  1. He might want to consider not practicing in yoga shorts.
  2. This is true. Like I said above, he traded talent on his teams in the past if he thought that the player's value on the court/ice didn't match their contract value.
  3. It's because there are only 15-20 actual difference-makers on the entire planet and that number might be optimistic. And they identified that, despite winning RotY, Michael Carter Williams was not one of those 15-20 players. And in order to win a title, you need 2-3 of them on your team. The football equivalent would be needing 2-3 franchise QBs to win a title. Teams like your Hornets and my Pacers exist to give teams like the Bucks, Nuggets, Warriors, and Celtics someone to play all winter. And you've got LeMelo Ball and we've got Tyreese Haliburton. Both fantastic players, but you're team is not winning anything if those are your best players.
  4. In your estimation is there a team that they match up well against?
  5. The Bengals make stuff up to create a "nobody respects us/us against the world" attitude every week. They've been doing that since 2021.
  6. I think that there is no doubt that this is true. They probably had similar offers and let Williams pick his landing spot. He’s a west coast guy who played at USC. So, he wasn’t coached by Carroll there, but he was probably recruited by him.
  7. He played in two games. He played in London and against the Giants. He got hurt in the Giants game.
  8. He's been on a injury report since the week leading into the Pats game with an ankle injury. So if this is some elaborate scheme, they have been plotting this for a while.
  9. I love all the negative posters coming in here and craping on this signing without doing any research when we have been discussing this all day. For those new to this discussion, Joseph came in "off the couch" last year for Philadelphia and played really well. He's extending his career by waiting for contending teams to have a need at his position and coming in and playing a half-season. There are a bunch of guys doing that. Last year, when the Eagles did this with Joseph and Suh everyone here said that Roseman was a genius. Now, when Beane does it, it's desperation.
  10. It's just funny that the team that just benched him for the season still bothered to congratulate him on his birthday. It's like getting a birthday text from a company that just fired you.
  11. That INT in the last game should never happen. After the tip, just tackle everyone. It's like the entire Bills team just stared at the ball.
  12. We don't know if this is all going to work, but credit to Beane for taking the swings and not punting on the season.
  13. OT, but Ari Meirov sounds a lot like Ray Romano
  14. So that's why they call those hamstrings. More like turkey strings in his case.
  15. The deadline for that was Monday. I only know this because it was reported that a Derrick Henry trade was unlikely because the Titans didn't restructure him before that date.
  16. He should play on Sunday. He just has to occupy space.
  17. These NFL athletes are incredible. At the combine, he ran a 5.04 40 at 6-4, 328.
  18. You want McDermott to tell the fans his gameplan? Flip that question on its head. Geno Smith had 326 passing yards on this defense and Brock Purdy had 365. The Bengals should have lost to the Seahawks and could have lost to the 49ers if Purdy could have stopped himself from throwing the ball right to the Bengals inside his own 20. The Bengals D let Geno Smith march down the field not once, but twice, in the 4th quarter with a 4-point lead. Both times Geno turned into a pumpkin again once in the RZ but the game was right there for the taking. We might get stomped like you think, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Games are not played on paper, and we have actual Superman at QB. I'll take our chances.
  19. I don't think that the Bills are the better team. These are teams built to win in different ways. BTW, this is the last hurrah for the Bengals before the cap comes into play and their fans are in complete denial. Mike Brown said "We can't pay everyone" in response to a question on Tee Higgins in training camp. Interesting factoid: Joe Burrow has never won a football game at the college or pro level without a complete all-star team around him. At LSU he had Jefferson, Chase and CE-H and in Cincinnati he has Higgins, Chase, Boyd, and Mixon.
  20. Me too. But people in here are pre-losing games in their minds to avoid impending disappointment. I hope the team doesn't do that. We have Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. We can beat anyone.
