  1. This. Tre will be back but no telling if he's going to be the same guy, and if we're going to get past KC we need to figure out how to cover their WRs/TE. Of course, Beane will draft the best DL available first 2 rounds. Maybe we can get a speedy CB in FA whose flaws can be mitigated by our Safeties
  2. I still don't know why they had such a swoon mid season there, i mean i'm familiar with the litany of excuses, but to me it falls on coaching. I don't think Dogballs and Frazier have what it takes to win big games. I don't think they're going to all of a sudden develop the killer instinct required to do so. The worst case scenario is to waste JA's best years on figuring that out as an organization.
  3. Because the coaches are such good sports, they counterbalanced that with time tested platitudes such as "keep your back to the ball", "take the wrong angle if possible", and "don't tackle anyone"
  4. You nailed it. I can't figure out if it's the personnel on D, or the scheme. It's like they're coached to play meek. In any case, there's no Bruce and no Thurman on this team
  5. I'm not proposing FOurnette as an every down back. He's a bruiser who does his best work in short yardage situations. He's less fluid than Singletary but stronger. He's like OJ Anderson - gets 3 yards if you need 1 or 5
  6. draft the best pass covering MLB & CB we can get, edmunds can stay for 5th year but unless he gets dramatically better, no reason to keep him He played last night like he had cement boots on. His greatest attribute is picking the wrong gap. It's like when you go to the grocery store. my super power is consistently picking the slowest line
  7. Agreed. Singletary came on late in teh season but I still feel like the need a Fournette type that can get you 3 yards when you need it. We also need an OC that doesn't take the middle part of the game to practice his contrarian playcalling. We have a generational talent at QB and a legit receiving corps, so what does he do? In the biggest game for this group? Let's get cute and call a bunch of runs against a DL that was living in our backfield.
  8. If only. Look at what Von Miller did in the game Saturday against the Bucs. The Bills DL, despite the massive investment in picks and money, scares nobody. Starting from scratch i'm not sure who you keep besides Oliver? In any case, shed some of the deadweight, lobby Mack to come home!
  9. Going to do a spicy tikka masalla and homemade naan. Since tomorrow is a school day only drinking will be celebration champagne
  10. SOME ARE ASKING...is this what BB was doing in the Bills locker room?
  11. You hate to see it!
  12. agreed. When the wheels come off there it’s gonna happen all at once
  13. ah, yakkety sax, I do love the classics
  14. logan is the one where he’s a limo driver and captain Picard is losing his mind right? Yeah that sucked
  15. if a movie isn’t entertaining, or at least thought provoking, then it’s not good. The list of X-men movies from best to worst: 1. All the other ones . . … . 99. Logan
  16. The Education of LittleMac
  17. Any given Sunday and all that but probably not. Steeler's best hope is to keep it close and hope for a game changing play later in the game, like let's say, a blocked punt? Plus Watt is an X factor. If Mahomes gets knocked around early and starts hearing footsteps, you never know having said that, KC wins this running away i expect
  18. Now do MacDorkle
  19. Haack obv had a bad game last week, but can't completely discount conditions. If Farwell is being strait with us, the calculation is, does Haack's holding ability outweigh his lack of punting ability? His punting hasn't been terrible and I'm not sure it's made a difference at any point this year. I think we're more likely to see a game decided by a field goal rather than punting?
  20. The soft racism of low expectations is, at the end of the day, still racism
  21. As an aside, speaking of predictive value, if Florio says Thing, the smart money is on Opposite of Thing
  22. "The 40 yard dash measures strait line speed over 40 yards. It doesn't measure much else" "The 225lb bench press measures how many times a player can lift 225lbs. It doesn't measure much else" I guess if we don't think these individual metrics matter, then what's the point of the combine, or even scouting? Ability to read, quickly assimilate information, and understand abstraction are all critical functions of a modern football player. A much more believable argument against the wonderlic is that the test itself doesn't measure anything relevant to football. If you're arguing that a player's intelligence has no bearing on their football skillset, then go on and make that argument. The notion that it's not fair to hold a poor education against a player is odd. I'm not aware of any other human endeavor where we make excuses like this. Oh, you want to be a Civil Engineer but cant read or do calculus? We we certainly don't want to hold that against you! Go on, build that bridge!
  23. An advanced degree in stats would help you do an actual multivariate analysis to determine the strength of the correlation between Wonderlic scores and football contribution. I think somebody has drawn a conclusion here, but i doubt has done the analysis
