  1. On a serious note, you gotta think that he wasn’t happy when the Bills named Brady as OC and not him. He had more experience and was actually successful as an OC in Carolina.
  2. I got an idea. Let’s trade everyone but Josh so that we can have TBDs ideal roster; 1 QB and 52 WRs.
  3. I did not know that.
  4. I think that we may find out.
  5. Anyone else notice that the Eagles got a 3d, 3 5ths, and 5 6ths?
  6. Some of these mocks are what the mocker wants to see, not what he/she thinks will happen. In this case, he wants to see Worthy with Mahomes just for the entertainment value. He also wants Harrison to play with Hebert in LA, so he makes that happen too. They push fun players to Burrow all the time for the same reason, but everyone here in Cincinnati knows that they will draft OL or DT to replace DJ Reeder. But these types of Mocks have less value than toilet paper, because at least toilet paper serves a purpose.
  7. If NFL contracts were like NHL or NBA contracts, sure. Unload the player to get some picks to fill bigger needs. But they’re not. In terms of cap space, Milano costs more if we trade him than if he plays here.
  8. I doubt that the front office communicates personnel decisions to the social media team.
  9. Teams make trades they don’t work out all the time. Remember when the eagles traded Edmunds and two picks for Byard? Remember how that made Howie Roseman a genius? The Eagles just released him. Half a season of a guy that didn’t put them over the hump at all cost them a 4th and a 6th. Sometimes you take a swing and miss.
  10. There needs to be a pinned thread that explains what dead money is that should be required reading for everyone here.
  11. People want somebody to blame.
  12. Those Combine interviews have to be mentioned by the player or leaked by an agent. We might have met with him and it hasn't leaked.
  13. That's my point. There are always busts and guys that slip through the cracks but people on here are talking as if all of these guys this year will be great. To take the Bills out of this discussion, Jalen Reagor being taken right before Justin Jefferson was a case of a GM getting too cute in trusting metrics instead of their own two eyes. And people still think that Howie Roseman is a genius. There are countless examples of this. Look at all the WRs taken before Cupp, all because he had a bad combine running against air when the college tape told you that he would be really good. The Ravens took Rashad Batemen in the first round in 2021. He's never had more than 600 yards in a season. In that same draft, the Lions took Amon-Ra St. Brown in the 4th. There are no sure things.
  14. PFR Advanced passing stats, where they track drops, only go back to 2018. According to PFR, he had 7 drops in 2023. He had 7 drops in 2018 and 2019 with Winston. Then the drops fell significantly while playing with Brady. Now they rose again with Mayfield. But he had the most targets that he has had since 2018 and he had the most TD catches in his career. IOW, Baker Mayfield threw him the ball a lot.
  15. People talk about this class like it has unprecedented depth at the WR position. But 2020 was just as deep, and not all of those guys hit. First Round 12- Henry Ruggs (No idea) 15- Jerry Jeudy (Disappointment) 17- CD Lamb (Hit) 21- Jalen Reagor (Bust) 22- Justin Jefferson (Superstar) 25- Brandon Aiyuk (Hit) Second Round 33- Tee Higgins (Hit) 34- Michael Pittman (Hit) 42- Laviska Shenault (bust) 46- KJ Hamler (Bust due to injuries) 49- Chase Claypool (Bust-ish) 57- Van Jefferson (??) 59- Denzel Mimms (Bust) Late-round steals included Devin Duvernay (3rd), Gabe Davis (4th), Darnell Mooney (5th), KJ Osborne (5th), and guys like Quez Watkins, Peoples-Jones, and Hodgins in the late rounds that are not great but are playing on NFL rosters. What I mean in all of this is that one or more of these guys that you are all drooling over is going to be the Reagor/Shenault of this draft. I would place good money on it being someone who vaults up draft boards to his performance against air yesterday.
  16. I don't put much stock in Combine performances. If the WRs worked against the DBs, as they do in the Senior Bowl practices, I think it would be a lot more meaningful. In fact, I'm happy Franklin and Coleman had bad Combines. They may slip due to that. That's what happened to Cooper Cupp, and the Rams got a steal because of it.
  17. For all my fellow Americans. poundland is of course British for dollar store.
  18. I thought that CBS one was interesting because they mocked FA QB moves to set up their fantasy world where the Pats don't draft a QB. I feel like the mockers are trying to set up their boards to force a WR down to the Chiefs because they want that to happen for entertainment's sake. Also, JJ McCarthy is giving me serious Mac Jones vibes.
  19. Except last year or the year before that. The Bills haven't drafted D-line since they whiffed on Boogie three years ago.
  20. Here is a CBS Mock with a lot of trades that has the Bills taking Troy Franklin at 28. Do we like this one better? It has just as much value as the one the OP linked to. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-steelers-sign-kirk-cousins-and-raiders-add-russell-wilson-creating-fascinating-round-1/ Here is one from USA Today that has the Bills taking Coleman: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2024/02/28/nfl-mock-draft-2024-qb-projections/72778490007/ Bucky Brooks has us taking Coleman too: https://www.nfl.com/news/bucky-brooks-2024-nfl-mock-draft-2-0-washington-takes-jayden-daniels-over-drake-maye-qb-to-denver My point is that none of these mocks are worth getting worked up over.
  21. $55 million per? I think Spotrac's projection here is too high.
  22. He was asked to use Daboll's playbook almost unchanged in year one. Every DC knew what was coming. Then, he tried to implement 12 personnel in year two and Knox got hurt. But the rhythm was bad and he didn't adapt during games. He'll learn from that.
  23. Beane is not doing this evaluation on his own. It has been a failure of an entire scouting and player/personnel staff. But I would argue that he has hit on Groot, AJ, and Oliver. The only real miss of his high-round drafting on the DL is Boogie. Also, it is a failure that is shared with alll 32 NFL teams. Do you know that there were four DTs drafted before Chris Jones? And Jones played in the SEC, so it's not like he slipped through the cracks. One of the guys drafted before Jones was Robert Nkemdiche, who is currently in the CFL and another was former Bill Vernon Butler. Outside of a few can't-miss prospects, it is a very inexact science.
  24. Don't say that too loudly, because the TBD two-man Ken Dorsey Defense Force will come after you. One guy defends him so hard that I think that it may be Ken himself. To be fair, I think that Ken got a bit of a raw deal in Buffalo. He'll learn from his mistakes and he'll be better the next time he gets to call plays.
  25. Zach Wilson doesn't beat us. Salah's defense does. He admitted after that week 1 win (by the Jets) that he knew the plays that Dorsey called before the ball was snapped. If you think back on those Jets losses. they all involved multiple turnovers by the Bills as well as stalled drives. Salah may be a bit of a meathead and a bad HC, but he is a great defensive mind.
