  1. The Fins huge advantage in this game is that Bills didn't have a full week of prep to get ready for all those offensive wrinkles that they throw at you. Last year, we didn't fall for the pre-snap cheese but that takes practice and discipline. I hope they were preparing during those weeks leading into the season for this.
  2. I hear you. Each team is different, and of course we have been good for the past 5 years. But when I see those uniforms, I not only see these Josh Allen-led teams, but I see every bad drought-era team as well. I see EJ Manuel. I see Kyle Orton. I see all those teams that went between 7-9 and 9-7 and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and for this franchise to go back to where it was.
  3. I think they just didn't want to play in all white in the mud
  4. Every KO in that direction was returned except for the one that Bass kicked out of bounds.
  5. I hate playing this game tonight. Not because I think it's bad for the Bills, but for me. I needed a week off after Sunday.
  6. Try to have fun watching the game tonight. Even if they lose, it's not the end of the world. We can get even in November.
  7. Unlike when it's sunny down there in September, both teams have to play in the same conditions tonight.
  8. Humans don’t understand the world through rational facts. They understand their world through stories. Once one is told, it becomes gospel truth and it’s almost impossible to move people from it.
  9. I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but.....
  10. They called a few in the Monday night game.
  11. Both teams had identical games at home week 1. Miami is at home for this one. -1.5 is essentially a pick em. Vegas (and the betters) have no idea who will win.
  12. Saying that Flaco was so much better than Watson is a bit of revisionist history. I went and took a look. Flaco was brought in to back up D T-R after Watson's surgery. D T-R got a concussion, so in came Flaco who lost his first start badly @ the Rams. He then beat the Jags at home (who were in a tailspin after losing to the Jake Browning-led Bengals and Lawrance played injured in that game), the Bears at home, the Texans on the road (the only good win of the run), and then Jets at home. He didn't play in week 18 and then lost the playoff game. Outside of the Texans win, not exactly impressive. Remember, Watson best Lamar and the Ravens in Baltimore in week 10.
  13. Baker Mayfield played well but had a down year due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The Browns cut him loose because they have an impatient owner who wanted to make a splash. Now that he has healed and found a home with a functional organization (after a stop at an even more dysfunctional organization), we can see the talent that got him drafted. Everyone likes to talk about what would have happened to Mahomes if he had landed in Buffalo instead of KC but what if the Browns had taken Josh Allen like they should have? Is he still as good as he is, or would they have moved on from him due to a lack of patience in his development? You can say what you will about Beane and McDermott (god knows we all question gameday and personnel decisions), but the Bills are no longer a dysfunctional organization after being one for decades. For that, I thank them.
  14. This is SOOOO true. We would have begged for it and bashed the GM for not doing enough when he was traded to another team. We would have been all over any crazy Russell Wilson deal too.
  15. I can't believe I'm going to defend the Browns, but there was nothing in Watson's play to suggest that he would fall off a cliff like this. His best season, numbers-wise, was his last in Houston. We're hearing lately that Bill O'Brien had to dumb down the playbook to a college offense to get that performance out of Watson and that Stefanski refuses to do this but I didn't hear that at the time.
  16. You know, if the Bills would have lost there would have been a call to WGR like that about Diggs
  17. Aaron prob took himself out.
  18. I actually like that too. When it was Mets, Jets, and Isles fandom meant something about who you were and where you were from.
  19. Sad Mike Greenberg tomorrow will be fun.
  20. Can’t be. The great sage of suburban Dayton has already prognosticated them as 20-0 SB Champs.
