  1. To be fair, if you weren't a Bills or Jets fan would you have watched this game instead of watching KC throw the ball all over the park?
  2. Its all just confirmation bias. If you had Josh scored low coming out, there is enough in the stats to confirm your bias. And before you scream "there is more to football than stats!", note that post is in a fantasy blog. Fantasy football is only stats.
  3. I gave up on the team and season at halftime. I didn't post anything in the GDT, but I sure as heck said a lot to my TV before turning it off and leaving the house. The turnovers just drove me nuts, especially the one that got called back to the unrelated defensive holding penalty. How can you let a safety bait you into that throw? I'm still mad about it. FWIW, I dislike social media and message board hot takes because Internet culture doesn't allow you to walk back anything.
  4. I turned off the TV at half time and went to Costco. Place was packed with people buying beer and snacks for the Bengals' 4:00 game. But the Bills won so it was all worth it.
  5. I also live in Cincinnati, and I would argue that everyone here is happier with their 1 point loss in Seattle than we are with our 1 point win. That BBFS is just a really strong negative force. I just went over to Jungle Noise and they are marking week 3 as a surefire win. If we had lost yesterday by a point, we would all be predicting 0-16.
  6. I think that they traded for Rosen because if he works out, they can spend draft capital on other positions thus accelerating the rebuild.
  7. I keep thinking that. I knew as a fan that, although we were not a good team time, we were not as bad as that single game indicated. I think that McD's coaching job in holding that team together after two blowouts and a halftime retirement is one of the best that I have ever seen.
  8. I'm not trying to say that's why the Pats are winning. I just thought it was sort of funny that the Steelers got called for that of all things.
  9. Hold on. We haven't seen the Ravens play an NFL team yet.
  10. They just called called the Steelers for a pick. Against the Pats, who run picks on every play.
  11. Brady kills you if you blitz him and he kills you if he has time. I don't know what you do.
  12. Felt like a Madden glitch in every way, from the misplaced content to the robotic delivery.
  13. He had to turn his torso to catch the ball and when he readjusted his momentum pulled him out of bounds.
  14. Except for the final two minutes of the second quarter and the final five minutes of the game. the clock restarts when the ref spots it. Not that I knew that before looking it up just know.
  15. Also, Wilson and Mayfield are significantly taller than Murray.
  16. I think they called run plays and Allen checked out of them at the line because the Jets are stacking the box daring Allen to throw.
  17. I don't know how you guys post during game play. I'm too intense to work up a legible sentence.
  18. Probably, in terms of raw talent because it's three top level guys. But one or both of Gordon and Brown will flame out before the end of the season. History tells us that. Josh Gordon hasn't played a full season since 2013 and Brown has quit on two teams this calendar year. So I would probably take Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison or Issac Bruce and Tory Holt. Or for that matter Swan and Stallworth in Pittsburgh or Clayton and Duper in Miami.
  19. I don't want the Bills to pay Clowney the amount of money he wants. He seems like the type of player that will quit once he gets paid.
  20. To be fair, I was one of the Josh Allen haters who suddenly reserved himself. But Cowhers is still an idiot, only a half step above Skip Bayless.
  21. I used to have to listen to Cowherd on my drive home because it was either that or Mo Egger's excessive bitching about Marvin Lewis and Andy Dalton. If you listened to his show, you would know that every point that he made is something that has said in the past. He picks games based on who he thinks has the better QB and head coach. He had very strong opinions on the 2018 draft class, and since we now have 3 of the four first-rounders in our division that will drive his rankings almost exclusively. In his rankings, Darnold was the next coming of John Elway and Rosen was right behind him. Allen was on the bottom, second only to Baker Mayfield. Also, that thing about offensive head coaches is something that he says all the time. He's been disabused of this notion by countless guests, most notably Greg Cosel on a weekly basis, but sports talk guys are like message board posters; once they take a public stance on something, it takes a lot to move them off of that position. His professional reputation depends on Rosen and Darnold being superstars and Allen and Mayfield failing. He also spends a lot of time making really stupid weak analogies between sports and business, but that has nothing to do with this except to say that he thinks that anyone who lives in a cold weather small city is a loser. He also thinks that any fan who would sit outside for a game is a loser because winners sit in luxury suites or watch on big screen TVs. He also questioned why any football player would go to Ohio State or Michigan when the women there have "cankles" while all the women at USC and UCLA are really hot. He also thinks that Vegas oddsmakers are completely flawless.
