Pegulas selling 25% of the Bills, per Tim Graham
Low Positive replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nah, stay up there. Josh Allen is about to ask for a trade. I read it right here on TBD. -
Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?
Low Positive replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's my point. If you want great WRs, you have to put up with the behavior and Josh has to learn how to manage that. It's part of his job. I mean, MHJ and Nabers have already started acting like they are too good for the draft process and that they have to make "business decisions" and that's before even being drafted. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
Low Positive replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am flipping back and forth between TBD and SabresSpace today and on one board Josh Allen is demanding a trade because he hates Sean McDermott (there is no indication that this is true in any way) and on the other board, the team is getting sold and moved (all because of someone on Twitter who posts under the name 12oz sports). Buffalo sports fans are like a toxic slurry of misery and confirmation bias. If our teams aren't actively in the process of making us miserable, we'll invent stuff to make ourselves miserable. Misery is our natural state. My theory is that it all stems from an inferiority complex that comes from growing up in WNY when the place was not nice at all and Johnny Carson used to make fun of us weekly. Everybody hates us and we don't deserve nice things. -
They try to fill up as much of the space between the Super Bowl and the start of Training Camp as they can. It goes: Televised combine Pro days Top 30 visits (results in rumors to be discussed) Draft Schedule release Rookie Mini Camp Mini Camp Training Camp The only gap is June to mid July. Other than during that period, the NFL dominates the national sports discussion. The NBA does this too. They have their draft right after the season ends, but then they have televised Summer League games where fans get their first glimpses of the newly-drafted players as pros. Then training camps open in September. The only gap is August.

McShay got laid off in the ESPN purging earlier this year. I think that this draft is a bit boring because there is no drama at the top. Also, now that ESPN has both the NBA and the NHL, they are fully into promoting the playoffs of those leagues.

Lance Zierlein: Bills should draft 2 WR in the first 3 rounds
Low Positive replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you look at the draft trade charts, our entire draft is worth less than the Chargers pick at 5 (I think that the first four picks will be QBs after the Vikings trade up to 4). Even if you add in that pick that the Bills got for Diggs, it's not enough. It would have to be 2024 and 2025 firsts, 2024 2nd and that high second in 2025 plus other picks. And all that for a guy that could bust. That's a high price for a non-QB. -

Relieved? I read on this message board today that Josh Allen is about to demand a trade to the Rams after the 2025 season due to the details of his contract and his hatred of Sean McDermott. Josh Allen has never given any indication of being unhappy playing in Buffalo and he went to bat for McDermott, but that doesn't stop fans from speculating that he hates it there. But Bills fans are a unique bunch. They play out every scenario, identify the worst possible outcome, and then convince themselves that the worst outcome is inevitable. I think that most of it is an inferiority complex derived from living in WNY, but it rubs off on fans who have never lived a day of their life in Buffalo. I think that we are unique in this. Nobody in Green Bay (a city much smaller and more isolated than Buffalo) is discussing Jordan Love's coming trade demand to the Niners and no one in Cincinnati is playing out Joe Burrow trade demand scenarios to Miami if the Bengals don't win a super bowl in the next few years. And that's with Jordan Love being from Bakersfield and Joe Burrow having said that Cincinnati is "boring." FWIW, I'm still pissed off at Diggs for this stunt, Beane for giving in to his demands, and the entire Bills organization for allowing it to get to that point. Josh needs to learn how to deal with diva WRs because all of the great ones act like that. So if he's relieved, he better not get too comfortable because if whoever we draft becomes as good as Diggs, he will start acting like a diva. It's only a matter of time. -
I don't think that the teams themselves announce those visits. It is usually the agents leaking to drum up interest or the players themselves posting it to social media. So, Thomas' post on Instagram is probably about as good a source that you can have for this type of information.

Best examples of failed 1st rounders who revived their careers?
Low Positive replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Alex Smith. I'm cheating a bit because Brandon Perna just posted a Ball Deep on Smith today. -
I totally agree with you, but I can't find a way to do it. The Vikings have two firsts in this draft and I think they will trade those plus a 1st next year to Arizona for 4. They will then take McCarthy who will bust, but I digress. You then have the Chargers at 5 with all the WRs still on the board. In order to get there, the Bills would probably have to trade 2024 1st, 2024 2nd, 2025 1st and 2025 2nd (from Vikings) and that still probably isn't enough. If it took 3 1st roud picks and two 2nds would you still want them to do that?

Million dollar super cars have multiple defects right from the factory. They are hilariously unreliable and are only good for about 20,000 miles. So basically, Stefon Diggs.

Epic, Hypothetical Trade Scenario: Would ya?
Low Positive replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been a no on this since @Pine Barrens Mafia suggested it in the aftermath of the Denver loss, but the salary cap does make things like this interesting to think about. At every position other than QB, a high-level draft prospect has more value than an all-pro. For example, the right to pick MHJ is worth more right now than Justin Jefferson. This is unique to the NFL. International soccer leagues have no cap or draft, baseball has no cap or draft for Latin American players and players take years to develop, the NBA has a soft cap, and the NHL drafts at 18 so like baseball players take years to see the top league. In the NFL, potential on a rookie deal is worth more than any player that you have to pay. All that being said, QB is different. -
No! This draft is the first step in my dream of building a roster with Josh Allen and 52 WRs. Just think of what he could do with all those weapons!
-
I agree with your point. I was just joking about Talbot's typo.
-
I don't want a small-small prospect. I want big-big prospects.
-
You joke, but there are multiple frequent posters on TBD who want the Bills to do just that.
-
I was wrong. It is Ankou.
-
I think that's Mike Edwards, the S that the Bills signed from the Chiefs.
