  1. Deshawn doesn't want to play and the Browns don't want him to play. It seems to have worked itself out.
  2. If you squint hard enough, every thread on TBD is a closed fire McDermott thread. In other Browns news, Deshawn Watson might miss next season due to a "setback" in his recovery. https://www.si.com/nfl/browns-reveal-deshaun-watsons-2025-season-in-jeopardy-after-injury-setback
  3. What about people who actually live in Buffalo itself?
  4. Does Antonio Pierce still have his job? How about Mike McCarthy?
  5. I don't know about McDermott, but Stefanski used Dorsey to save his job 100%. When it was clear that things were going south in Cleveland, Stefanski conveniently handed over playcalling to Dorsey just so he could fire him and save his job. That's obvious to everyone except Haslem.
  6. Remember, just a year and a half ago the Fins put up 70 on the Broncos and McDaniel was the future of the sport. They were doing roller coaster TD celebrations. Life comes at you fast.
  7. Is it just me, or is this the least interesting Black Monday in years? No surprises yet.
  8. Hey Woody! You wanna hire Arthur Smith! You know you do!
  9. They don't have a weight room. What they have is half-priced Planet Fitness memberships.
  10. Players don't try to lose, but a coach can. Punting from the 35 and pulling Mitch for Mike White was a deliberate attempt to lose a game. The Chiefs didn't even play their primary backups. Everyone who was on the field was playing to win, but the coaching staff put them in a position to lose.
  11. Exactly. Mitch was doing too good. He had to be pulled.
  12. I can think of 8-10 million reasons...
  13. Lou Anarumo's fan club consists almost entirely of Bills fans.
  14. They made preseason predictions that the Bills would miss the playoffs and are hoping to be proven at least a little bit correct with a Broncos upset. They will go to great lengths to be proven right. This week, Conor Orr picked the Bengals, Chiefs and Jets to win just to keep his preseason prediction of a Bengals SB win alive.
  15. Everyone treats Ben Johnson as a slam dunk, but don't know that he is not a "milquetoast assistant." All we know about him is that he calls a good game and has produced an effective and balanced offense. We don't know how he is as a leader and CEO because Dan Campbell is so obviously the head of that show. Also, the fact that he keeps turning down offers is a red flag for me. He turned down Washington at the last minute, and that was a good opening. But in general, coaching candidates are either retreads or unproven assistants. There are no other options unless you want to take the risk of a college guy.
  16. I hear ya. I live in Cincinnati and had to live with that loss in interesting ways for a year.
  17. Absolutely. Vikings have been frauds all year. I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop. It finally has.
  18. Rams will win, but Philly is going to the SB.
  19. They keep trying to buy an OL in FA, but that hasn't worked. Sewell would have been their RT for a decade. Now they will lose Higgins. The Bengals were 1-4 without Higgins this year and Chase has played every game. They need OL in the worst way, and they just keep drafting skill players. I live in Cincinnati, and I know that a lot of people here agree with me on this one.
  20. I don't get it. He's from Denver!
  21. I argued and will continue to argue that the Bengals would have a SB by now if they had picked Sewell instead of Chase. Higgins and Boyd should have been enough to win if Burrow is as elite as they say he is.
  22. This is a playoff game. Both teams are tight.
  23. But he is wearing a cap..... /s
