  1. The longer he goes not playing, the less valuable he becomes. The youth movement appears to be underway in earnest now in NE, so i wouldn't be surprised to see him traded. Someone gonna get fleeced by the hoody
  2. There's no MVPs in his future, but a boat anchor of a contract for NE. His shtick is aging out quickly
  3. yeah if we're making madden style trades why bother with Ertz, let's shoot for the stars. while we're at it i think we should cut Taiwan Jones and sign Derrick Henry
  4. Watching the game Saturday, several of those runs up the middle, Edmunds absolutely shot the wrong gap.
  5. a cynical person might think that was done to set up post-NFL career, which was stunningly successful
  6. "Sorry Josh, if i pull my shorts up like that, there gonna be trouble"
  7. there was a ton of backlash in 2010 over this. Road Rage Radio was nonstop for weeks about it. we weren't yet in the twitterverse for instant outrage generation though, and the MSM was at least ostensibly focused still on hard news. you might say it was a different age
  8. SI has barely been about actual sports in a long long time. Keep that in mind when they briefly revisit sports. This article was probably some summer intern's capstone project with someone else's name on it
  9. yay! my parents are coming out from Buffalo this weekend. i'm having a family cookout saturday so that will be the perfect lead in
  10. I'm on the fence here but will probably wait until there's a lot more superchargers. Friends of ours have some EV (Chevy one I think?) and they had gone to see family in Syracuse (they live in Rotterdam). The fast charger was broken at the rest stop so they had to use a slow one, and ended up camping out for 6 hours at a rest stop to get the last 50 miles home. Until they solve for that, i think I'll stick with ICE because I tend to do a lot of regional driving around and don't want to be held hostage
  11. I can think of 60 million reasons why he should retire a Bill
  12. Whataburger is more fast food than 5 guys but there's some similarity. More jalapenos is what im saying
  13. Ha, I wish Allen would bring WhatABurger to Buffalo too. Whenever we're visiting the wife's fam in Alabama we always go there. They make a jalepeno burger that's better than any fast food burger you can get in Upstate NY
  14. ah, even the elderly can play. We've played with my folks who are in their late 80s and they really enjoyed it
  15. We started our kids on Catan when the older was 9 and the younger was 5. There's a couple things you can do to simplify the rules, but they got it quick. They're 22 and 17 now and we still play!
  16. Agreed. I never felt like he was all in here, and really not in NE either. Obviously a tremendously talented player but seems like there's some other place he'd rather be
  17. If josh Allen gave every bills fan a billion dollar he could still afford to build a dome stadium downtown with enough parking to tailgate for everyone in New York am I mathing right? We will never know!
  18. Depending on where they put it downtown, it seems (from passive observation coming downtown for high level business meetings, i dont live there any more)like they could bulldoze some eyesores and create some dedicated tailgating parking lots. There might not be enough room to recreate the entire OP atmosphere, but like i said earlier, if the stadium was downtown, and people in North Buffalo/Town of Tonawanda could take the subway down, there would be a lot fewer people doing tailgating anyways. Or, they would be doing it in the UB North lot then drunkenly taking the subway to the game
  19. Years back, when the subway was originally envisioned, they were going to build a spur out to Tonawanda. If that existed (lol) a downtown stadium would be great. Short of that, parking is bad enough for a Sabres game, not sure where you put everyone
