufacturing and jobs for an industry critical for national security. -

Ok, so should I be concerned? Any big company has shareholders owned by someone. I don’t get your point. -

Micron is going to be huge in Syracuse and wouldn’t have happened without Biden’s Chips act. As far as complaining about giving away money, just research how much the government has given to the fossil fuel industry or agriculture. Computer chips are just as important in today’s world. Otherwise we will continue to depend on Taiwan who face an uncertain future given the threat from China. -
So Trumps attorney today introduced the topic of whether or not Trump was an “orange turd” 💩 as Stormy mentioned in a message, responding after someone called her a “human toilet”. This is where Trumps choices in life has lead him. To this court room, listening to himself being referred to by his own attorney as the Orange Turd. Some nicknames you just can’t forget.

Thats amazing stuff there. Some guys are just born with a double dose of athleticism and that’s him. It really shows his elite body control, on the ground or in the air and eye hand coordination. I really really hope he can develop into a great receiver for the Bills. He has the potential of providing fans A+ entertainment value on and off the field.

Keon looks like the type of receiver who can function in crappy weather that may impact pass accuracy. He’s also physical enough so hopefully he can play through contact in the post season when the refs swallow their whistles and don’t call PI on grabby defenders - like what KC usually does. His one-handed catches seem so casual.

A common demand of these students is for their university to divest from any financial ties to Israel. Why do students think they have the authority to demand how a university chooses to invest? If they are morally distraught and don’t like the financial profile of their university, they are free to choose a different school. It’s important to remember, the protesters are a small fraction of the students enrolled at these universities. At minimum, they should suspend them all, give them incompletes for their courses. The worst offenders should be expelled and make them reapply if they want to continue to attend. There are many ways to express one’s opinion on the war without violating university policies. Columbia needs to bring in the NYPD and prosecute them.

This is a good thread but I’m breaking the rule and choosing not to trade down from 32. I’d take Legette at 32. I just think he has more tools than Coleman. That also means their 5th round choice might not have been the same but I’d live with that. In 3 years, someone needs to resurrect this thread to see who’s right.

After some time to reflect. I like the Coleman pick. When Josh is scrambling and he chucks it, Coleman has the catch radius to get it. He definitely plays faster than his 40 time. Comparing him to X Worthy, he has proven attributes for long term success. There have been other successful players with his profile. At 165 lbs, Worthy is an outlier with not many similar body builds who have had long term careers. Having said that, he will probably burn us for a TD, then get injured the following week. I’m still curious why they didn’t choose Legitt. Maybe it was the age difference - 20 vs 23 for Legitt.

This guy ain’t helping us score 35 vs the Chiefs. He will just be part of the rotation.

Live 2024 NFL Draft thread - Round 1 (Do NOT tip the Bills pick)

Will any defensive players get picked in Round 1? -
Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
Andy1 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Get me a WR who can perform at his best in playoff conditions in Buffalo. I’m not sure if Worthy is that guy. Pure speed doesn’t work on the snow. -
It seems that most of these protests are at expensive private universities. Seems like lots of wealthy entitled kids who spend their free time staring at tik tok videos instead of actually learning or working a job. In 5 years they will probably be wanting student loan relief, but that’s another discussion.

While I generally support the rights for peaceful protests, these idiot college students supporting Hamas seem to be misguided. I doubt any of them would want to live under Hamas rule or in Israel under threat from Hamas. Demanding a cease fire for a war in Israelis is a bit sideways. Why would Netanyahu pay attention to demands from college students or university presidents? If they have energy for a cause, they should be organizing for humanitarian aide for starving children in Somalia or Bangladesh.
-
Ok Israel is stupid and just asking for war now. This is not good. Netanyahu is an idiot and is planning on us to fight for them.

Just like cults require financial sacrifices from their member to stay in good standing, Trumps requires the same from other Republicans starting Monday. Where other Presidents lead their parties for free, Trump charges for it. Republicans better watch out because Donnie will know if you’ve been good or bad. He should make it a required 50% donation as he knows they would be nothing without him. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is asking down-ballot Republican candidates to send along 5% of their donation hauls to the 45th president if they choose to use his “name, image and likeness” in their solicitations. A Monday letter to GOP digital vendors signed by top Trump advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita called for “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC [Joint Fundraising Committee]” starting the following day. “This includes but is not limited to sending to the house file, prospecting vendors, and advertising,” adds the letter from Wiles and LaCivita, first reported by Politico. “Any split that is higher than 5% will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations,” https://nypost.com/2024/04/17/us-news/trump-campaign-looks-to-cash-in-on-candidates-using-his-image-asks-for-5-of-donations/

He is nothing. Just picture fat ass Trump getting out of the shower. His long stringy hair hanging down below his ears. Then he tries to comb it all into an honeybun. Fussing over each strand before he sprays it all down with fixative. Next comes the makeup. He needs to decide which shade of orange each day. Each week his beautician dyes his hair. He spends hours in front of the mirror each day perfecting his look that is all fake. What a self-absorbed weirdo.

Just give me Legette at spot 28 and I’ll be happy. He is a physical athletic freak but a late bloomer at his position. Similar to Josh in that way. He reminds me a lot of Eric Moulds.
