  1. Circle Of Trust DT Height: 6'4 Weight: Think Ted Washington, but getting trimmer by the week 40: 4.8 days? bench (reps at 225): 19 broad jump: maybe an inch or two vertical leap: 3" enough to get to the fridge cone/shuttle: wait, I can take a shuttle to practice?!?! PROS: Large enough to clog the middle so the LB's can roam free and make plays, agile enough to get around OL's to get to the QB. Brute strength. At 35, a savvy veteran who has suffered enough as a Bills fan to be very motivated to succeed. Plus, with my name, I will bring a smile to the 'powers that be' at One Bills Drive. CONS: Age and durability will be a factor, name has changed three times might be an issue in that will he be dedicated to the team, plus Roger Goodell might not like that so much for jersey sales. SUMMARY: A team first guy, who always has the Inner Circle close to his heart. Will play for the league minimum, which is music to Ralph's ears at his tender age of 90 as money is the primary objective for the Buffalo Bills. PROJECTION: A situational NT/DT who will be out of the game on 3rd downs. A company first man that Russ yearns for.
  2. Funny how so many people call Madden a moron...as he was the highest paid announcer in the NFL....must be doing something right
  3. I think Madden was great for the NFL for a number of reasons: You might not like his broadcasting style, but his voice was football, when you heard it, you knew it was the NFL season. He kept things simple, and you know what, for novice NFL fans, casual fans, or fans that are just starting to like the NFL, those announcers are needed in a sport, most fans are not like us who are on NFL message boards almost daily throughout the year.
  4. Bills play 4 out of 5 games on the road in the middle of the season, and a bye week sandwiched in between, that is a key stretch
  5. The way the world is going, we will all be speaking Chinese in 2059.
  6. NFL fans will stop at nothing to justify its actions will they? Sad.
  7. Between Whitner's arrest, Marshawn's troubles, James Hardy turning a gun on his own father for crying out loud, and signing a guy like Owens (nothing like the other 3 but just a 3 ring circus of media attention he brings) ....it really is getting bad around here. The things that we made fun of Miami and Cincy for over the years....we are now one of those teams. And oh, NFL fans that act holier then thou about this sport, you have WELL surpassed the NBA, a league that a lot of you shun upon because of 'thugs' as the league with the worst thugs, and it is not even CLOSE.
  8. Yes. We need picks. We need to get rid of top notch LT's and do not pay them. We need picks so we can get validating from the draft experts to make us feel all 'warm and fuzzy' aside.
  9. Agreed, and good post Kelly
  10. I cannot provide you an name of a forward that the Sabres can get, but Vanek, Connolly, Roy, Pominville etc to me are very skilled...but to me I would like to see 1 player on offense that is a leader and can put it all together...someone who has been through the wars of the playoffs...someone all the players can look to for leadership...you now, someone like Drury (oh and in their biggest game last night, he DID score 2 goals, but I'm sure some here will still kill Drury just to make themselves feel better, but I digress) This team needs size and toughness...and I hate to say it, the fact that Darcy craves skill players who are under 5'9....to me he is one of the biggest issues. Regier made some great moves over his tenure (Gratton for Briere most notably) but I truly believed this at the time and believe it now: Regier was 'LUCKY' that the rules changed which fit his style of building a team and we flourished for over a year and a half, and at the end ofg the President's Trophy season, you started to see the Sabres struggle more and you knew the clock was going to strike 12 on Regier. Now that 'luck' has fizzled out, and we are left with a team treading water and hoping for the future...yet again. Remove Regier, extend Lindy, and change the philosophy. You can say this is about money, but this is a league with a cap. It is not like the Sabres can spend $20 million more, they need to spend it wiser.
  11. Go to the Palms if you are young, single, and looking for an overabundance of hot women
  12. Malcolm Jenkins. The truth hurts sometimes
  13. I know I know...Edwards COULD be good...and I do not even know if the Bills were ever considering making a move like this but wow..to me if the Bills gave up Edwards and 2 #1's (and our #1 is higher then Chicago) I would be dancing in the streets...Cutler HAS proven it, Id rather take the know entity... I hope Edwards proves us all wrong (and I think he can) and he takes his game to the next level...
