  1. Agreed. We had a perfectly capable game manager in Tryhard. I liked watching Allen the back half of last year more than now. Yes yes I understand he's 'making better decisions' or whatever the current excuse making track is, the cold hard reality is nobody (meaning other teams D coordinators) is worried about him in this offense. The worst he can do to you is run for a first down, but he's not going to attempt any throw more than 10 yards, which is exactly what we all got so frustrated about with Tryhard
  2. I think we should run an all TE offense, and to be extra clever let Kroft take a snap with Allen lined up at TE5. Very clearly compacted offenses with tons of TEs is the O of the future or maybe, and bear with me on this, put both guys in and maybe run a screen or pass to a RB in the flat. I realize it's a radical departure from our current approach, but now that the forward pass is a legal play, it really opens up the possibilities
  3. I'd put him in a box...outside the stadium with no comms inside
  4. It's just a grind to watch. Everyone in the stadium knows exactly what the bills are going to do on every single play, and everybody knows they don't have the personnel to force the issue. I had a bad feeling on the Bills first drive of the game. Off tackle run for 2. Off tackle run for 2. Short pass attempt, punt.
  5. Agreed. Do we have a feature back? I guess not. I love watching Gore run, not sure why we don't keep pounding him? Singletary has looked good at moments but isn't getting the 'dirty' yards. I guess add RB to the list of needs for the offseason. It's a good thing we have some cap space!
  6. There's too much gimmick in both the O & D I must have yelled it 5 times today "he's in the wrong g-d gap again!" while my wife and son roll their eyes. still true though
  7. It's hard to tell how serious you're being, but yeah I think the Bills need to draft another QB, after they get a legit DT and MLB that can stop the run. Allen may or may not develop, but one way or another he's lucky to not have his head taken off again
  8. Worse yet, now the rest of our opponents have a really simple roadmap: run the ball up the middle against the charmin soft middle of our D. I hate it because it makes for an unwatchable game. Opponents will hold the ball for 40 minutes, rush for 200+ yards, and the D will be completely winded by halftime. I'm pretty disappointed in Allen too. We got all the crappy play we've come to expect over the first 3 quarters, with none of the heroball of the 4th.
  9. This really is the issue. On casual observation, it seemed like every drive, Edmunds got caught in the wrong gap (or willingly charged into the wrong gap) several times. Like he single handedly kept several drives alive for Philly. I hope he gets a game ball from them, along with Dabol
  10. Like I said in another thread, the middle of the Bills D is as soft as tissue paper. Peterson will have a field day and look like 10 years ago AP
  11. Is terrible. This is several weeks in a row now where they've gotten gashed in the middle of the line. Edmunds is consistently out of position or gets blown off the play. What a disappointment. Would he be better outside and get a more traditional run stopping linebacker in the middle? Also, where the heck was Star all day? They need help if they're going to contend for anything because Miami and Philly gave every remaining opponent a very simple plan on how to beat the 2019 Bills, and it's run up the middle until your RBs puke.
  12. brandon beane isn't spending a lot of time in the locker room
  13. Would you say he has that elusive combination of charisma and poise? been a long time since we had one of those guys
  14. It certainly looks like the sniffed their own farts in the offseason and really like what they smelled
  15. There was a rash of stories a few years ago about her screaming at him to get on his hands and knees and scrub the floor and that sort of thing, even though they have a domestic staff. It's funny because I just looked for it on google and couldnt find it. Apparently his reality distortion powers extend beyond the football field.
  16. Yeah that's some drive by journalism right there. It's also what happens when blogging has devalued journalism, even in sports reporting.
  17. everything is about consent these days
  18. I think all of us stung by the last 20 years of impotent teams are doing the same. I did everything I could not to panic after that first drive
  19. Last year the Bills struggled against power running games. Saquon will be a good test of progress on that front
  20. It's true, but somehow this thread has drives that home. The Jets fans are pretty douschy, but somehow not as unrealistic about their team as the Giants fans. I'd hate to think that we come across this way to fans of other teams that come here for a giggle before their games against Buffalo but all of a sudden I'm very self conscious.
  21. Eli is going to turn into Tom Brady for 3 magical hours oh wait, no he won't, we'll be seeing davy jones or daniel crocket or whatever his name is by halftime when Eli has to leave to be on time for his AARP discount at Dennys
  22. It's been so long since I had any confidence in the Bills O, at halftime I said to my son, that's it, let's go throw the ball in the yard or maybe go hiking. To his credit, he had faith, and was right
