  1. He did that to win the game in Carolina.
  2. The huge advantage is that teams get the whole rookie contract to compete with these types of players. The Bills, who draft toolsy guys, usually have to pay a player right when they finally figure it out.
  3. You construct a roster to stop a modern NFL offense, and in order to get to the Super Bowl you have to somehow stop a combination of the '85 Bears and Navy.
  4. A lot of the success of Daniels and Nix can be attributed to them playing high-level college football for 5 years. Jayden Daniels had 55 starts in the Pac12 and SEC. So he came in very pro-ready, but there might not be much of a second-year leap due to his already having reached his ceiling. Now that he has adjusted to the speed of the NFL game, what you see now is what you're going to get moving forward. This is in contrast to a guy like Drake Maye, who has much more room for growth if they get him the right coaching.
  5. 39.9% https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/rushing-first-down-pct
  6. My argument against Joe Burrow is that he cannot win a game without two all-pro-level WRs on the field at the same time. The Bengals were 1-4 without Higgins, and their sole win was against the Raiders at home. You talking about Burroughs or Burrows?
  7. Ben Johnson is only partly to blame. Dan Campbell wants to play that way. He wants those trick plays. We know that because they were called all year. Notice how the Bills haven't called a trick play since the debacle in Baltimore? That's a head coach stepping in and nipping that in the bud. Campbell takes "coaching to win" to an extreme level and sometimes that bites him in the butt. Yesterday was one of those days.
  8. As the head coach, he sets the tone. That riskiness comes from him.
  9. Every year one road team wins in the divisional round. Let’s hope that holds.
  10. I hate to toot my own horn, but I said that the Washington job was the best job last cycle. Everyone disagreed. Even @GunnerBill whom I respect. They had cap space, draft picks, and a new owner. You don't get that in NFL job openings usually.
  11. Dudes matter as much, if not more than, scheme.
  12. Eagles are the only NFC team that could beat KC or Bal. So if you are assuming a Buffalo loss tomorrow, root for the Eagles to make the SB.
  13. I'm not watching the game, just reading this thread. From the tone here, I expected it was 21-3, but I just checked and it's 7-3. Youse guys are so dramatic.
  14. No. WFT lost at home to the Brady Bucs in 2020-2021.
  15. He reads the defense like a QB because he was one into college.
  16. Brady used to love underthrowing WRs to get DPI calls. He did it all the time.
  17. Wendy Malick
  18. The football world thinks that read option between Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson that we saw in the WC round is an unstoppable play. It's up tp the Bills to prove them wrong.
  19. The Burrow-led Bengals have been the kings of manufactured disrespect. The rest of the team just follows his lead.
  20. They're home dogs because people bet that way, not due to some conspiracy. If the Ravens win, the Chiefs will be home dogs too. The Ravens, with Henry, are seen as unbeatable right now.
  21. I was just joking. That's really cool.
  22. Lives in Nashville and works gigs at Jerry World. Let me guess.......Roadie for Kenny Chesney!
  23. Since this thread seems to have morphed into a discussion of the playoff format, I have said for years that a first-round bye is too big of an advantage. You don't get that in any other sport. The best would be 8 teams, no bye. Everyone has to win 3 games to get to the SB. The advantage of the #1 playing weaker teams and playing always at home is enough.
  24. Just shot up the Bengals draft board.
