  1. Crab Legs is who he is.
  2. The Browns are the most fun team in the league. Relishing playing the spoiler. Steelers better watch out.
  3. Jerry Jeudy is just clowning on the Broncos.
  4. I know that feeling. I hate watch the Bengals every Sunday, even though I like living in Cincinnati.
  5. On 3-10, why throw a pass behind the LoS to a TE?
  6. Probably recorded that at around 6:00 yesterday.
  7. There’s the Jameis Winston that we all know and love.
  8. His dead cap hit is so huge that I’m not sure that they’ll be able to field a team
  9. I want Jerry Jeudy to score a TD just to hear the crowd boo.
  10. Like any CEO, Goodell is under pressure from his "board of directors" to engage in constant growth. But, he has already grown the game of American football as far as he can. Unless they are trying to make some point, almost all sports fans pay attention to NFL football. Even people whose primary interest in football on Saturdays also watch on Sundays (even if they say they don't). They already bulldozed baseball by having the draft and training camp take up so much sports oxygen in the summers. So how can he grow the game? A few things: Flag football: This is important because it is the only way to get broad-based casual participation in the game. The thought of a co-ed rec tackle football league is almost laughable. Not so with flag football. That's why the NFL is pushing this so hard. People who play a sport are fans for life, and that includes girls/women. Appeal to non-sports fans: This is why they hit the gold mine with the Taylor Swift thing. It's why they have elaborate halftime shows at the SB. Look internationally: The NBA did such a good job growing support in China that every other professional league is looking to replicate that success. For example, ~500 million people signed up for a digital streaming service for NBA basketball in the 2018-2019 season. The NFL has already created interest in the UK, Mexico, and Germany. The next frontier is Asia. You can hate China for political reasons, but that's a lot of people with a lot of money. Goodell cannot just "leave things as they are" because that's what his core fans want. He's paid to expand revenue and increase the value of the 32 teams. He's trying everything to make that happen short of actual international expansion. TBH, I don't like any of it but I'm not the target audience.
  11. I'm 50. I went to games in the 80's when the Bills went 2-14. I was at Kay Stevenson's last game as head coach (It was against the Vikings and Bills fans had paper bags over their heads). My early experience with Bills football was LOSING. I was also at Jim Kelly's first game as a Bill against the Jets ("giving him the business" game). We lost that game, but Jim tripped, got back up and threw a TD. I knew that was different. I remember getting Ickey Shuffled. I remember Ronnie Harmon dropping that pass. I lived through the 4 SB losses, and the Music City Forward Pass. I lived through the drought. This is the golden age. Enjoy this.
  12. Zoom in and check out the smile. This dude loves this stuff!
  13. Never should have let DJ Reeder go.
  14. Because Mo Eggar is more fun to listen to after a Bengals loss
  15. I can still hear Dick Vitale calling games on ESPN between Lou Carnesecca's St. Johns teams and Rollie Massimino's Villanova teams screaming about Paisans. Those really were glory years for college basketball.
  16. I know that my Hoosiers are not as good as their record indicates. And I know that people will call out scoring 66 points as bad sportsmanship. But this game was as cathartic as that perfect game against the Pats for us long-suffering Hoosiers' fans.
  17. I feel for the guy. He went from Staley to Flus.
  18. The last great Bears QB was Sid Luckman. He retired in 1950.
  19. The Flus is Loose!
  20. Marvin Lewis coached the Bengals for 15 years with zero playoff wins.
  21. Eastern Washington is even worse: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roos_Field
  22. Yeah, because it wasn't that cold. They lose these games before they even start.
  23. A fumble on the 3 and not punching it in from the one will do that.
  24. Any team will play other good teams in the playoffs. No way to avoid it.
