If Pominville is ever to be moved it better be for a big time impact player for this season. I will say this about the Sabres: If this team does not make a couple of moves now, I'm afraid this season will be a disappointment in the end. The time is NOW: We do not know if the Sabres will be able to keep Drury/Briere. The Sabres will probably lose Biron and a couple of other pieces. Also, if you take a look at how Pittsburgh is going, the entire Eastern Conference is going to be in big trouble, and soon. Get it done Darcy. You do not have to sell the future to get the pieces in place for a Cup this year.

Heard some rumors about Gary Roberts coming to Buffalo... Here is a wild thought I would not mind seeing the Sabres pull off (if they can): Ed Belfour and Gary Roberts For Martin Biron You might say 'Belfour, are you nuts?"...Eddie is a vet and if needed in the playoffs...he would be a guy that could keep the Sabres afloat.

I would love to see the Buffalo Bills pick Dwayne Jarrett. I know the Bills need help on defense, we all know that...but it is not like the offense was tearing things up either. Losman / McGahee / Running Back 1A / Evans / Jarrett would give the Bills a better offensive balance. Teams will have to now respect the Bills passing attack, which would then create better machups for WM, and vice versa. Look at the Saints last year. Their defense the year before was PUTRID. What did the Saints do? Bush, signed Brees...and filled the defensive holes with good, solid moves on the defensive side of the ball (Hollis Thomas, Simoneau, etc) and it worked for them. Why can't the Bills do the same? I'd rather get some vets on the defensive side of the ball now and draft playmakers on offense.

Here is how I reason the Bills signing NC or not... Forget the cap limit...the key is if the Bills are very willing to get close to their cap number...then I say sign Nate and then make other upgrades. If the Bills are in a budget and do not expect to get near the cap number for arguments sake let's say Ralph want sto only get to $20 million under the cap...then let NC walk, draft another CB and use that NC money to upgrade the OL, DL, another WR and/or a LB.
