Our long Cody Ford National Nightmare is over.
dorquemada replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, we probably don't. Get real. If we had spent our top draft pick on a receiver, you think we would turn around and spend our next #1 also on a receiver? Do you think we'll trade our next year's number 1 for a DE? I sure am glad you're not GM'ing the Bills -
What is Wrong with Steve Belichick?

There is a 100% chance that Bill and any descendants are somewhere on the Spectrum. Under normal circumstances, making fun of them should be off limits. But then again, Patriots -

Like someone else said, if we draft DK instead of Ford, we don't trade for Diggs in all likelihood. Only a moron would rather have DK than Diggs -

dont do meth, kids first, you'll make dumb faces on national tv after that you'll get that haircut -
Yeah I think the simple version of what you are saying is, the Bills are making average to good teams look terrible. Houston is terrible, but Washington and Miami have looked much better in their other games

Yeah I get it. I'm partial to 80s rock & alt, but still have a ton of vinyl too. my daughter has a turntable and likes the aesthetic of records, but listens to them from that perspective rather than a desire to hear Led Zeppelin II again. Her spotify playlist is a bunch of bands (?) i've never heard of. Most of it is OK though, just not what we're used to. There is a guy from Buffalo named Grabbitz who is getting some play on alt radio. a pretty fun video too, give it a minute

There's not much 'traditional' rock and roll coming out any more. There's some pretty good rock/hip hop mashups out there, but the music we liked in the 80s is as dead as Tawny Kitaen When the classic rock bands finish up dying out, im not sure what follows. As the classic rock fans age out, it'll be interesting to see how much of that music survives in the popular conscious, say, 30 years from now On a related note, I get a chuckle when I drive back to Buffalo and put 97 rock on and they're playing the exact same music that they were the day i left in 1988

Daboll wouldn't have Allen in NE. I think Mac Jones will be a decent QB over time but it would be a real test for Daboll to take over a middling roster. Decent D, lacking top end talent on O. Given that Allen is still at the front end of his career, Daboll would be betting that he could put a team and plan in place to get past the Bills. Thats going to be a tall order

At that point if you continued thinking it was the coach, not the QB, i guess you can be excused for the rest of your bad and wrong opinions -

I'll say that if Allen was still playing at a high level but McBeane utterly mishandled the inevitable transition to the next QB, and Allen went to another team, and immediately won a SB for them while the Bills fell back into shadow? You better bet that we would be every bit as petulant as these pats fans. Remember WADE MUST GO? I dont even remember why we were mad? because the homerun throwback? hell at least that was a playoff game, something we wouldnt sniff for some time after if you recall -
Also though, to be fair, what percentage of QBs at any given moment are considered 'good' versus JAG? 20%? Running with that number, that means there are about 6 QBs considered good in a given year. Even if it's 10, the Law of Numbers tells us that the chance that in any given year that an Alabama (or Clemson, Notre Dame, whomever) QB will be in that top tier is pretty low. There are about 130 D1 teams, each has a QB. It really is a crapshoot who is going to be great and who will be JAG or worse. We got real lucky this time after whiffing for 30 years. I will say that when I hear the pundits call someone "the most NFL ready QB of the draft" i assume low ceiling loser like other josh Out of Tua, Hurts, and Jones, i expect 2 of them will be backups within a couple years and maybe one of them will be a middling QB

Tua is too slightly built to be a long term player in the NFL. I'm saying that as a huge fan of both him and Bama. My Brother in law is a huge Miami fan, and also a Bama fan, and was on cloud 9 when Tua went to the phins. He's going to go from one injury to the next and be out of the league in a couple years Hurts is more substantially built but probably not as skilled as Tua. Jones has the best shot at becoming a decent QB. Its not fair to have him throwing 50 times a game at this stage but we'll have a good sense of him by end of this season

GMFB is the modern inheritor of the old ESPN morning show, highlights and fun commentary. ESPN is in the business of lecturing us now- 98 replies

Usually Monday morning i'll watch some highlights but as a whole, ESPN is pretty unwatchable now, as is reflected in their ratings -
I'm sure there's a lot of other factors but yeah, that's exactly how it looks to me On that play he chased Heineke out of bounds he looked positively quick. There's some value in a guy who can both clog the middle and also chase an athletic QB out of bounds

I’ve been thrilled with him the last 2 games

Oh hey a post from 8 years ago. cool! in all seriousness, if Gordon takes targets away from living, breathing players, then it's a positive for us

Like the ancient saying goes, it's a shame we can't just play Miami every week -
I hate the Jets with unbridled passion

Yeah most of my coworkers live in the tri-state area. I can definitively say that there is a class gradient between Jets fans and Giants fans. -
Warren Moon on Josh Allen
dorquemada replied to Chief Loves Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if daboll decided on that, there would be 3 4th string special teams players running in long slow arcs behind the LoS, with Diggs and Beas blocking in front
