This thread will get locked, and this post will get deleted, but the reality for the NFL, and the rest of our civilization, is that if we sit on our hands and demand that everything grind to a halt until we have some number of months with no new cases, we'll never get there. Like every single other viral epidemic in history, we will eventually learn to live with COVID. The arrogance of Government and an unfortunate number of citizens is that there is some magic bullet to get on the other side of COVID. There isn't. As I asked yesterday (in a post that some tweaked out mod deleted almost immediately), if the NFL starts forcing forfeits, are they going to refund tickets? Are they going to pay back DTV for that portion of what they paid for broadcast rights? Are advertisers going to get their money back?

Apple might get Sunday Ticket
dorquemada replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a great point. I'm familiar with the inner workings at AT&T and it seems to me that there's not a lot of stomach for pouring money into a losing scheme any more. DTV is bleeding subscribers, and while I think the DTV streaming only offer is a pretty good option for people who want packages of channels, there just isn't enough back end on it to continue to subsidize the NFL in the hope that you'll add enough subs to make up for it. Either Apple or Amazon are going to way overpay for the sunday games, which means all of us will be expected to overpay as well, or that those business will subsidize the NFL. Apple is the one ecosystem in which i'm not really participating, and not terribly eager to enter in to. Not to mention that my big sports TV is out of HDMI ports lol. At some point, each of us has a number in mind above which we're going to find alternate ways of viewing the games, or just find something else to do. For me, i think approaching $50 a game makes me lose interest, or at a minimum find alternatives. In any case, it'll be interesting. The NFL has managed to defy gravity against most other forms of televised sports, the next few years will be something to watch -
Strangest Bills Jersey You Own

Yes, human beings need to be brainwashed to enjoy beer. Also, up is down, and day is night -
Yeah if Brady couldn't find a way to use him, then good luck wherever he ends up

Wendy’s has the absolute worst French fries
dorquemada replied to Brennan Huff's topic in Off the Wall
Its true, they're absolute garbage, which is a shame because their spicy chicken sandwich is legit. I mean how hard is it to turn the fryer up a little and make your fries crispy? Anyway, they're building a Wendys right up the road, so i'll have a lot to complain about coming soon -
Hard Knox: Dawson Knox Watch
dorquemada replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. There was a few times later in the season when you could see, in the split second the ball was in the air, that he had total concentration and wasn't going to drop the pass for love or money. That TD against Baltimore (?) he wrapped his whole body around the ball while in the air and went down like a sack of concrete, but held on -
Serious (ok lol not serious) question Would splashing out and adding Ertz & Mack be the smart move? I'm not nuts about mortgaging the future by trading picks or making a mess of the cap unless the pieces you're adding can make a substantial and immediate difference. Im a huge Mack fan, fairly indifferent to Ertz, but don't feel like even together they're going to make the sort of difference their cost would justify

Getting a new grill— thinking about a Kamado
dorquemada replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
I havent had any issue with the seal yet, i just took a look and it looks fine. Like Sherpa says, there's a ton of aftermarket choices when it comes time to replace it. I use the hell out of mine though, and so far so good -
Getting a new grill— thinking about a Kamado
dorquemada replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
So this is one of my favorite topic upon which to pontificate Gas Grills - get a Weber, full stop. I bought a Weber Genesis Silver B right before my daughter's 2nd birthday party. She graduated from UB last weekend. Other than replacing the burners (like $30 at home depot) and the flash bars or whatever they call them, a couple times. All in probably about $100 in maintenance over those 20 years. They have newer models like the Genesis II that seem to be more or less the same with some additional bells and whistles. My family's favorite thing I make on here is pizza, right on the grate. Dont use a stone, roll it out, throw it on, work fast Smoker - Vision Kamado Pro-S (https://visiongrills.com/kamado-grill-models/professional-s-series/) I got this a couple years ago and couldnt be happier. I got mine at Home Depot, and it came with the accessories kit which is nice. I make ribs & butts regularly, and sometimes wings and burgers. It took some practice, but once i dialed in, the meat is remarkable. I can't recommend this highly enough. I usually prep the smoker hte night before so all i have to do it start it in the AM and throw the meat on. The accessory kit comes with an electric starting element that makes things easier. glad to answer any questions on this! -
Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson

The first thing that comes to mind with Nate Peterman is good decision making, said nobody ever -
I expect you know what I mean Glamorous would be a star RB or WR or even TE, maybe a stud 1 Tech, or anyone who would be day 1 starters.

It's a thing I guess? It really was the most boring draft I can remember, and i've been watching them a very long time. The Bills picks weren't glamorous, but this is really the first time in a long time that they could really go BPA. It reminds me a little of 1991 when the Bills took Henry Jones & Phil Hansen, and a bunch of JAGs. They had a great roster already, and I remember thinking, what are either of these guys going to do?

Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson

Jones played on a team full of superstars for arguably the best college coach in history, and is going to play for a perennial champion coached by arguably the greatest coach in NFL history. I think he'll probably be ok, and I fully expect Cam will be a good teammate
