This is a really good question given how this word is used in today’s politics. At its simplest, Patriot means one who loves their country. Then we need to examine what the word love means. It’s easy to love when no sacrifice is required. Those who sacrifice working for America in the military or in other capacities, representing America in foreign lands would certainly qualify. Politicians who serve with honor and loyalty to the Constitution, working for the betterment of all Americans, would qualify. Those whose actions put the welfare of their fellow citizens and our nation above their own self interest would qualify. Actions matter more than words.

For those saying “this is what we voted for…”

This move restricts access of nursing students to Federal financial aide, forcing them to go to private loans with higher interest rates. America has a critical shortage of nurses. Trump just made it more difficult for young people to achieve their goals in this field. The billionairs will benefit while the rest of us will suffer with poorer health care. https://www.nurse.com/blog/nursing-no-longer-classified-as-a-professional-degree-whats-at-stake/ -
For the MAGA doubters here, or those interested, here is the Senate Congressional Resolution 76: from the pre-woke year of 1987. This resolution recognizes the contributions the Iroquois Confederacy to the founding of our nation. Read document pages 12-16. Iroquois chiefs were in Philadelphia, speaking to congress during the Revolution, and in May to June, 1776. https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CHRG-100shrg83712/pdf/CHRG-100shrg83712.pdf

I’m a few hours into this series. Seems well done and gives a much greater understanding of the events of the time. It’s interesting how the events impacted both the Native Americans and African slaves. About 5000 free slaves fought with the continental army. In Virginia, many slaves ran away to British boats as they were given the promise of freedom by the Brits. The British used the men for an Ethiopian regiment. The Declaration of Independence was embraced by those who weren’t truly free as they hoped for a better future. Hard to see how any of this is objectionable to anyone.

I also noticed that during the game. Houston beat the crap out of us, but they weren’t dirty plays. I have total respect for that team. McDermott and Brady are who needs to see this. That offensive scheme was stupid under those conditions.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Agree. Under Dorsey and Brady, both offenses became stagnant when defenses figured them out. You need a second act that works off your established concepts. Talent is also an issue. When talent is lacking, scheme and execution becomes more important. -
I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield
Andy1 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given that he has to work with what we have for now, first priority for Brady as the OC should be to protect the franchise - Josh. Against a defense like Houston or Cleveland, do that first and then go from there. That can be extra blockers, quick passes, moving the pocket, misdirection, leaking the TE as a target, or running the ball more. Brady failed miserably at that and Josh was beat up. If Josh gets knocked out with an injury due to his stupidity, like we watched in Houston, the season and maybe more is done. -
Cover One has a new video out with some interesting points. Basically the organizational problem is everyone from coordinators on up. Last night, Brady committed organizational malpractice by not adequately protecting the franchise - Josh, when it was plainly obvious to everyone that our 5 linemen could not block their 4 rushers. Brady refused to adapt and bring in an extra lineman or chip the D ends to help the line. And stupidly, they left Brown out there with a bad shoulder with no help. The receiver routes did not provide Josh with quick options. If Josh had a season ending injury, from that stupidity, this season and maybe next season would be over. Furthermore, McDermott was seemingly fine with the approach. They show no ability to adapt and learn from past failures. Clean house unless the unimaginable happens.

Commie Mamdani To Meet Orange Hitler At White House
Andy1 replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Mamdani is going to require that each child to learn Arabic numbers. Step one in indoctrination. -
The offense scored just 12 points. I’d say it’s Brady and Bean. The offense has no quick game answers except the WR screen that rarely works. I remember thinking the same last year when KC knocked us out. That’s a combination of player talent and scheme issues.

A Few Thoughts about the Texans Game - Community Edition
Andy1 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not a fan of this defense, but they did give the offense plenty of chances in the 2nd half against a bad Houston offense. The offense could never control the line of scrimmage. Brady couldn’t scheme anything besides the big toss back play. Coaching scheme is such an important part but we always seem to lack in that department. -

Blame for the loss should really be more on the offense tonight. They failed big tonight in all aspects. -

Time to hire an offensive coach to pair with Josh for the rest of his career. If McDermotts specialty is defense and your defense is poo, it’s time to go. -

Has there been a single penalty against Houston? Doesn’t seem like it. -
Because there is likely a huge difference in wealth between the victims and the guilty. The wealthy can use lawsuits to silence the victims since they don’t want to go bankrupt with legal fees. They may also not want their names publicized. The young girls may likely also not have known who the men were.

Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....
Andy1 replied to Kelly to Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that might be the last time that teams ignore him. Will be interesting to see what he can do vs Houston tonight. -
Coleman will need to learn from Shavers how to earn playing time. He needs a lesson in humility and learn discipline. He also needs to learn how to play WR. People can mature and change. He has great teammates around him. He might just grow up and become a better player but he better start showing it in practice.

Great interview of Shavers. So easy to root for. Him and Josh have the same prove them wrong mentality. He also talks about his friendship with Keon.
