  1. Nothing guarantees an appearance. A lot of luck goes into it and there is no trade or FA signing that can guarantee that. (BTW, am I the only one who struggles to spell guarantee?)
  2. Kelley, like Edelman before him, can read spots in zones due to his years as a college QB.
  3. Is TJ Watt the best player in the NFL?
  4. I don't know that there are any truly bad teams anymore.
  5. And he had a great defense. Then Mike Brown didn't pay any of those guys when free agency hit and they have missed on consecutive defensive draft picks. Now they have the worst defense in the league. They went to the Superbowl on the back of that defense. Burrow and the offense did just enough to ride that wave. Now that Burrow has to do everything, he comes up small in the big moments. Like today, he had a great game and then when the game was on the line couldn't score to ice away a season-saving game. As Bills fans, a lot of this sounds familiar.
  6. Their fans got super cocky, following the lead of their QB. Now, it has all crashed back down to earth and they are out with pitchforks. People are angry. Talking about "wasting Burrow's career." I talk to Bengals fans every day (I live here) and they don't see this as a blip or a slow start. They want "accountability" and want the DC fired yesterday.
  7. There is a 5-page Jungle Noise thread entitled FIRE ZAC TAYLOR NOW!!!! 5 pages is equivalent to 25 pages here (there have a much less active community).
  8. No, it's because people can't be rational about their own teams. Read this thread entitled FIRE ZAC TAYLOR NOW!!!!: https://thebengalsboard.com/thread-39207.html
  9. It's funny how people here can be rational about teams like the Bengals and 49ers still having time to turn it around, but not about the Bills. I mean, the Bengals are 1-4 and the 49ers are 2-3.
  10. He's not bringing anything to the calls that fans don't already know. He could, of course, do what Romo did early on in his career but he doesn't for whatever reason. My favorite announcer in any sport is Hubie Brown. I learn something about basketball every time I watch a game he's calling. BTW, AFAIK he's still calling and teaching the game at 91. One of a kind.
  11. KC had all three TOs. If they didn't, 13 seconds wouldn't have happened.
  12. Knowing that the team will be worse this year and actually watching it are two different things.
  13. Remember that Thanksgiving game in Detroit? Similar situation. In that case, Josh threw a laser to Diggs to set up a game-winning FG. Now, he has no one to throw that to. That's on Beane. Everytime I think that I am over this one, I just keep coming back to the fact that the GM punted on a season for cap reasons. Why does the cap not apply to the Cowboys and Eagles but it does to the Bills. Is Terry not willing to write those checks anymore.
  14. They still have to play Pittsburgh twice. Mike Tomlin has Zac Taylor's offense all figured out. They have to play the Ravens again in Baltimore and then will lose at least one of their two against the Browns (they do every year). If they split with the Steelers (which they will) that make 7 probable losses. And they'll lose to one of the Eagles or the Cowboys. That loss to the Pats in week 1 was brutal.
  15. The problem is that pass rush is the strength of this upcoming draft. This WR class is not very good.
  16. Don't look now, but Cincinnati is 1-4. That is a heck of a hole to dig out of.
  17. Didn't you hear? He's practicing responsible cap management. It feels like he cares more about the cap situation and draft picks than actually winning football games.
  18. Pegula really likes McDermott as a person. He won't fire him.
  19. And their strength was supposed to be hands
  20. I love when a big play happens and you can tell who's streams are behind
  21. That's what's killing me. The Ravens can't run against the Cincinnati run D while they ran all over us. Also the GD Jags almost beat this same Texans team last week. Those first three weeks were a mirage. This is what we are.
  22. I'm usually one of the most positive posters on this board, but this game, combined with the Ravens sudden inability to run against the worst run D in the league, is breaking me.
  23. I'm not talking about this game. I'm talking about the roster in general. You see it here, but you also saw it last week and you could see it before he season started. They decided to do a cap reset year, subjecting a fanbase just waiting for the other shoe to drop to a year of bad football. I realize that there is some teambuilding logic to this, but as a fan of this team since I was born in Buffalo Children's in 1973 I just can't take the lack of urgency of this front office. WE NEED TO WIN NOW!!!!!!
