  1. B E A T I N G A D E A D H O R S E Are you and The Senator having a beer over this?
  2. It is pretty obvious to me that CJ Spiller will be one of the most dynamic RB's in the league for the next few seasons (injury aside) and he will be an intricate part of this offense. Now the need for a #2 or #1a RB is still there to go with Spiller because he is not a 25-30 carry RB, but the Bills have a luxury at this point. Granted, Marshawn has 2 strikes against him (clipping the Canadian woman and the gun issue) but I have to believe he knows that was it for him. Marshawn is 24 and when in shape and motivated, is still a top RB in the NFL, and will get even better as the OL improves. I like Fred Jackson, do not get me wrong here. But Fred is 29 and has some wheels left that I am sure a contending team that needs depth at QB or another 1a type RB. Get a pick for Jackson this year, keep Marshawn and Spiller and form perhaps the best 1-2 RB punch in the NFL. And if Marshawn gets Strike 3, RB's are generally easier to find in the draft or FA. Thoughts?
  3. Or if there is anything anti Jason Peters you are like a kid in a candy store?
  4. Congrats Lew!!!
  5. Yes, its not like the Saints spent a lot of $ on a QB or anything
  6. Your varsity jacket that you sent to the cleaners this week is now ready.
  7. I'm a St. John's alum....and I was wondering what the Native Americans thought of us changing the nickname to the Red Storm from Redmen...is Redmen equally as offensive?
  8. Is it online for free too? Or just snippets of the game?
  9. I agree...that $40.00 off is a nice deal. considering NHL 11 isnt that far away anyways.
  10. Sorry if already posted: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2009-08-...-football_N.htm The New York offering is a test for the program that will kick off nationally next year. Customers here will pay $349 to watch any Sunday game on broadband during the regular season. But it will be available just to people who can't receive the satellite signals. That makes New York an ideal market. DirecTV has few customers here because skyscrapers block signals coming from satellites orbiting the equator. Also, many landlords and co-op boards don't allow residents to get a satellite service. To see the games, broadband customers will download a special video player and punch in a code. Users can install the software on multiple computers, but only one will be able to stream the games at any particular time.
  11. Jordan's supporting case is WAY better then what Lebron had...again based on the 1994 point, the Cavs really shouldn't be THAT much worse this year then with Lebron...I mean if this was all Jordan, would the Bulls still have won 55 that year? Chicago >>> Cleveland. No offense Cleveland, we are talking markets here. Where else could Jordan have went to have a better situation at the time?
  12. Jordan did not have to be a sellout...he played in a top NBA market in Chicago...like Kobe does....like Bird and Magic did...you don't think that matters, you are fooling yourself. Think Jordan would have been happy in Milwaukee? Memphis? Kobe is a sellout, he wanted out the 2nd he was drafted by Charlotte...but he is loyal, I forgot... Remember the 1994 Bulls after Jordan left? Oh yeah they won 55 games, and a Hue Hollins bad call away from another trip to the Eastern Conference Finals....93 Bulls won 57. Bulls were better then people think...am I suggesting that Jordan isn't the greatest player ever? No...but do NOT underrate the talent he had around him...and oh yeah, some guy named Phil Jackson...he is a decent coach. Think the Cavs still win 64 games without Lebron this year?
  13. Maybe that is how he wants to be remembered. Maybe James is tired of being the focal point, why is that such a bad thing is that is what he wants deep down inside?
  14. People who wonder how Kobe Bryant would have handled this have short memories. He strung everyone along before his opt-out summer of 2004, just as LeBron did. He had the Bulls, Knicks and Clippers come meet him, just as LeBron had teams meet him. (Although at least Kobe's pursuers got to go to Newport Beach instead of Cleveland). Two years later, Kobe changed his number, just as LeBron will next year. So it's a mistake to say Kobe wouldn't have done it the way LeBron did it. He has. He also went on radio to demand a trade, then appeared on another show to retreat from that position, then charged forward again in a different radio appearance. That was followed by the secretly taped parking-lot conversation in which he took swipes at teammate Andrew Bynum and Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak. Kobe didn't use technology; technology used him. He might have been victimized even more by the Internet this year when skillful Photoshop users got hold of his Los Angeles Times Magazine photo spread and reimagined him as everything from E.T. to Willy Wonka. But instead of taking to Twitter to defend himself, Kobe went back to the court and took it out on opposing players. Could it be a coincidence that after the pictures appeared May 2 he scored at least 30 points in 10 of his next 11 games? Or that he became more guarded in his media dealings, doling out increasingly minimal answers as the Lakers went deeper into the playoffs? Don't flatter yourself about Kobe. Gasol was given to the Lakers for FREE. Give that to Lebron in Cleveland, and let's see what happens.
  15. He is only a jerk if he does not sign with your team. End of story.
