Right, the SEC, home of the famous cupcake schedule. By that metric i am curious what would be a difficult schedule in the original poster's opinion -

Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson

Lazy hot takes by the TV clownshow seem to amount to...mac jones cant be good because he played on a good team. Now I have this crazy idea, maybe Mac Jones made Devonta & Jaylen better, as much as the other way around. The Clowns couldn't fall over themselves fast enough to declare Tua Tagoviola the next coming, and Mac Jones wrecked all of Tua's single season records with much the same team. One might argue that Tua had better surrounding talent at Alabama. -

Mac Jones was the one guy i didnt want going to the Patriots. Time will tell I guess but whatever he's lacking in athleticism he makes up for in accuracy and good decision making. Sound like anyone we know? He has some big shoes to fill but my hot take is that he'll probably be considered the #2 QB from this draft in 5 years -

Urban just can’t quit Tebow! (Update - Cut by Jags)

Because he was a man among boys in college. Seriously go watch some highlights. Someone's always going to think they can translate that into the NFL, despite all evidence. I do want to see him play TE though -

Bad Luck With Clemson High Draft Picks
dorquemada replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure of the dynamic but I do feel like the guys from the biggest programs (Alabama/OSU/ND/Clemson/LSU) tend to get overdrafted because of the success of their programs. Maybe because they get worked like rented mules while they're in school, maybe more than in lesser programs? Maybe not. Having said that, the draft really is a crapshoot. If i wasnt so lazy, i'd do some work in SAS or SPSS and figure out if there's any statistical correlation between draft position and success. My gut tells me that if there is a correlation, it's not real strong edit: ok maybe im not so lazy. some undergrad did a paper https://fisherpub.sjfc.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1064&context=sport_undergrad here's the conclusion, though it seems to be focused on offensive skill positions, i wouldn't be surprised if it applied teamwide: Conclusion Acknowledging that the sample for this research did not include every quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, the data may not accurately represent the NFL as a whole. However, the findings display evidence that individual offensive skill players that were drafted in the third through seventh round of the NFL draft do in fact have more successful careers than the individual skill players that were drafted in the first and second round. More specifically, this data illustrates that 60% of the third through seventh round running back and wide receiver sample have been more successful on the field than 40% of the same first and second round sample. With this information, NFL franchise front offices can re-evaluate their draft day selections and perhaps take more risks that could likely pay off in the future. -

To his point, the Bills just had the best season in a very very long time with a Defense that was only OK, and a phenomenal Offense. a few extra first downs in either of the KC games, we might have been in it at the end. Drafting the 5th best EDGE probably doesn't change that dynamic, maybe if we got a Safety or CB that could cover Kelce that might make a difference, but those guys are thin on the ground, especially at 30 -

I watched every game he played in college. Never goes down on first hit, is fast enough, decent hands, and runs through people on a regular basis. When he's not doing that he's hurdling them. Some crazy stat about how many of his runs resulted in a 1st down, often times on a 1st down. Did you watch him at all? -

if there's one thing we can take to the bank, it's what a NFL GM says about his intentions in the weeks leading up to the draft. You can set your clock to it, in fact -

I trust Beane on this. My gut says they need a dynamic playmaker more than anything, and because of the rest of the offseason moves have the room for a bit of a luxury pick. I like Moss & Singletary but neither of them are game breakers, and neither one is keeping DCs up at night. Etienne & Harris are. -
Call your shot: Who will the Bills pick in the 1st round?

Either the highest motor lunchpail DE, or darkhorse D3 CB prospect left on the board -

So i may have missed the discussion around this, but did we really part ways with bojo because of the shank against the chiefs? Or was there some other reason?
