dorquemada replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obligatory: but he's 5 years older than Edmunds!! -
A not great (for Bills) mock draft. What would you do different?!
dorquemada replied to RyanC883's topic in The Stadium Wall
I assume at this point our scouting department is keeping a 2nd set of books to track KC's needs so if there's anything we can do for them at draft time, Beane will be ready! Leave no stone unturned. -

hey i like this I'm personally hoping for the 5th best still available slow undersized but high motor high character DE -
DK Metcalf requests trade to a contender
dorquemada replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. Other teams figure it out. Beane is going to have to swing for the fences at some point. Metcalf is worth it -

Shakir, Benford, Cook and Bernard: Who Gets a Contract Extension?
dorquemada replied to NoName's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir is a must keep piece. Benford/Bernard if the price is right because otherwise you're just making a hole to fill. Cook, i'd keep him at 10, but 15? Seems like trading him for a pick and getting the guy from OSU would be the better play? It's a shame because I like Cook but get that bag man -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

To be fair, and you're surely correct in your assertion, this board if full of idiots who should not be making decisions or handling sharp utensils. I include myself in this before someone points that out for me -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

This is the real issue. Philly DL got home because their secondary wasn't leaving anyone open. Dejean would have been a differencemaker -
Why would they go after Crosby when they could get a high motor developmental project DE or football challenged CB instead? Oh, right, or a hands of stone passcatcher that misses most of the season?

The defense will continually fail him in the playoffs. The FO will continue to raid the bargain bin at WR, or just draft a bunch of slow guys with 'sure' hands that forget how to catch in the playoffs. No wonder Allen has a 1000 yard stare, he's being dragged down by 1000 lilliputians

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
dorquemada replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean you're not wrong, but the counterpoint is that Beane/McD are incapable of building a championship defense. I dont know if it's scheme or personnel but Im leaning towards scheme. They continually spend draft picks and FA cash on D and keep getting the same results. Our stars on D go missing in the biggest games -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
dorquemada replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well we COULD draft this 5'10 guy who runs a 4.2 40 and had 9 million receptions in college. OR we could draft this guy who played 1 year of college football, has really big hands, and is built like a brick sht house. Yeah, I mean his 40 time is measured in minutes, why do you ask? /beane -
Allen suffered a wrist injury against KC, won’t go to Pro Bowl
dorquemada replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expect it's more "wrist injury" than wrist injury and I fully support Josh in this. Take a break from it all, maybe put your phone on DND for a few weeks -
Beane loves him some underperfroming DL in the middle rounds. High motor though!

The defense fails in the same way every year in the playoffs. The current regime has invested incredibly heavy on D, to the point of starving our superstar QB of a legit #1 receiver. So that implies one of two things. Either they suck at drafting & FA on defense, or, in fact, that their scheme will never win the big games regardless of personnel. Frankly, I think it's both. Im not saying they're terrible, Im saying they aren't in the same league as KC. Ultimately, we're our own version of Regular Season MVP Lamar Jackson. We just get one game further

At the end of the day Im not even sure it's the bodies. The scheme just has something lacking. The fact that KC scored the most points they've scored all year against us last night is insult to injury. It always seems like the Bills get burned most of the time when they blitz, and this soft zone BS just gets eaten up by good QBs. I'd hoped that McDoink would have learned something from the Rams game but alas, HIS SYSTEM CAN NEVER FAIL, IT CAN ONLY BE FAILED

The stubbornness to continually run the QB sneak....
dorquemada replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Spagnola is a better DC than any OC the Bills have had or will have Keeping Cook on the sideline in Q4 is coaching malpractice. Too cute by half, then running the same QB sneak what 5 times? I'm sure KC couldn't believe their luck to be scheming against such halfwits -
The most embarrassing outcome, therefor the most likely, is that Allen will win the MVP now

Cooper DeJean - Would he have made a difference?
dorquemada replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nothing against Coleman, but it seems like we could get a guy like him in a later round. Our defensive secondary continues to suck when we need them the most. DeJean would have certainly made a difference, and probably not just in this game, I bet he would have helped against the Rams too Coleman, Kincaid, Elam. Even Rousseau was invisible yesterday except when one of the other DL wiped him out Can the Bills just trade out of the 1st round? They're terrible at it outside of the Allen pick
