  1. I watched every one of those games, or at least the two Mahomes games and the Burrow game. I already admitted that I posted out of anger and regret creating this thread. But I don't want to delete it because there is a discussion here.
  2. Of course it's rare. Teams that are playing well don't fire coaches mid-season.
  3. In 2012, the Ravens fired Cam Cameron after week 14 and went on to win the Super Bowl that year.
  4. People who know a lot more about football than I do were saying that you could tell the Bills plays based on formation. They established tendencies and then never broke those tendencies. Orlovsky said that yesterday. Like what Peppers said about his pick. He knew the play based upon the formation and that if he even cheated towards the low guy on the high/low concept Josh would take the high guy and he could jump the route. He said that he knew he was getting a pick before the snap of the ball. Dorsey should have been let go just based on that.
  5. And Bengals fans want to run Taylor out of town on a rail. They complain about vanilla playcalling and being too reliant on Burrow and Chase to make plays. They complain about players never being schemed open. But they know that nothing will ever be done on that front because he made a Superbowl via a couple of lucky bounces in 2021 and Mike Brown kept Marvin Lewis for 15 years even though he never won a single playoff game. I'm saying that the Bills should keep McDermott (I think that he's lost the locker room and needs to go). I'm just pointing out that the grass is not always greener.
  6. I really wish that could go back and take about half of that away. Especially the "I don't think he cares" part. I don't really believe that. I posted angry in the wake of a lost season. He does need to stop throwing INTs, especially the ones that DBs bait him into.
  7. They don't and it's really bad if they do. I remember back when Mike Davis was the head coach at Indiana, he was known to read the message boards. He had a mental breakdown on national TV when Steve Alford got a standing ovation when he came to Bloomington with Iowa. It was all because he had read the thousands of posts calling for Alford to be coach at Indiana. But as @BobbyC81purposes notes above, I'm sure the team has staff that tracks these types of things to get general fan sentiment for marketing pruposes.
  8. I think that this is so hard on us for a number of reasons. First of all, most of us have been waiting for the other shoe to drop since the Bills got good in 2020. It felt too good to be true. and this feels like the end of something. And the Bills will probably have to have an even worse year next year just to get out of the cap situation that we're in so we're looking at 2025 before being able to compete again. We'll have our old trouble attracting players and coaches to Buffalo because we can hire and fire coaches but all that snow is going nowhere. But more than anything, this feels like a regression to the mean. The Bills struggling just feels like the natural order of things. Having a franchise QB suddenly not being able to stop throwing the ball to the other team feels like a repeat of the Trent Edwards situation x100 because Josh was soooo good and the crash has been so sudden. I don't know about other people, but this is uncharted territory for me as a fan. I have been angry about the Bills. I have been indifferent. But I have never been sad, and that's my primary emotion right now.
  9. He's toxic. If you want someone from the Reid coaching tree, the OC for the Giants would be a good hire.
  10. He only played 3 games in 2020 and 7 games in 2021. I guess those are McCaffrey's two worst seasons but it's because he barely played.
  11. You still can. Unless the Broncos are competing for the SB it was a stupid move, regardless of what happened Monday night. They didn't have to trade a boatload of picks for the right to offer him that stupid contract.
  12. Well, the Bills do lead the Jets 2-1 in players-only meetings. Do we win something?
  13. I think it was McDermott. He was pissed that Dorsey refused to call running plays against that poor Broncos run defense. Someone said that it looked like McDermott was calling the offensive plays on the Bills TD drive at the end. If so, then Dorsey was basically fired mid-game.
  14. The problem is that the people who would actually have to do that don’t believe that they can.
  15. Let your kid grow a bit and not be a baby anymore and it will all come back. My kids are 18 and 20 and I’m really mad right now.
  16. Joe Brady never worked with McDermott in Carolina. McDermott and Beane’s tie to Carolina was the Ron Rivera regime, not Matt Rhule.
  17. That’s not surprising. McDermott never gives any info at press conferences.
  18. He worked with Palmer in the offseason. Somebody posted a video today of Palmer talking about how he worked with both Josh and Kyle Allen in California over the summer. But probably not for as long as he did in previous years, but that was mostly due to the elbow injury.
  19. he keeps throwing the same INT over, and over, and over again. It's broken him.
  20. Guys fail as OCs in one place and succeed in another all the time. For one glaring example, see the career arc of Brian Daboll.
  21. It's mostly his brother stirring the drama on Twitter, but yeah.
  22. What I miss is feeling like the Bills were a well-run organization that players wanted to play for.
