  1. We laugh because otherwise we'd cry. If McD/Brady could never ever ever pass the ball again and get to 9-8 or 8-9 they would be perfectly happy with that. And before some homer gets mad, do you think this looks like an offense that has put any thought whatsoever into the passing game? They don't draft for it, they don't gameplan around it, and it would appear they dont even practice it.
  2. We shall always be the bridesmaid, never the bride, for receivers that can outrun coverage or otherwise get open
  3. i think this is it. The epitaph on the Josh Allen era in buffalo will be "Well they didn't win a superbowl, but those guys were PROCESS and HIGH CHARACTER all the way through"
  4. Crazy and also bad to watch. These guys have outsmarted themselves.
  5. Why even have Allen on a 70s style offensive scheme? No wonder he's checked out.
  6. I'd like to see him be more assertive across the board. Let's see a little fire from him when wr drops a ball or when Torrance misses 9 blocks like he did Monday. Like I said yesterday, Kelly held everyone on O to account, it was one of the factors that made them great
  7. I swear mcd and Brady are doing their best to ruin Allen. It's hard to see it otherwise. As a thought exercise, if Brady and McD/Beane had been given a billion dollars by some shadowy group with the promise they would ruin Allen, what exactly would they have done differently in the last 3 years?
  8. I actually thought about this last night, and had a memory of one time after Kelly got sacked bc house ballard missed a block, right after on the sideline, Kelly had Ballard by his facemask pulling his face down and was screaming at him. He didnt miss another block all year, if memory serves! In any case, I wouldnt mind seeing Allen hold other players to account more often.
  9. Some fans and apparently the team itself are content to get into the playoffs and win a game or two but no more. Before I get carried away and talk about the playoffs though I'd like to see the bills beat a .500 team. Just one and we can declare we're great again
  10. We're always missing a lot of guys. The roster is too thin to be missing a lot of guys every game. Next man up is not a philosophy that's going to work here
  11. It'll be an epic struggle the last 3rd of the season to capture the last wild card spot. The team will give it their all and be completely shot by the playoffs.
  12. You can't handwaive away the injuries though. Every team has to deal with them. We seem to get more than our share, which I attribute mostly to our GM's compulsion to find the slightest built players at any given position, except WR, which he seems to prefer power forwards with hands of stone.
  13. I love that this post came from forum username 'low positive' almost like we've been here before But yeah, for real, players are going to be a million miles away physically and mentally. Surely McD will still be putting in time at OBD practicing his clapping though, so we have that going for us
  14. You know Beane would never take a WR that high. Think of all the tiny & fragile CBs and DL that will still be there at 18
  15. Maybin would beat him like a redheaded stepchild in a 40 yard dash
  16. The Bills roster is objectively worse than it's been at any time in the last 6 years. Beane's penchant of drafting undersized injury prone players, and avoiding getting weapons for Allen is yielding the inevitable fruit.
  17. I can't give you names but we know what it'll look like. Offense: Decent OL 1 good RB, a couple JAGs scrap heap WRs. Everyone eats! 2 decent tight ends Defense a bunch of 1st and 2nd round DL that are slightly below middle of the pack in terms of outcomes undersized but athletic LBs CBs that play 10 yards off the WR, safeties safely away from plays
  18. We're not going to get peak allen under Brady's scheme and McD's gameday coaching. The entire pLaY cOmPlEmEnTaRy fOoTbAlL philosophy increasingly feels like an excuse rather than a plan. At any rate, we got complimentary football last night, and Allen was basically a bystander.
  19. Bryce Young can pick apart a defense if given any time. We'll see if Babich can make any kind of adjustments to consistently get pressure. Maybe our PED guys can help
  20. I think it'll be a must win for the Bills so hopefully they'll succeed despite coaching
  21. So, here's who we have left. I'm interested in the collective's thoughts around which of these games we'll win. @Carolina - Manhandled Atlanta a few weeks back. Not a good team but seemingly unpredictable. Really no idea on this one. Coming off the bye I have to believe it's a W KC - KC is coming on and we're fading, or that will be the narrative. KC hasn't beat us in a while in regular season but getting some guys back as we're losing more. Calling this an L. Even if the rosters were more or less equal there's a yawning chasm between the capabilities of the coaching staffs. As organizations ultimately reflect their leadership, this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. @Miami - this is the acid test. If we can't win this time to tank for whatever undersized high motor DL that Beane covets most. Call it a W Tampa - Tampa playing solid ball now. Mayfield finally delivering on his promise. This is an L @Houston - No idea here. They seem to have some of the same problems the bills do, and we havent been good against them. L @Pittsburgh - Again, a team that gives us fits. Rogers will likely feast on our bend then break defense. Cutesy playcalling against the D will go nowhere L Cincinnati - should be a W. They're just in a tough place though we have exactly nobody to cover those WRs. @New England - right now this is a L strait up, but hoping we see a regression to the mean between now and then. Hope is our best strategy! @Cleveland - pretty sure they're running for the busses by this point and we'll be in dire straits needing a W to try to get a wild card spot. Maybe we'll be playing against the legendary Shedeur? Philadelphia - unless the eagles have the top spot locked up and are starting their scrubs, I dont see a win here. Or why not, Allen decides to don the cape and goes all world. W New York Jets - we'll need a win to get a wildcard. Jets are hapless. W Does 10-7 get us a wild card? Not sure it matters because we simply don't have the horses to make noise in January.
