  1. Just looked at ESPN and Stephen A is gushing about the Ravens and Lamar. Thinks if Lamar wins the Super Bowl he might be considered one of the greats of all time. He is focusing alot on the earlier season game and has not given a thought as to how both teams have evolved since that game. He is treating the Bills like they are chopped liver.
  2. I assume we will beat Denver Sunday. Although Kansas City is always a formidable foe, the Raven's scare me the most since they have a mobile quarterback and a strong running back. We also didn't do very well against them when we played them earlier in the year. Our run defense is still suspect and this could be a big test.
  3. The announcers were beaming about how great Cody Ford has been. How he has played all the positions and has done everything asked of him Is this our Cody Ford?
  4. It shows how important it is to be the number one seed, or have nothing to play for in the last week where you can rest players. We were in unrelenting mode since we were 6 -6 and eventually the team wore down.
  5. I would hire a replacement for Leslie Frazier and let McDermott be head coach. He needs another point of view of the field especially in critical conditions. I would also invest heavily in the offense. In the Chiefs game, we saw you get get pretty far with virtually no linebackers. Next year our linebackers will be healthy and you can always draft them.
  6. I would draft a developmental quarterback. We saw this year that a number of teams were able to survive with a decent backup. We don't have one. I would fire the special teams coach and look at other kickers and punters.
  7. The revenge of Spicoli
  8. NFL Network is reporting that Josh is banged up after the last game. Hopefully he will be good to go on Sunday. But this raises a key issue -- do you want Kyle Allen starting a game? Given the way Josh plays, its only a matter of time before he gets a injury that has him sitting on the sidelines for a while. We all saw this year that a capable backup can take you pretty far. We need to be in a better position next year.
  9. I wonder if after this game Jerry Jones is saying "how about them Cowboys"? What a fraud!!
  10. What I am wondering about Elam is that he appears to be in McD's doghouse. Not sure how he got there, but wondering if they are really giving him a fair shake. You think they would given that he was a first round pick, but I have a feeling there is more to this story than meets the eye.
  11. Dallas has some good wide receivers. Couldn't we use a corner who could potentially cover them?
  12. I thought Andy Reid's comments were quite telling in that he expected a warning from the referee regarding the illegal formation. Is he kidding or is this evidence of the expectation of a two-tiered system regarding officiating favoring the "darling" teams. We are luck that we had this ref crew this week. If we had the one we had in Philadelphia, we would have lost this game.
  13. A good pick. Why not another wide receiver and a backup quarterback?
  14. McD looks like he just tolerates offense and thinks defense wins all the games. He is stuck in an old coaching mentality and hasn't embraced the modern realities of the NFL. The rules favor offense and we need an offensive minded staff, with a solid enough defense to prevent a collapse. McD has not shown that he is capable of this. Others have referred to him as a poor man's Dick Jauron. He might be closer to a poor man's Chuck Knox.
  15. Don't know for sure, but some of Beane's picks sure looked like stretches -- like he was told from McD that he needs this kind of player.
