  1. The book on Allen is now obvious, pressure with 4 against an anemic Bills OL, drop 7 into coverage. The Bills dont have a run game to counter, and outside of Diggs, no real receiving threat that forces a scheme change or required double coverage. The Bills get some big plays and may even jump out into a lead but can't sustain it by running down the clock. It's the big play O On the reverse side, the Browns have a great running game, and the Bills have yet to show the ability to contain that. The game plan seems pretty simple to me, if I'm the Browns.
  2. 4 games in a row now. If Green Bay wasn't a dumpster fire things might be even worse
  3. Maybe they put him on the cover of the Media Guide next year
  4. We have an all-pro injury roster that counts for something, right? conversation with grandkids 20 years from now: "Grandpa, where were you when the Bills had the best Injured Reserve in the whole NFL?"
  5. Great work as always Virgil. The above is a good point. As much as I hate to say it, one of those bad people over on Chiefs Planet pointed out that our victory over the Chiefs was bound to be the highlight of our season. Is it possible that the Bills were so focused on that game that they're just fading out now? If so that's 100% on coaching. In any case, the Bills went from being the talk of the league right back to the NFL middle class. They'll probably slip into the playoffs but they're not scaring anyone any more and will live or die with how Allen plays, which is not a formula for sustained success.
  6. It's becoming a theme with them, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Does any NFL team fear the Bills now? I'd think the opposite at this point, playing the Bills is a get well game for other teams.
  7. Yup. Maybe strait up worst OL in the league. Is Dawkins supposed to be good? All i've seen of him the last 3 games or so is being an example of how not to play OL
  8. Morse & Allen failing on the most fundamental aspect of football really is a hell of a thing.
  9. Browns can bring pressure on D and they can run the ball, both kryptonite to this team Bills better figure out a plan, maybe even tailor the game plan to emphasize strengths and minimize weaknesses. An entirely radical concept, I know. If the Bills lose to the Browns, with this much on the line, that's season and we can get back to what we do best, arguing about the draft
  10. Yeah really who would want to last a whole minute? What am I, superman?
  11. No you arent I'm betting my last $5000 dollars on the vikings. dont tell my wife am i doing this right?
  12. Excuse me sir but this is neither the time nor the place for sober reflection and analysis
  13. It's not a good thing at all. If Josh is out Sunday, we're going to see what we have with the rest of the team. I'm not all that confident in the Bills minus Josh are anything better than 7-9 or 8-8 type team. Can't run or stop the run. No weapons on O outside of Diggs. Coaching that seems to be fighting the last war every week. Incredibly inconsistent and weak play out of the DL excepting Von Miller
  14. This is the crux of it - The Bills are a much scarier team when everyone is kicking in. When Allen is in super man/sugar high mode, that means he's trying to do it himself. Give me B- Josh and A rest of team and we dont lose another game. Give me A+ Josh and C- everyone else and we'll win some exciting games but miss the playoffs. Give me C- Josh and D- rest of team (as per Jets game) and we dont win another game
  15. Yup. And teams will look forward to playing the Bills. It's a get well game when you can control the ball for 40 minutes and run own the D's throat all game long. Even with our supposed elite O, one turnover and we're toast
  16. There was something off about the team yesterday for sure. With maybe 6 minutes left, they showed Diggs on the sideline and he had a 1000 yard stare. He's probably the hardest working guy on the team, and the last one I'd expect to give up, especially with that much time left, but he did look like a guy looking forward to the game being over and getting out of there. You'll never get everyone on the same page at the same time, but yesterday kind of felt that way, only in a negative sense
  17. a very promising trend line!
  18. WE NEED TO SPEND MORE HIGH ROUND DRAFT PICKS ON DL!!!!11!!!
  19. 0-2 in the division and a collapsing run D isn't going to get it done
  20. I get it that he's not the best technique guy, or even all that disciplined, but he absolutely has to be accounted for, and when he turns it on it doesnt seem that anyone can stop him. It's a toss of the dice every play with him in there but it's not hard to imagine a scenario where he turns in a game changing play
  21. Agreed that it was an odd technique but was also a big boy play. It was asserting physical dominance. I'd prefer he tackled in the more traditional fashion but part of me really enjoys watching him be the biggest strongest guy on the field
  22. it does feel like they let off the gas in the 2nd half but it never felt like the game was in danger. It was an odd feeling 2nd half for sure, my daughter called it a 'low energy game'. I'd like to see better focus next week, and expect we will. Dillon is the exact kind of RB that had given them fits though, so not too much of a surprise.
  23. Just lol. Who do you bench to play Tissue Paper Watkins?
  24. Agreed. Disrupt his timing, hopefully enough to let Von cause Kermit some happy feet
