Sure, but he didn't work in NE and they cut bait quickly. It's interesting what they did. It's now clear that last year was a cap-reset year to undo the mistakes Belichick made in his post-Brady tenure. Then they brought in the coach they were always going to hire and let him have all that cap space to play with.

Not only that, but they missed on a first-round QB and recovered from that mistake very quickly. That doesn't usually happen.

I mean, the Pats OL was the only line that didn't hold for 20 years, and then they suddenly starting holding in 2020. In an uncertain world, it's nice that something is back to normal.
