It seems pretty likely that Iran, Russia, China, etc are well informed given the relaxed approach to information security the clown team has.

I’m seeing a lot of Trump officials saying that “no classified information was discussed.” That’s a technical talk around because there is a specific process for the classification of government information. The information being discussed had not been classified … yet. Surely it is sensitive enough to be classified, otherwise, they could just release the text discussions. Information about targets, attack plans, CIA agents, etc. is always classified.

Beyond the obvious stupidity of it all is why are they communicating on Signal? Is it because the messages are automatically erased after a specified time period? Are they avoiding standard channels of government communication to avoid the preservation of records legal requirements? Is it deep state paranoia as they discuss other illegal actions? What other policy discussions are happening on that unauthorized platform? It’s usually never the first time when someone is caught.

We all know MAGA world would demand the resignation of Hegseth. Fox would be screaming about it for months nonstop.

Corruption is a big issue in both countries. Corruption does not justify invasion. Regardless, Russia has been destroying cities, towns and villages, slaughtering civilians and kidnapping children of another nation. Most Americans support Ukraine. Trump meanwhile will never ever say a cross word about his master Putin. As the leader of the free world, that is ridiculous.

Yes Russia helped us defeat the Nazis. That doesn’t mean they are our ally. Do you think WWII vets, if alive, would support communist Russia? My bet is they would back Ukraine and be wondering what the hell is wrong with Trump. Are a supporter of aligning our foreign policy goals with Russia?

Trumps actions in office are a dream scenario for Putin. He couldn’t expect anything better as Trump turns America towards an alliance with Russia over our traditional western allies. What is amazing to watch is how the rest of the Republicans along with MAGA have become obedient sheep and seem just fine with abandoning our NATO allies and other democracies in the world. The vets from WWII, who are nearly all gone must be rolling in their graves. It’s to the point now where he is either an agent for Putin or he is doing a very good job of acting like one who is.

So this story is going to come down to who you believe. The cult will obviously believe the honesty of their master. Any person with a brain that hasn’t been melted will be at least skeptical of Trump. Unelected Musk is moving into the role of President. In the end, the billionaire class is not concerned about what is good or right for America. These are the people Trump has surrounded himself with. If things go to hell here, they can move to and choose to live wherever they want to. Their alliances are where their financial interests are. Musk isn’t even a natural American so why would anyone trust him?

Critical thinking is not expected or allowed when you are in the cult. The Orange Idiot tells lies to explain his controversial decisions - like other countries are paying the cost of the tariffs. Like Mexico will pay for the wall. Like immigrants are criminals and evil. The cult eats them up and repeats them because they sound so good and it solves all the problems of learning for themselves.

The “substantial revenues” really means substantial taxes on American businesses and consumers.

In any economy you can pick out an indicator that isn’t good. The idiot above referencing commercial real estate being down is an example of this. Of course it’s down. A chunk of the country now works at home and everyone is shopping on the internet. By most standard measures, Trump inherited a very good economy which he is now in the process of destroying.
