  1. I said he was wise, but in a Yogi Berra "wherever you go, there you are" sort of way.
  2. As that wise philosopher of football once said, "to win games, you have to not lose games."
  3. So far it looks like the Colts are the surprise team and the best team in the AFC South, but I'm old enough to remember when the Saints were the talk of the league for the first two weeks last year.
  4. And he played through a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder and was rewarded for that by being traded away.
  5. Most teams are losing players too. The Bucs, for instance, are down both starting OTs as I type this and just lost an edge rusher. The Seahawks played this week without both S Nick Emmanwori and CB Devin Witherspoon. Their fans have pages of discsusion about these injuries, but I bet most here didn't know anything about them. We just don't notice other teams' injuries unless they are QBs or high-profile stars so it feels like we are the only team with guys out.
  6. Bucky Irving is a strong runner.
  7. They are really calling OPI (and offensive Offside) a lot more this year.
  8. Now that was one heck of a catch. I feel like I'm on an island with this, but I'm starting to dislike CJ Stroud.
  9. If this had to happen, now is not a terrible time. We should be able to beat the Fins and Saints without him, so that gives him three weeks.
  10. FYI. This is the "Angry Jets Fans" video. The one that you wanna watch.
  11. Just don't fall for the pre-snap eye candy and it's a pretty simple one-read offense.
  12. You know what they call three 4-yard runs? That was after the rest of the country had been switched to other games and all of NY had turned off their TV. They got goofy because few people were watching. Baseball announcers do it all the time after long rain delays.
  13. Also, the position has gotten harder to play as offenses have gotten more complex. Elam might have been good 20 years ago.
  14. Andrew Booth, the other CB that people mocked to the Bills, has busted even worse. Happens.
  15. Figuratively heated up, but literally cooled down.
  16. Ravens probably told that to Schefter to stir up 💩 in Cleveland. Although Schefter usually gets his stuff from agents, so who knows.
  17. People here treat the playoffs as a given. They're not. It's like everyone has collective amnesia about both the 2021 and 2023 seasons. In both cases, the Bills were out of a playoff spot in Early December and had to win out. And they almost didn't in both cases. Remember Matt Ryan's collapse at the end of that snow game in 2021? And in 2023, we were one Kadarius Toney offensive Offside penalty from missing the playoffs. Every game matters.
  18. They also lost in week 8 to the Browns and Week 11 to the Steelers. All those losses meant that they had to come to Buffalo. When there are only 17 games, they all matter.
  19. Would you still say the games don't matter if the Bills were 0-2?
  20. For the record, I watched the end of the Bengals-Jags game (I didn't see Tyrod's garbage time TD) and the biggest plays in that comeback were: BTJ dropped a short pass in his chest at the goal line, giving the Bengals the ball back A VERY soft DPI call on Travis Hunter that felt like a "welcome to the NFL" message from the refs Also, Browning threw 3 INTs. People keep quoting Browning's 4-3 record in 2023. Lets break that down. Those wins were against: The Jags in a game where they lost Lawrance on the first drive The Gardner Minshew-led Colts The Nick Mullens-led Vikings in OT The Browns in a meaningless week 18 game. It just became a story because the first three wins came in a row. The losses were two against the Steelers and one against the Chiefs. BTW, every Bengals fan I know was pissed about those wins. They knew they were just losing draft slots.
  21. They move prior to the tush push every time. That is nothing new.
  22. Is there any chance that the Colts are actually good?
  23. As a Bills fans, I hope he leads the league in punts.
