You talkin to me Gramps? The Biden approach and Trumps are polar opposites. There is a wide spectrum of enforcement options between them. Like most Americans, I want a secure border. Like most Americans, I want some pathway to citizenship. Like most Americans, I view immigrants as positive to America. Like most Americans, I don’t want masked goons snatching people off the street. Like most Americans, I believe legal immigration should be easier. Republicans have always said that they could not discuss fixing the immigration system until the border is controlled. Well, now is the time, but obviously they were lying before and are just anti immigrant, unless they are whites. If they were smart, they could own the issue/victory and propose something Dems would be forced to vote for, but I don’t see that happening.

One would think that it would require approval through Congress. I guess a king needs his palace, nearly twice as large as the White House. Hopefully whoever comes after Orange will take a wrecking ball to it.

Interesting contrast between the two parties protests. Dems are riding bikes naked in Portland, in other places wearing goofy outfits, costumes, dancing, singing, etc. Republicans wear leather jackets, carry their assault weapons, bring their nooses, bats, hockey sticks or other clubs and wear their paramilitary gear.

Amazing how there is talent like Tez Johnson to be found in the 7th round of the draft. Good on him to show his stuff.

It’s stupid either way. Call me a traditionalist but I’d rather not have each president remodel the White House at their whims. It’s a historic building that belongs to we the people. Not the temporary servants who reside there.

Last year the defense feasted on turnovers. This year so far, not so much. 2024, in 17 games they had 16 interceptions, 18 forced fumbles and 16 fumbles recovered. That’s 1.88 turnovers per game. This year they have 8 forced fumbles, 3 recovered and 2 interceptions in 6 games. That’s 0.8 turnovers per game. Just one small data piece reflecting the less effective defense this year.

Still too early to judge 2025. If Hairston develops well, it will be a success.
