  1. My mom talks about going to UB faculty parties in the early 80s where the coke was right next to the wine and cheese. So not only did Dan Marino do coke, but his professors probably did too.
  2. I’m usually one to get mad at this type of thing, but there is nothing to any of these tweets. He uses the n-word the way it is used is the popular music of our time. White kids should not do this, but they do all the time. And the other thing is clearly a joke in response to another joke. I for one don’t believe that if he were a racist that it would be his business. I don’t want racists on the team, just like I don’t want domestic abusers. But Josh Allen does not reveal himself a racist in those tweets, only a 21st century teenager who didn’t consider himself an NFL prospect at the time. All that being said, I hope that the Bills don’t draft Paxton Lynch 2.0.
  3. Someone on Twitter pointed out that his high school team was the cavaliers.
  4. Leper Messiah for any QB drafted by the Bills
  5. Baker mayfield will use Big Pimpin’ and do the crotch grab at the comish.
  6. Since NBA playoff games take 2-2.5 hours, this makes a lot of sense.
  7. I think that the Browns are not tipping their #1 pick like teams in the past have because they are in the unique situation of also having the #4 pick. That means that they need to play the game.
  8. I think that having "no trade" mocks is meaningless because history tells us that there will be trades. The Bills might now make one, but some team will and throw everything off.
  9. The Bengals only had one full-time scout and three "scouting consultants" in 2011 (I checked Internet Archive). And remember, they have no GM. So who the hell knows who made that pick. And Locker, Gabbert and Ponder were all long gone by the time the Bengals picked Andy Dalton at 35th (Rd. 2). So I could argue that other teams saved Mike Brown from himself. I don't care how Kiper's mocks compare to the actual draft but I would be interested to know how well he evaluates players compared to NFL GMs. What I would want to do is to take a team (lets say the Bills) and for a period of 10 years (2005-2015) compare their actual draft performance to how they would have performed if they had selected Kiper's "best available" every time they picked.
  10. Mike Brown is so cheap that he used to use Kiper's big board in place of a scouting department. That sound like a yo mama joke, but it is the truth.
  11. I'm OK with whoever they pick, but I hope that the Bills aren't. I'm not the one spending hours upon hours scouting these players. Even if I did, I would hope that professional scouts see things in game film that I as a fan do not see. I also didn't sit in the interview room and I wasn't at the private workouts. So given the fact that they have a lot more information than I do, I would hope that the the Bills' front office has much stronger opinions on these players than I do.
  12. Baker- maple Allen: mighty oak Darnold: ash Rosen: palm
  13. Cafe Press will make you an OJ thong.
  14. I want to trust Beane, but this is a disaster. We had to beat any offer.
  15. People here in Cincinnati know this, but perhaps Bills fans don’t. Mike Brown, who makes every player/personnel decision for the Bengals, is incredibly change averse. He kept Marvin Lewis even after two terrible seasons. He keeps resigning middling players like Russel Bodine because, and I (almost) quote, “we know what we have.” He refuses to upgrade at the QB position because he knows and likes Andy Dalton. People here in Cincinnati have been screaming that AJ should be given a shot to win the job. Based on training camp and preseason he has won the job the past two years. The Bengals, not the Brown or Jets, are currently the worst-run franchise in the NFL. Their personnel decisions should not enter into your assessment of a player. I watch the Bengals almost as much as I watch the Bills. I would rather have AJ than Dalton.
  16. The rumor here in Cincinnati is that they agreed to it but didn’t get the trade in before the deadline passed. Remember, the Bengals don’t have a GM.
  17. I think that A.J.'s agent is spreading these rumors in an attempt to create a market.
  18. I once had a student at Indiana University write on an H105 (American history) exam "Washington was lucky to have such well endowed advisors as Hamilton and Jefferson." I wrote as a comment "a reference book that contains that information for historical world leaders would explain a lot." To be fair, I didn't deduct points because you can technically be endowed with great intelligence or leadership, but...
  19. I live in Cincinnati, and the Bengals fans only like this because they did something. Remember, the Bengals don't have a GM and the owner likes to maintain relationships even if that means keeping marginal talent well past the the expiration date or keeping problem players even when the distraction overcomes their usefulness on the field. The Bengals have needed a complete roster turnover and a culture change (not to mention a coaching change) for a while now and the fans see this a baby steps in that direction. As for me, I love the trade. I like that the Bills are swinging for the fences for the first time in a long time. It might not work out, but I won't hold it against them because at least they are trying.
  20. Right after he took that picture, Giselle came in and yelled at him for putting his feet on her coffee table books which she paid an interior designer $100,000 to place just right on the giant ottoman. Also, I wonder what he uses those tissues for?
  21. Why can't I get excited? I'm excited about the Bills whipping the Colts. I'm beyond excited about that throw Tyrod made to Percy. I'm excited about Mariota. I'm excited about the Cowboys comeback against the Giants. I'm excited about the two games tonight. Football's back and the Bills don't suck! You know what I'm not too excited about? My 3:00 meeting with general council to discuss ADA compliance of vendor systems. If you can't get excited and irrational about sports, why watch them?
  22. It kills me to hear Gronk, with that thick Buffalo accent, playing for the Pats.
  23. Could it be that the willingness to do what it takes to win at all costs that caused that Belichick to flip from the Jets to the Pats?
