  1. That D was so dominant. Basically the opposite philosophy of the current Bend but Dont Break But Then Break version we employ today not too many 3rd and 19s converted against that team!
  2. Wherein Edmunds goes to play for Emperor Palpatine and becomes The Greatest MLB Who Ever Lived or, conversely, generally sucks but has 2 All Pro games a year
  3. Right. Is he any better than the rest of the AARP crew we have at WR?
  4. Agree with this. It feels...half hearted, yet overblown, compared with CBS
  5. Defense matters in as much as you can make critical stops at critical times. KC spends a whole lot less on D than we do, but have an opportunistic D that seems to show up big in the biggest moments. Our D on the other hand is statistically smothering but finds a way to show up small when the chips are down. That hurts when you look at what we could have had loaded up on our Offense in the last several drafts instead of grabbing a bunch of JAGs for some dumb rotational DL that cant get to the QB or stop opponents on 3rd and forever
  6. The point is with the rule changes to protect QBs and let WRs get away with murder, even the 85 bears would have gotten 38 dropped on them last night. The only chance is to be ultra efficient on O. Marginal additional investment in D will not pay off.
  7. maybe if he has elevator cleats
  8. He's 39 years old but still has something in the tank
  9. cause he gassed, come on man
  10. just keep your left elbow bent when you're golfing, voila, no problem!
  11. not very sporting of them! Very unprocess like
  12. Did the bills even put a glove on burrow last week? Is KCs D that much better?
  13. It figures Jane Fonda is a Brady fan
  14. This is also true. What is his hit? $10m? You probably keep him and maybe draft a big body in the later rounds
  15. Right, there's no such thing as a moral victory
  16. yeah, but it was snowing you can't just expect our DL to be able to perform in that
  17. I dont know. At times, Oliver moved with violence and had to be accounted for, but it feels like that was at best a few plays a game, and the rest of the time he was getting blown up or a RB was blasting past him. He seems too small to play on the IDL
  18. I mean, he's terrible and all, but the success he has had was with Rogers so
  19. And never under any circumstances use someone larger than 200lbs
  20. If the only play the O is capable of running is "everyone run deep!" then yeah i guess stop spending draft/trade capital on RBs. The O scheme that my friends and I used to run playing pick up football when we were 9 years old had more wrinkles than what we've seen the last few games
  21. Paraphrasing the line about Communism; The Scheme Cannot Fail, It Can Only Be Failed
  22. Beane is far too much of a gentleman to do something as unseemly as gaming the cap. Very unprocess like!
  23. Agreed. We're never going to know what Allen is capable of until they fix the OL. Can you imagine Brady playing behind this hot garbage?
  24. you gotta go to a lot of years of journalism school to come up with those kinds of trenchant observations
  25. OTOH, the pats have a solid OL, good running game, and a serviceable QB who may have regressed this year at least in part because of the lack of an OC. Adding a good WR could open things up there. Adding a WR is a lot easier than fixing a whole OL, which is what the Bills are faced with
