  1. But the Niners are contending, and the Raiders are not. That's a big difference.
  2. Those were slight move ups. To Get Thomas, the Blls would have had to get in front of Jacksonvills. Go and look at the actual draft, and identify the team that would have been willing to trade back. Here are the relevant picks: 17 Minnesota Vikings Dallas Turner 18 Cincinnati Bengals Amarius Mims OT GeorgiaSEC 19 Los Angeles Rams Jared Verse DE Florida State ACC 20 Pittsburgh Steelers Troy Fautanu OT WashingtonPac-12 21 Miami Dolphins Chop Robinson DE Penn StateBig Ten 22 Philadelphia Eagles Quinyon Mitchell CB ToledoMAC 23 Jacksonville Jaguars Brian Thomas Jr. WR LSUSEC 17 - The Vikings traded up with Jacksonville to get Turner 18 - The Bengals reallllly needed OL help and took the best that they could get. This was a terrible pick, but the Bengals don't know how to scout OL so it's par for the course 19 - Rams needed to replace at least part of Aaron Donald's pass rush production 20 - The Steelers reallllly needed OL help. They took a C in the second round who's starting for them. 21 - Fins would never trade in division, otherwise this would have been the spot 22 - Eagles had a terrible secondary last year and went into the draft aiming to address that. Their first two picks were both CBs, and they got the best one in the draft here. 23 - The Jags read the board the way that I just did and traded back knowing that Thomas would still be there. The Bills would have had to massively overpay to get those teams to not take the BPA at positions of real need. In retrospect, Beane should have used that Minnesota 2025 second to move up before the draft, but we had no way of knowing that the Vikings would overperform this year.
  3. Vegas still likes the Bills a lot more than their own fans do. But I do think that the team that they don't know what to think about is the Jets.
  4. He is a generational poster, after all.
  5. It makes no sense. His dead cap hit is more than double his cap hit.
  6. That all makes sense, not to mention that we certainly didn't want to pay him what he got from the Teslas.
  7. Cooper will go somewhere. The Browns are circling the drain and they just paid Juedy to be the future. Now, he'll probably go to KC after Adams goes to the Jets.
  8. Seahawks made Daniel Jones look pretty good last week.
  9. Lot of snowballs in both playoff games at Highmark last season. He was also probably joking.
  10. Nobody wants to hear it because Mahomes, but they have been winning with defense and special teams (kicking) for two straight seasons.
  11. He probably watched that Fins snow game on TV and was responding to that. There were a lot of snowballs thrown in that game.
  12. I'd want a younger player if you're giving up that much
  13. It is so interesting. Against the Seahawks, a game that Nabors didn't play, he got 46% of the offensive snaps but 0 targets. He has had only 3 targets all season. I think that he's just running clearout routes.
  14. Not everyone is about winning. He wants to be comfortable and play with his friends. He went to a non-contending Raiders team to play with his college roommate.
  15. If all that is true, at least Beane knows that he has to do something.
  16. He also became an immediate #1 and has the targets to show.
  17. I think that has to do with familiarity. With most QBs, WRs are taught to come back to the ball when the QB scrambles. With Josh, they need to take off downfield and let him use his cannon. But I agree that this should have been worked out in camp.
  18. It's a technicality (which is the basis for most of these stats), but Gruden was not fired. He resigned.
  19. I just checked the gamebook for that Chargers game. Here is the OL: V Ducasse G 62 100% J Mills T 62 100% R Groy G 62 100% J Miller G 62 100% D Dawkins T 62 100% Yikes!!!
  20. It is true that Josh was trying his best to throw an INT in that Houston game. They dropped at least two, and that's just the portion of the game that I saw.
  21. And huge numbers of those conversions were sideline passes to Diggs or Beasley.
  22. This is a very good point. He seems to finally be "taking what the defense gives him" and is loathe to push the ball down the field. Some of that is the WRs, but some might also be fear of throwing INTs.
  23. The trade demand after he forced the franchise to make two coaching moves seems to be a bit erratic.
  24. Let's run this back a bit. Last year, Adams (along with Maxx Crosby and Josh Jacobs) led the charge that got Josh McDaniels fired. He also led the charge to give Pierce the permanent job. Now, he refuses to play for the coach that he insisted the franchise hire?
  25. That guy that owns the A's is right up there, as is Jimmy Haslem.
